Hugs, MV. I was in your position a couple of weeks ago - toddlers are bloomin' hard work! Do you have a sainsbury's nearby? They do chilled gingerbread dough - most of the fun of baking without the mess and faff of making it yourself. We also did painting, play dough, stickers etc.

Good to hear you and Rosa are doing well Dida. Though I'm very jealous of how quickly you got her tongue tie sorted. It took us nearly 2 weeks and even then it only happened so quickly after a trip to neonatal because Olly was dehydrated and jaundiced due to the trouble he was having feeding

Welcome to the newbies - you'll be at the top of the list before you know it!

Chilled gingerbread dough sounds ace BB! We do have a sainsburys nearby so will look out for that next time we go shopping :)

How is Olly doing and how are you finding having a newborn second time around?
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

Hello ladies and bumps, can I join you on the big thread?
Can't honestly believe I have made it to 24 weeks pregnant, it has all been a big blur but a bit scary to be over here with lots of you about to pop - In my head I should still be on the less than 12 weeks thread!

If I could be added to the list my EDD is 17th October and we have stayed team yellow (although I do have another few scans booked so may be swayed!)

Just wanted to remind anyone that the 2nd (Tuesday) is the last day for clubcard exchange vouchers too- I've just used mine to get all the baby bedding which seemed like a good deal :-)

    Lemon 24+1

Hi lemon melon great to hear things are going good for you! Im 24+5 so not far away from you, I cant believe ive made it this far either!

Rather MSE post from me here - totally in the wrong section but not really worth starting a thread on in MFW.

My husband and his cousin - in their infinite wisdom - bought a house on a 100% mortgage in 2007. We now live in the house and his cousin (C) lives in Poland. We pay about 2 thirds of the mortgage & all the bills. I want out of this house asap (need to be out by the time baby starts school) and I was considering trying to make overpayments to the mortgage as much as possible.

Just thought though, if we get it down to a break even point and can walk away without anything to pay on the mortgage, if we've made a couple of grand worth of extra payments...why should C benefit from it? It still !!!!es me off somewhat that he !!!!ed off to Europe leaving us with the house - but then if he didn't who knows where we'd live now.

Sorry - that's just a bit of a random rant, but any thoughts?

Went for a follow up scan today in the hospital where I had the cvs, it was another chance for them to check the heart, all was good thankfully.

However when they measured the biparental diameter (is this just the diameter ear to ear?) and head circumference (is this all the way around?-im not sure which) these were above average plus abdominal measurement I heard the sonograph women speaking to her assistance to say this dated it 25+5 which is nearly a week ahead of me, but when they measured the femur this was dated 23+4 nearly a week behind!

I was given a report at the end that had a sliding scale with the middle being average, the abdominal measurement was at the very end of above average, the two head measurements were over average but the femur length was below average.

The consultant did say its nothing to worry about with the femur length and then just said she has a little plump belly but still im a worrier and cant help it. So little one sounds like she has a big head and belly and short legs :(

Has anyone else had their measurements plotted up? In my normal hospital they havent really bothered with the graph to plot anything up.
Perhaps im just getting hung up on averages and hopefully she will catch up with the leg growing, but it freaked me out when they dated the femur measurement nearly a week behind!

Hey BB - I only got it sorted as I have an absolutely wonderful mw - she is superb! I've also had physio come round for Rosa's arm already. Needless to say I have bought her a gift voucher to thank her - she is more wonderful than wonderful! Sounds like you are going through the mill a bit - bless you - I hope all is sorted now. Anyone seen Snoz? xx

I'm here and absolutely cream crackered! I can't believe that my little man is two weeks old tomorrow. We are struggling to breast feed which is making me feel bad but I'm receiving some good support from my local breast feeding team. Other than that, everything is fab :)

Hi Cleo :-) they would have said if they were worried about anything, babies do grow at all different rates after a certain point and they are still measuring something pretty small on something quite fuzzy so even a mm or two makes a difference. My midwife said to me with growth scans one doesn't mean too much, they are much more interested in rates of growth so if it is consistent between your scans that's a much clearer indication of how baby is doing. Get in touch with your MW if it's bothering you though x

Glad all the new babies are doing well :)

I'm fuming just been to the chemist and they refused to sell me cocodamol!! She caught me off guard and I told her they were for me (wont make that mistake again!) I told her the doctor had told me to take them and she still said the pharmacist had said no to stick to paracetamol only! I'm a grown woman, I'm sure I can decide for myself, DS said to me I knew you were furious mum because the red bits of your eyes go funny lmao he calmed me down bless him he does make me laugh :)

Got baby some sleepsuits from @sda in the sale very cute 2 pack £3 bargain :)

    Xx

Hi everyone. Haven't posted in quite some time now.
A while back I posted the following about some minor visual disturbances I was experiencing
I've been seeing weird spots in front of my eyes recently. Like little bright floating lights. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow and am wondering if I should mention it? Don't know if it's pregnancy related.
And I was given lots of advice to mention it to the midwife so I did. She didn't think it sounded serious but that I should check with the GP which I've since done. It appears to be nothing to worry about but thank you everyone for spurring me on to mention it as I feel a lot more reassured now!

When is everyone leaving work? I'm working up to 37 weeks and starting to feel a bit tired now.
