Re Bottles, my sister keeps a flask to hand and when she boils the kettle and lets it cool a bit she pours the whole thing into the flask and then next time she needs to make a bottle she has the right temp water. She has a little flask she takes out and about as well
I thought it was a good time-saving idea!

Yep! Cbeebies was my best friendHe also spent a lot of time using DH's tablet computer to watch cartoons on You Tube. And I felt like the worst mother in the world for letting him be glued to a screen all day, but it was never going to be a permanent thing, it was just the best I could do to keep him entertained at the time. We did do some baking, play dough, painting etc but I spent far more time setting up and clearing away than he spent actually doing the activity!
Re: making up bottles, I use a flask so we always have hot water ready to make up a bottle. They don't recommend you pre-make bottles and keep them in the fridge any more, but I can't see that would cause too many problems as long as you cool them down quickly and get them in the fridge asap. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Afternoon all
With the bottles I just sterilise them fill them with the hot water and let them cool in the bottle, then measure the required amount of powder into a powder dispenser ready to add to the water when required HTH

I am so SICK of kids TV today. It's relentless!
bella I've gone for the Lascal buggy board to fit onto my Bugaboo. Have no idea if DS will stand on it, but worth a try I guess!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
My Lo will be 20 mths when bump comes along I've got an Uppababy Vista which you can buy a second seat for, but it can only be used with the car seat or the toddler seat not the carry cot. I'm thinking about getting a buggy board, but I'm the same Metranil Vavin not sure if she will stand on it. It's expensive to test it out the second seat is £100 and buggy boards aren't cheap either.

Hi all, just back from town and Primark still have multipacks of vests/sleep suits half price - some of mine even went through at £1 rather than £3 so major bargains to be had! Tempted to go back tomorrow and stockpile bigger sizes too.
Is anyone planning on using real nappies? A local project is offering a free newborn starter kit that I've signed up for, then they hire larger sizes for £5 a month, that I'm quite tempted by. But I don't know anyone who uses real nappies, I know my mum used them for us but I'm almost 29 so know that things will have changed a bit since then!0 -
I'm planning on using reusable nappies. Have ordered a few bumgenius, little lambs and tots bots bamboozles to see what works best before ordering a full stash. Sadly Bristol council don't offer any incentives despite recently winning the Green city award!0
