an9i congrats on OH getting a job
Badlywrittenpoem it's good of you to share your insights, sorry to hear about your loss. I think something going wrong at any stage is something you can't prepare for.
AFM tired and swollen ankles is pretty much me! we still have cotbed and mattress to but and a few bits for hospital bag.
I have two packs of size 1 nappies so far. Any advice on how many of each size to buy for the beginning? I find it a bit confusing cos size 1 and size 2 don't seem to be too different in weight. 33+1
It really depends on how big baby is going to be. If its a 6lb baby you'll probably get through quite a few size 1 packs, if its a 9lber you'd probably only use a couple and move straight to size 2.
I wouldn't get too many size 1's, just enough to see you through the first week or two, then you could always get oh to nip out for more. Says she who already has a stash of size 1,2,3 and 4 nappies!! :rotfl:0 -

A lot but.. if you upload them to a photobox account you get them all for free.. they give you this option after a few weeks of not buying anything.. I bought the smallest pack I could which was £15.. you do get a freebie keyring or 8 passport size pics without buying anything.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi ladies, sorry I haven't posted but just got back from a week away. Dh and I are hoping to get away for a few last days on our own when I go on maternity leave.
Congrats to all the ladies who have had their babies. PP, Delilah is adorable!
Hope all of you are well- haven't finished catching up yet!

Lovely photo pigpen, she's gorgeous! Love her name too. We still haven't decided on a name and I'm starting to get a little worried! We are down to Lauren, Alexa, Imogen and Sophie. But I cold easily introduce some new names to that list. DH didn't like my suggestions of Alice or Emily or Rachel though0

I've been absolutely useless with keeping up with this thread this time.
I had a baby boy on 12th August (due date) and he weighed in at 8lb2oz.
My waters broke about 1:30am and contractions started a few hours later. Very irregular and stop start all day. Went in at about 4pm to be told I'm not technically in labour (was a bit confused by this) and that I hadn't even started dilating yet. Went home, had dinner, watched Dexter, drifted off between contractions and about 8pm I became one of those screaming ladies from OBEM! The pain was intense, I couldn't even feel the TENs machine anymore. Contractions came every few minutes, after half hour OH made me speak to the hospital and they told me to come in when they heard me.
Arrived at hospital at 8:55pm, straight on gas and air (I love that stuff), had DS at 9:05pm!Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
