 Hell no! That's my childbearing done now. How about you?

I think this time around I have the confidence of knowing I didn't manage to break DS1 so I can't have gone too far wrong.:p

haha well my sensible brain says yes this is it. I'm 40 (and feel it), but something annoying in my brain has this notion that 3 would be the right number.

I doubt it though. We can't afford a big enough house for 3, so I think I'll count myself lucky that we managed 2 :)

I've told DH that if I do end up needing a section then I want to be sterilised when they have me open. He's a bit upset but I really don't want to have any more after this. I'm 35 now but I'm feeling way too old for any more!

    Pigpen your daughter looks stunning.

MV I collected my 2 year old from childminders today at 5pm- he was tired, no nap but I was literally yawning. Re: occupying them, I will definitely try the gingerbread- thanks for that tip whoever it was ;) Do you have a local Sure start centre- ours are fab. Great classes for little ones. Or the libraries all do groups with songs, rhymes and crafts. If not toddler groups at church etc?

Can I ask those ladies with other children, how do you cope with a lively 2 and a half year old when you are feeling like total crap?

I don't cope :) Even though I'm on my feet all day (now a TA) I'm finding work so much easier than being at home!!

DD is constantly demanding, "come outside mummy", "sit down mummy", "colour in mummy"...

Worst of all she's been a nightmare to get to bed and been waking in the night for the past 2.5 weeks now and I'm even more shattered.

I will admit to overusing Cbeebies lately to get her to sit down for an hour so I can recharge, or get a bit of tidying done.

I've tried organising going round friends so I can just sit while she plays. But I don't have any energy to go to the park or Legoland or swimming without OH there to run after her.

I feel guilty too, I try and spend some time colouring with her and stuff like that. But she will sit and colour with me for a good hour or so before getting bored.

It's more the running around after her - changing nappies, attempts at potty training, making drinks, breakfast, baths, bedtime etc that I'm struggling with though.

Ha I'm utilising the tv too much too, but s0d it. I'm exhausted/aching, and a bit of tv never did me any harm :p

We've just got so much to do. Free weekends between now and baby are few and far between so we need to spend the majority of those sorting stuff out.

I feel guilty again today as we haven't done much with DS, but we will take him to the park for a picnic tomorrow.

Auugh modern life is just too hectic!

Afternoon all, finally got released at teatime yesterday... induction is now booked for Tuesday which I'm a bit disappointed about as the hospital didn't have any space on Sunday or Monday :(
Still, it means I should be home with her by next weekend. They've discussed keeping me in a bit longer afterwards to monitor me in case my body goes crazy with the gallstone issues and to allow me to recover so that's a bit of a relief.

Meanwhile, I can't walk without holding bump, having lots of show and feel like I could sleep for a month, so maybe I won't even make it to Tuesday!

  • sounds exciting sparkles - the end is in sight!

just been to mothercare and bought even more baby clothes! I got worried and wanted newborn stuff so got 5 bodysuits and 6 sleepsuits. I actually feel loads better now.

Ugh what a day. DS is going through a really difficult, tantrumy phase. They seem to come and go, but at the moment it's particularly bad. He has so much energy and just kicks off if he doesn't get his way. I just don't have the energy right now!

Managed to get a fair bit of my list done today though :)

    - Got the car tax sorted (lucky as it expires tomorrow!)
    - Sorted out AA breakdown cover which I'd been meaning to do for ages
    - ordered the moses basket/mattress/stand from Amazon
    - ordered a replacement funnel for my breast pump
    - OH got on with dismantling his 'music room'. I did feel a bit sorry for him as he has loved having that space to himself, but needs must and it is destined to be the new baby's nursery.

Loads more to do, but at least we have made a start.

Oop..I can hear DS having another paddy in the bath. Better go and see if I can help OH!
