He sounds a little bit OCD!
My DH only takes about 10 mins in the shower, but he needs to sit on the toilet for about 30 mins before he gets in the shower and then when he's out of the shower he lounges around in his towels <AIR DRYING!!!!> !!!!!!!
He is also thinks that changing bag fairies live in our house who refill the bag with wipes, nappies, clean clothes and muslins!!!
I used to think so too, til I met the rest of his family, and they are all the same...takes forever to get anywhere or do anything!
Have to say though he is generally being good about getting things done before baby arrives. Though sometimes its used as an excuse to get out of regular housework - yesterday I asked him to Hoover for visitors coming while I nipped to tesco. Came home to find no hoovering done but the babys crib had been put together! And washing the car and tidying the garden takes priority over everything!0 -

My husband does the air drying thing too - on the bed (which I've inevitably just made), having mangled ALL the pillows including mine, and usually it takes a good 45 minutes.
REALLY annoys me when he wafts around in splendour for an hour on a morning and I struggle to find time to chuck my hair in a ponytail, show my teeth a toothbrush and find something to throw on clotheswise before dressing and feeding two kids.
His father's as bad - can take an hour and a half to shower... damned MIL just drips insipidly "oh he's just a maaaan" and enables all this uselessness!
And while we're ranting - apparently putting a toddler to bed involves plonking her in her cot and going to lie down and watch the Simpsons while I deal with the baby's inevitable post-feed vomittacular (oh yay the joys of reflux).
Oh and he can take 45 minutes picking up dog poo in the garden and making a big deal about it... if he picked it up when he saw them do it - like I do - it wouldn't be a big job now would it.
Oh and we get the changing bag thing as well - and the nappy change box (we keep one downstairs as I'm not up to running up and downstairs to get to the change table) - he never puts things away properly in there so I can never find things either (when you've got two both in the same colour nappy packs in different sizes - I need things where I know where they are or I do daft things like trying to put size 3 nappies on a toddler and wondering why they won't fit).

Does anyone know when the £20 off baby stuff over £100 at Boots is due to end? I want to use it off my pram system but don't want to buy it just yet
Congratulations PP & Oscar

He also tends to go through loads more products than me too - he can use two bottles of shower gel in the time it takes me to use one! He also faffs about whenever we have to go anywhere - needs to double check all the doors are locked and the windows are shut, make sure all the living room furniture has blankets on in case the dog gets up on it - it drives me insane and he has been well warned he is not to carry on like that when I go into labour or I will drive myself to the hospital! His whole family are the same though, we had some visiting yesterday and it took them 20 minutes to get the car off the drive when they were leaving!
Big hugs Katie, men are useless sometimes!
Omg r u married to my husband??
He does exactly the same... He checks every door, window etc, i just go and wait in the car while he checks everything! the dogs blanket, and that the dogs got water, and the garage is locked...
And the whole toilet thing grrrr!!
I actually hadnt considered that this might make me late for getting to hospital.... Oh no!! Maybe with the first twinge i should tell him i need to get to hospital, that way i should just about get there in time to push??Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Sophie Grace born last Wednesday 7th weighing 7lb7. Got home on Friday and having problems getting her established with her feeding. Ended up having a section as the drip took me into labour before I was dilating properly. Feeling a bit sore, but absolutely loving being a mum.0

Aw wow - congratulations Oscar, Pigpen & Nutshell. Lovely wee girls all round.
It's my due date today and I'm pig sick. Even had a shot on the trampoline last night to dislodge the wee wriggler. God knows what size this baby is going to be when it finally makes an appearance!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000
Current mortgage £28,0000 -
Nutshell! Congrats!!!! 3 baby announcements in 24hrs - on a roll!!! So pleased for all of you and a tiny bit jealous! I want to be nearer my due date although I just have a feeling he's coming early. Don't know why ..maybe it's because getting things sorted for him is absolutely driving me round the twist. I've nearly cried because it's 2 weeks till our fitted wardrobes get fitted and I have nowhere to put things which means no organisation whatsoever! Until my cots up I just cannot relax. Since my last post I've gone from quite chilled out to super super stressed!!!!!!!!!
All baby's things are in a washing bag too because we need to get round to painting the drawers among other things so I just can't find all the newborn things I need to pack and finish my hospital bag. To be honest I think I may end up taking that laundry bag to the hospital!

Although I have to say, I did get a couple of hours peace this morning when OH took DS to softplay, and he is now working on the nursery, so I've let him off for nowMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
