Yes!!! Even Cbeebies isn't shutting her up now! Because it's never the program she wants to watch, grrr. It's not like I haven't been doing loads either. In the past week we've been to the Lido, Park numerous times, picnic, miniature railway. What more does she want? I'm shattered.
I attempted potty training back in May but failed and gave up. I tried again 2 weeks ago, and she got it within 24 hours. It was incredible the difference of how easy it was compared to my attempts in May. So don't fret and try again another time. I've had every Tom, !!!!!! and Harry tell me she will regress when the new baby gets here and that I shouldn't have bothered. Oh well. I'll deal with it then. OH will be home to mop up the accidents!Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Oh and I got a bit excited last night as I got tummy rumbles and tummy pains and had a clearout (sorry if TMI). But nothing else happened. Oh well. I'll try not to think about it. Could be another 2 and a bit weeks to go yet.

I know not directed at me, but I've been trying to wear DD out. I do feel fortunate to have my parents local, so mum has been coming with me so I have an extra pair of hands. We have a great play gym locally which is brilliant. I can pretty much sit and let her get on with it where as soft play I don't feel I can let her play in the big areas on her own.
She also loves her Grandad, so I've been visiting quite often and she follows him around like a dog lol, gives me a nice rest!Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Thanks Giz. Blimey you sound like you've done loads! Kudos to you! Don't know how you do it!
I struggled down the road to our local primary school yesterday to have a picnic and playdate with my friend and her DS, was totally achy by the time I got back as had to push DS back up the hill in his buggy as he didn't want to walk.
I was going to try and get out to the park today, but frankly I just can't face it. We've done drawing and Playdoh so far, now building towers and watching Peppa Pig.
I know it's awful, but I'm so glad my childminder is back from hols next week and she is taking DS Monday and Wednesday.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

I so wish my parents lived nearby, but they are over and hour away, pretty old and in poor health, so even if I take DS over there they can never take him out anywhere or even pick him up, so it's no break for me at all really.
OH's parents are good and came down Monday to Weds this week, but again they are in Warwickshire (I'm in London) so it's over 3 hours drive away
If I had someone to help me at the park I think I'd be fine, but as it's just me I can't lift him on and off the swings/run after him when he dashes off etc.
It's rubbish.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
It's not awful, MV. It's damn hard work looking after a toddler while being pregnant. I look forward to OH's day off just so he can get up every five minutes to do the things DD wants! Wish I had a childminder!!Baby Giz born 6/2/110

I just feel guilty all the time at the moment. Like we should be doing more, he should be running about outside and not stuck indoorsMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

sorry for moaning.
I'm doing the best I can. I need to keep reminding myself of that.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Try not to beat yourself up MV. It's my first baby and I am constantly wondering how people with a young child to look after could possibly manage as I don't feel I would be able to! It's not forever, and you're trying to do something which is very difficult.
I had an email from pink lining to say they've got 50% off selected changing bags. They're not my style but I believe they're very highly rated:

I know what you mean about running about. Again I'm so lucky - my parents garden backs onto a park, they have a gate that leads right into it, so Mum takes her for a walk out there in the woods and she loves it.
It's not much longer now anyway. Although having a new born will have it's new challenges...I'm thinking how can I look after two?! If I'm feeding the newborn, I can't exactly run after DD.Baby Giz born 6/2/110
