Cleofish, they also did a graph at my 20 week scan which came at average for everything Except above average for femur length and below for the head! So we are going to have a giant legged small headed baby! The sonographer said its just a guideline so not to worry, or they'd refer you on the spot.
Regarding finishing work, I have currently put in to stop working mid week in sept so I can go to my first nhs antenatal (during working hours) the day after. It's 5 days short of 37 weeks so the most I'd like to work to is the Friday and I also need to be in to get double glazing fitted the following week as our house is freezing in winter! Anyway, I'd read somewhere, after submitting my dates, that they do SMP on full weeks, so for the one I'm working part off would technically tigger the payment, but only for 2 days, not a whole 5. So should I ask if I can extend it to the Friday and just not be in half of thurs for the antenatal class? Or just enjoy the extra days off?0 -

Well, after finally getting the tongue tie sorted, he then got a nasty dose of thrush... so we've had to give up on breastfeeding as he was finding it so hard that it had got to the stage that I was doing my back in trying to wrestle with him to get him latched on. We're both far less stressed with bottle feeding so, whilst it's not how I wanted him to be fed, this is what's working for us. He'd lost quite a bit of weight due to the feeding problems, but it's going back on now and he'll hopefully be back to his birth weight soon.
Second time around, I'm a lot more relaxed about it all. First time around I was absolutely terrified of being responsible for a baby and I think I'd have been a gibbering wreck if we'd had these feeding issues as well.
Cleofish, both my DSs had short femur measurements. They just take after DH, who has fairly short legs in relation to his height. That kind of makes him sound like he has the proportions of a chimp :rotfl: It's not actually noticeable. I'm sure it would be picked up if the measurements were anything to be concerned about.
Wow, your DD looks fab, pigpenYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Aww sorry about the tongue tie and the thrush BB, but I think in terms of feeding you are doing the right thing and exactly what I would do. I'm a firm believer that when it comes to feeding you should do whatever is best for you and baby.
Glad to hear you feel more relaxed this time. I was neurotic with DS and the whole responsibility of it terrified me for ages!
I've heard people say that you simply don't have time for all the neurosis when you have a toddler running about the place too!
So do you think this is it for you now? Could there be a no3?Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

 Hell no! That's my childbearing done now. How about you?
I think this time around I have the confidence of knowing I didn't manage to break DS1 so I can't have gone too far wrong.:pYou can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
