I work in a school and as yet have heard nothing in terms of what pay I will get.
I got a letter from my head teacher confirming dates, but no actual information confirming I will get paid SMP and how much.
I start maternity leave on the 5th September so had assumed I would of heard something by now or it possibly because of working in a school the county have sent it to my work place and thus I won't get it until I go back to work on the 3rd?I assumed everyone was entitled to the full maternity pay provided they'd done the minimum weeks, was it 24 or something? I've been at my company 5 years so hoping I'm entitled to the full whack!Congratulations on all the new babies
Can I ask have most people had the whooping cough vaccine? I'm really not sure whether to or notthe MW said its basically to protect the baby from birth to 6/8 weeks once they have the actual jab.
MV all sounds very frustrating, hopefully it won't be too much longer for you xx2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013

29+1.
Yeah wish I'd have known that made sleeping for a couple of nights after even harder.
Actually cannot remember the last time I had a full nights sleep....
Glad to hear others have experienced 'vibratey' movements, felt a few myself and was getting a bit worried as don't remember noticing them with the other two. Then again I think I've probably noticed things more this pregnancy, or I've just forgot bits about the others!0 -
I have my WC jab tomorrow morning, on top of my extra dose of anti d today! Haven't seen anything against having it on first two pages of google and personally feel like I'd like to think I'm giving bubs the best/safest start to life outside. Fingers crossed its straight forward for everyone!0

PP - your link won't work for me, I just get a FB 'unavailable' message. Can you try again? Glad she is settling in so well
Bleugh I feel really crap after my MW appt earlier. I think I walked too far and that with the vigourous pressing of my tummy has made me sore and uncomfortable
Think I'm going to take my sorry self off to bed. Hope everyone has a peaceful night xMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Once I'm on ML I get 90% of my salary for 6 weeks then into basic SMP. Apparently it's calculated per day rather than week so each month varies. I've had to really pester work to get my figures as it will affect whether I can afford my sons nursery once I'm on basic rate. I should know end of this week.
Lobey I think my anti D and HC (if I go ahead!) wil be v close together too. Those anti D jabs are quite painful I'd say worse than most other jabs I've had before xxTrying to save for a deposit
4000/ 10000 saved so far..0 -
I had the whooping cough vaccine, to be honest I never gave it a thought about not having it.
I even asked about the TB vaccine as with being from Australia that was never on my immunisation program. I was born the same year as my hubby and he obviously had the vaccine which is why I bought it up very early on in my pregnancy. Of course I didn't need it.
I did have the injection in my right arm though as thought that was best with the whole better to lay on your left side in pregnancy when sleeping. I got a small bruise along with a feeling of a heavy arm by the end of the day as had the injection early morning other than that totally fine.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
I am having the WC vaccine next week- it has never even crossed my mind not to have it, but then I am very pro vaccination.
I am starting to get a lot of cramp in my legs at night now, it's a horrible feeling! Yesterday I was getting in the car and my whole left hip/ thigh cramped up which was awful! I really couldn't move and then I started laughing at the ridiculous situation, which just made it worse. I didn't really know what to do for cramp in that area- very odd!
Congratulations on all the new arrivals, how exciting! :j0 -
I am also very pro-vaccine and never for a minute considered not having it. Was totally fine, bit of an achy arm but no other effects. Not sure how many weeks you are cloudy but I had horrendous foot/calf cramps from about 20-28 weeks but they seem to have eased off now, nowhere near as frequent!

Congratulations on all the new arrivals
I had the whooping cough vaccination, was fine. I tend to have all vaccinations though so like some of the others didn't consider refusing it.
Re maternity pay - I had a letter informing all of my contract details, how long I'd get paid for etc but it didn't mention any actual amounts of pay (I get occupational pay as well as SMP)
AFM - not feeling too great. Hip is a bit clicky and have been struggling to walk at times. I've had low down back and abdomen pain all night and have a bad stomach this morning (sorry if tmi). Feeling nauseous too, not sure what's wrong, did wonder if my contractions had started at one point but its eased off now. Any ideas?

Toothfairy- I am 29+3, so hopefully they won't last too much longer, very annoying! I will do my yoga DVD tonight anyway and see if that helps.0
