Congratulations nutshell - down the list we plod.....
Oh bummer forgot what i was going to write!!
I'm back... K&f it wont b long now i'm sure x
Bangton - how many weeks are u?
I properly stressed on friday and started cleaning like a crazy woman, ive just written a 50 point to do list or before the baby arrives.... Point 50. Relax!! I actually have to remind myself its got that bad!!
Nearly 33 weeks so I have a while but the hospital dated me almost 2 weeks back so in my head I've always thought I'm right and he will be early! (Partly because from their dates I would have found out I was pregnant at just 3 weeks). I'm working quite late as well so weekends are the only time I have to get things done with the hours I work. By time maternity comes he will be due in 2 weeks!
Today I tried to clear baby's room but OH was painting cellar door so I couldn't take some of the things down there..like ladders and paint pods that shouldn't even be in there so I just sat there moving things round and round till I realised I was getting nowhere!
I know what your saying with the relax thing..sometimes I just lie down and watch baby move to remind myself what this is all for as it completely slips my mind that I am actually having a baby rather than being just fat, exhausted and stressed for no reason!
I've calmed down a little now. We went to B&Q and got some new light fittings which OH is currently fitting and congratulating himself on so assuming they look good but waiting till they are all up to look at! :rotfl:
New bedding too...so life's good again until I get stressed at nothing in about 5 minutes time!
I'm not ready for baby in house but so ready in mind! Wish he was just here!0 -
Lobey midwife will prob say take it easy and keep an eye on your bumps activities. I had light brown stains at 37 weeks and all she said was if baby is still kicking like normal, no pain and no bright red blood, all is ok.
However I am not a midwife so ring to put your mind at restNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

So many replies! I've been away from the laptop all weekend, had a very big chat and tried to get out the house, with a LOT more supportive man than he demonstrated on friday night/saturday morning! Sorry in advance for this stupidly long post, so much niceness wanted to try and reply to everyone...Is there anyone he could get a lift from- a colleague who drives nearby or if your OH walked a certain way they could pick him up part way? Seriously he needs to grow up, your LO is onroute and there's no way you can bundle a baby into the car to be driving here there and everywhere!
Does he not realise how much life would be easier if he could drive himself?
I'm trying to organise him into walking with someone or getting a lift/taxi share anything, difficult as theres so many different shift times! Hoping in his lesson on wednesday he puts his !!!! into gear and proves he can pass his test!Big hugs Katie, this isn't the stress you need at this point. Hope you get an apology.
Eventually I did get one, with an aknowlegdement of what exactly annoyed me rather than a general sorry!Angelmommy wrote: »Big hugs Katie. That's not very fair on you. I think some men expect babies to come on their due dates and possibly a day or two before so think they can carry on doing their own thing until 39wks. Xx
Hes learning quickly not the case! His mum backed me up on how difficult it is being this pregnant sometimes, just by me and her having a 'got stuck in the bath' conversation...Toothfairy4 wrote: »Oh Katie, what a git! I would be so angry if my DH did that. Agree you need to sit him down later and give him a good talking to about being responsible!
Feels like theres a foot wedged in my ribs today. No longer the room there used to be in there for somersaulting about.
30+2
Oh i have, he's back on side and agreed to no more nights out, planned or unplanned for a while!
And has baby turned? Think i was at 30 weeks when he turned and I had a permanent foot wedged... he dropped down a bit about a week later so that relieved me a bit, hopefully bab will do the same for you!BeNiceToMySelf wrote: »oh dear Katie, hope he comes to his senses soon x
got my pushchair today - babyjogger city mini gt in blue. I am impressed with the one hand fold and maneuverability. I was a bit surprised at how heavy it was (10 kg) but that might be because I haven't been picking up anything heavy for 7 months! I just wanted something good to take baby to the park in. 32+1
Thankyou, think he has! and I have the babyjogger mini city in purple! Can't wait to try it out properly, i love it though!Congrats pp!
Katie, I'm raging on your behalf!
I'm being induced next weekend (eek) and my house is still a tip. OH decided that today he'd concentrate on cutting the grass - !!!!!!?! Never mind the boxes and bags of stuff needing sorted in the house, I'm sure the baby will be very pleased that the garden looks reasonable
Oh god don't do that you don't need more stress! Sounds like you've had enough, sounds like priorities going on with the OH there! Mines like that sometimes, think it's temporary brain-deadness? Not sure if that makes sense.... good luck for next week though! Hope everything gets sorted first for you!
Hugs Katie. Men can be complete !!!!!!!s at times. I'm sure my hubby forgets I'm pregnant sometimes. I make him touch and talk to my belly loads just so that he doesn't forget
29+4
Haha i do this! Make him talk to him, now he can see him move about he gets facinated and stares for ages while he does it, gives me hope he'll grow up a bit i thinkKatie make sure OH is in no doubt how you feel. DH got very drunk just before Christmas, when I was 4 months pregnant with our first. That evening it snowed heavily. He fell asleep on a train. Didn't know where he was so just walked til he saw a landmark he recognised then rang me to rescue him. Had to get dressed, clear several inches of snow off car, deice windscreen then drive on fresh snow to go find him before he died of hypothermia in the middle of nowhere on his own. They'd go ballistic if we were that stupid.
Oh, my, GOD! I would have flipped!! Thats a much larger level of stupidity, jesus... hope theres been no other incidents like that
Katie - I think your oh is lucky to have you - I think I would not only lock him out but get the locks changed! Hope he sees sense soon!
I'd worry too much, even though he would have thoroughly deserved it! Too early to tell on the sense bit, but he's aknowledged and no more 'incidents' since, so hopefully theres some hope!bride2be2012 wrote: »
Big hugs Katie, men are useless sometimes!
They are! ): Glad to see some other horror stories (now i've calmed down a bit) They've made me feel like i'm not the only one!
Sorry to those having OH issues..especially Katie! I'd be so peed off! Luckily mine is absolutely obsessed with getting house in order so he's really cracked on, telling me today that his deadline for completion is 1st September (baby due on 2nd October). Having a lazy day today though as he went out last night..not late but think he ate too much curry!
You're lucky (in a way!) with him then trying to get everything organised, we're the oposite, only just getting there at 34+6! Bad for the lazy days though, i do love the bluebird idea, maybe ask for them to be framed? Best of both worlds possibly? They do sound very cute though.
And an update on me this weekend, I now have one leaky boob (TMI i know) but ONE? It's all lumpy now like there's more to come, and only happening at night, where i'm trying not to restrict them into a bra, so a nice almost snail trail on my tummy and wet patch on my side of the bed... blughhh
Oh and congrats to PigPen, OscarthePug, & nutshell82! One gorgeous baby from the photo on here, and two gorgeous name too! Lots of new girlies in the world, hope you're all enjoying them xx0 -
