Its very painful, and (tmi alert) i'm not sure if i'm leaking or its pee, i know its disgusting but has anyone else had it? I mentioned it to dh last night who seemed a bit mortified, but it started late yesterday? Honestly pregnancy is such a beautiful thing.... :-/

My younger brother (whose 26 and pretty immature) rang last night to see how the pregnancy was going (and because he owes me £800). I told him I was tired and heavy and he said 'I completely get it, when I went to Egypt I had to carry my bag round for hours and it did my head in. I was glad to get shut of it when we checked in' :rotfl: Fantastic...he knows pregnancy is hard on the basis of carrying his bag around!
On a final note, does anyone know when your off sick do you have to have proof it is pregnancy related. I mean, do I have to call midwife and say I'm having dizzy spells and tiredness? Apart from 2 hospital trips I haven't had time off due to pregnancy so a bit worried they will record it as sick rather than pregnancy related
story about your brother made me chuckle. Its probably the closest he can get to what its like i suppose, except he can put it down occasionally and his luggage isn't squashed between his stomach and his bladder. Tell him to drink 2 pints then carry his bag round the block once he feels the need to pee lol:rotfl:
As to sickness- no you shouldn't need proof unless length of absence requires a sicknote. Just ensure they/ you write it on back to work form2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

Re hospital tours, I got one as part of my antenatal classes, and then they organised another one that partners can go along to as well, so we had that last night. DH feeling better about the labour side of things now, especially when he realised he wasn't the only guy who doesn't like blood, doesn't want to cut the cord etc.
Are you talking about my husband? :rotfl: (he also hates blood & doesn't want to cut the cord!)
It is amazing how they cope without us - but won't when we are there!0 -
I've noticed your due the day after me and I'm feeling the same regards being too tired to cook and make dinner for the day after!! I rely on jacket potatos and soup as my OH also hates cooking!
Off work sick again today. Slept till 12 noon AGAIN! I'm not sure I can cope with this crippling fatigue for much longer. I'm on the 3rd day of not washing my hair, my eyebrows need plucking, toenails are chipped and I need to shave badly. Living room and kitchen look like we have been burgled although it's hard to know if it's worth cleaning when OH is painting every nook and cranny!
Upstairs is nice though because that's finished. I might just live up there.

Jacket potatoes - that is one of the things that DH can cook (& very well as he would live on them with cheese!) I might have to get him to cook them a couple of times a week
I would love to be able to sleep until 12 - i always used to be able but now i can't sleep after about 9 - i get restless when i am not doing anything - NEVER used to be like that at all
Love how your brother compares pregnancy to carrying a bag & getting shot of it later!:rotfl:0 -

I was told once that leaning forwards and going on your tip toes for a bit after a wee gets that last dribble out! Seems to work!
Loving that my husband is not the only one with questionable cooking skills. When I first met him at uni he was holding a potato and looking at the microwave and was like 'how do I make this into food?!"
Boots are doing 3 for 2 on some useful maternity bits if any of you ladies are still shopping - I got Arnica tablet, tea tree oil and pregnancare on offer, and maternity pads.0 -

I'm lucky my OH is a good cook he makes a mean roast dinner
Although when I asked him to get Moses basket from the loft as it will need cleaning he asked if I was cleaning it with the hose pipe!!! Enough said I deffo need it doing this week can't leave a fella to do jobs like that.

My OH has really done my head in!!! We were sat waiting to see midwife and he said 'I fancy a omelette tonight, I will make that my self and you can sort your own tea out', didnt really register till later in the evening... He didnt even offer to make me one. I would never make food for myself and not offer him any, I make his tea and is on the table when he eventually gets home form work!!! He's been at home all day and suppossed to doing the nursery... doubt he's done much!!!
I will get home and say jokely I thought my tea would be on the table.... then he will get right stroppy and say he has been busy all day!!! I seem to work everyday and tea gets to the table, along with all the house stuff e.g food shopping... men arrrgghh!!!
Just to top it off, he goes to the pub every monday night, which I have no problem with! But he wakes me everytime he comes in, he decided to have 4 pints last night!!! He was rocking and rolling all night along with the farting and getting up for a pee... so basically kept waking me up!!! I told him to go sleep somewhere else, when I am ill I go and sleep on the sofa as not to disturb him, will he hell get out of bed!!! So by 4:30, I am fuming and then he puts his arm round me, that was it... I burst out crying and got out of bed... he says Whats wrong??? whats wrong, You have kept me awake most of the night... sorry!!! arggghhhh
Sorry for the rant, I did have to nip to the loos as started crying writing this!!!! I hope I get an apology tonight... I know one thing I am making my own tea tonight!!!0 -
Welsh - my dh does that! I'll ring him and ask what he wants for tea and he says something like, its ok ill put a pizza in for myself tonight... Erm, what about me? I would never make my own food and not his, if i'm making for me i'd might aswel cook two lots. Seriously where do they come from....Still here..... but working on that!0

Oh dear, I always make OH sleep on the sofabed if he has been on the booze! Seeing as I can't drink at the moment I don't see why I should suffer sleeping with the fumes, restlessness and general annoyingness of a drunken man!
My OH is pretty good on the cooking front and has done the lion's share whilst I've been too knackered to cook.
having said that, we've eaten a fair amount of takeaway's too as often neither of us can be bothered, and you can't beat a takeaway curry
