Welsh, you're really not alone with this weird man thing where they have their dinner cooked 98% of the time and the other 2% they think they're being really clever by getting themselves a pizza with no regard as to what you're going to eat! My DH is the same though I've explained why this is selfish and now he gives me a slice of said pizza...
Big hugs though, I know how rubbish this can make you feel. xx0 -
My OH is pretty good and will make a yummy dinner but he doesn't seem to get that I need to eat before 9 or I become a crazy shouty person! I want to be in bed by 9, not eating!
Jab went fine this morning, have felt quite nauseous all day but think that's probably more to do with adding another dose of anti d yesterday. Now for an indulgent early evening nap...0 -
Haven't been offered the WC jab here, must ask the midwife about that when I see her on Thursday. Got another scan on Thursday as well, to see how bump's growth is doing (due to having GD). Managing the GD with diet so far, no crazy blood sugar readings yet. Even managing to have a bit of chocolate and ice cream here and there!
Ordered a load of maternity/birth stuff (maternity pads, breast pads etc etc) and some other bits and bobs using clubcard exchange vouchers and money off vouchers, so effectively all for free! It's well worth looking at if you've got clubcard vouchers not being used.

Oh thanks for the reminder, tiny_courageous. I need to persuade OH that he wants to go to Tescos so I can exchange our clubcard vouchers and stock up on nappies and bits.0

36wStill here..... but working on that!0 -
Well... He has just gone out to look at a job!!! He came out all smiles and said 'I was rocking and rolling last night', didn't apologise!!! Then I said to him about the food, 'he said I thought u would have eaten by the time I made food', I said you told me you were making ur own food and I had to sort my self out and you didn't even ask me.... He still didn't get it!!! Then i said I would never think about cooking anything without asking if he wanted some... I think he may have got it... But doubt it!!! And he hasn't done much on the nursery... Said hes been prepping all day to paint tomorrow... Hmmmm looks the same as last night!!!
Littleskintdragon - horay for starting maternity leave... 1 week and half for me!!!0 -
Sometimes when I go to the loo I stand up afterwards and leak, I think it's to do with the bladder not being able to empty properly when the baby is lying in a certain position?
I'm the sameso before I get up I wriggle and stretch and move my tummy as much as possible- there's always some more!
If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
story about your brother made me chuckle. Its probably the closest he can get to what its like i suppose, except he can put it down occasionally and his luggage isn't squashed between his stomach and his bladder. Tell him to drink 2 pints then carry his bag round the block once he feels the need to pee lol:rotfl:
As to sickness- no you shouldn't need proof unless length of absence requires a sicknote. Just ensure they/ you write it on back to work form
I should have thought about the pee thing but he caught me off guard with his little analogy! At least he cares and is trying to be empathetic in his unique little way!
I'll make sure it's noted as pregnancy related. I had a cold in June and an operation last October so I've a couple of occasions of sick in the last 12 months and don't want any more!
Feel like I can go back tomorrow, although I really can't be bothered working any more!!! 2 days in and I'll be back to dragging ar5e
Cleaned up this afternoon and made space for baby bottles, cups, plates etc in the kitchen which feels good as I feel like I'm integrating baby into the house now. I want to have him, come home and all his things be stored where they will always be. Stocked medicine cupboard with baby medicines too.
I've also removed chipped nail polish, shaved legs and plucked one eyebrow. Feeling much better although still having dizzy spells...I think it's just one of those things!
A guy came round this afternoon though to check my insulation levels. I told him I wasn't letting him in as I was busy and the hatch is in baby's room and not accessible as I had pulled stuff out. Cheeky git said 'two choices, two minutes now or I come back but it's getting done today.' !!!!!!...it's my house!!! Anyway he hasn't come back but I find that a bit forceful. I don't let people in my house unless I know they are coming first!!!! Lanyard or no lanyard!! I also had a hole in the bum of my leggings and my greasy hair tied up with knickers!!!0 -
I best keep quiet - my Dh does most of the cooking (always has) and does his fair share of cleaning (his standing joke is that I don't know where the Hoover lives
)
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
OMG Bangton, what a cheeky git! I would have told him where to go to be honest. How rude.
tiny, I've just got my parcel of hospital bag stuff all bought with Boots points, feels like Christmas as it was all free haha! Going to get the bag packed this weekend hopefully just so it's another thing ticked off the list. Might still be another 10 weeks before I need it.
