MV.. he is fine with DS.. you just stay where you are and let him deal with it. I always feel like it is undermining the other parents confidence and their parenting skills to intervene.. feel free to use that one.. if you wants you to help he will shout!

Mine have taken to girl fighting.. hair pulling/throwing/screaming/slapping etc.. They are going in the bin!

DS is such a handful at the moment :(

If he doesn't get his way he screams in my face and has a massive meltdown..I struggle to hold my temper at times and have yelled at him (not good I know).

we've all been there.. and being tired and hormonal does make your temper shorter and you are les tolerant.. it may well be he is a little unsure with the new arrival on its way and just wants some reassurance you still love him.. plus they do pick up that you can't do the running after than and push those boundaries too.

    It is all quite normal.

You should see what my 2 have been up to today.. the throwing is really piddling me off.. I hate throwing.. they have been made to clean up numerous messes.. cutlery, food, CDs, dirty laundry etc.. and have been placed in 'time out' a few times due to fighting and I have a collection of toys they have been squabbling over.

ha I did a 'time out' this afternoon! 2 mins in his room for having a screaming fit.

Went in after 2 mins and he was happily singing to himself and playing with his toy garage! :rotfl:

I think one of the things that winds me up most is when he gets a bit silly and hysterical towards the end of the day and will not do anything I ask. He just manically laughs, and often is trying to hit OH..I know he thinks it's a game but it gets my blood boiling.

ahh all that and a newborn will be fun! PP I do not know how you do it!

Awww Sparkles - I have my fingers crossed for you - I had loads of show and then the day before induction....hey presto! Go for a massive shopping trip and out for a meal....may kill you....but I am sure that it brought on my labour! LOL!

Well done MV for getting so much sorted - make sure you make time for yourself - sounds like your little one is playing up to you - bless - hand him over to your OH and go on a "me" day - or even a "me" few hours.

Still lurking watching all you preggy ladies....waiting for the next hatchings!!! Good luck everyone who is getting close! xx

They stop doing it once baby arrives.. mostly.. obviously they don't grow a halo or anything but it does improve once they realise you can catch them again ;)

Very productive day here today. MV do you have any family who could give you a break for a couple of hours? We rang round today and it was our 18 yr old nephew who volunteered to have our 2 yr old for the afternoon (his parents were due home shortly too) our little one had a great time throwing a ball into a bucket of water in their garden. We swopped all our 3 bedrooms round which means dismantling beds and reassembling in a different room. Also a thorough clean. We've been sorting out, decluttering etc for months with this move in mind so I'm thrilled with the progress today. So much easier without a 25 month old to entertain :)

    Thanks for the code bigzippy!

Really suffering with heartburn at the minute, doesn't help that my only real craving has been for cloudy lemonade... Acid ahoy! Not been having too much but the heartburn happens most evenings now anyway :( Has anyone found tablets which taste half decent? On orange rennies just now, which are the best i have found but still rank!

I only do the spearmint rennies..

Have you tried the settlers tums? they do fruit flavours which don't taste of much really.. I accidentally got some lemon gaviscon ones one time.. they were horrific.

ooh.. ranitidine... they are capsule types they are tasteless entirely.. and they work better than most other stuff.. ad you can get them on prescription :money:

Can you stomach yoghurt? that usually works quite well.. it is thicker than juice/liquid so stays down and keeps the acid wit it.. a couple of spoonfuls is usually enough.

Thanks pigpen! Have also tried the strawberry gaviscon ones - quite honestly one of the worst things ever, had to spit it out. Yes, off to try some yoghurt what a good idea :) not feeling sick at all for the last few weeks, have the opposite problem now of wanting to eat but dying with heartburn even with bland foods :(
