Is this the type of witch hazel I should get? You can tell i'm a first timer lol!

Also a first timer here. I got the gel - http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Pharmaceuticals-Witch-Hazel-Gel-35ml-_1132109/ figured it'd be good for spreading on maternity pads. The poor teenage sales girl's face was a picture when I told her what it was for :rotfl:

Had the most mahooosive chinese last night and slept really badly. haven't had a disturbed night like that in ages (loads of vivid dreams, half awake most of the night) since I last got really really drunk! Probably about a year ago now! Figuring it was the MSG and now feeling like a terrible mummy for eating such junk. :(

Why is it when you're waiting for a parcel it never comes?! I bought the cutest baby gro with our surname embroidered on (ie. "Baby Xxxx") and a matching hat and bib! I can't wait for it to arrive to show hubby and his family at the weekend! Currently staring out the window at every passing vehicle in hope and anticipation!!!

Aw, do you have a garden?

I know what you mean about running about. Again I'm so lucky - my parents garden backs onto a park, they have a gate that leads right into it, so Mum takes her for a walk out there in the woods and she loves it.

It's not much longer now anyway. Although having a new born will have it's new challenges...I'm thinking how can I look after two?! If I'm feeding the newborn, I can't exactly run after DD.

We do have a garden, but it's the most un-child friendly garden in the world!

We live in a top floor maisonette and the garden is accessed down a dangerously steep staircase in our kitchen. I worry about going ar5e over t1t down the stairs myself let alone DS. Once out there, we only have a small bit of lawn, and lots of concretey bits that he could easily fall down and crack his head open on. He gets so bored out there, so if I do get us out there he wants to come in again within 10 mins!

Your parents garden sounds amazing! I wish we had something like that.
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
  • This is our garden. You can see the 'death stairs' and all the concrete step bits.

If you look up the garden from the door as well, there are more concrete levels. I can't relax and let him run about as I am constantly worried he will fall or trip and really hurt himself.

It was a great garden pre-kids!

Not being kept in (yay!) but I have been sick which was no fun. Doctor is currently speaking to a consultant about inducing me between 38 and 39 weeks which is anytime from Tuesday onwards. Must say I'm all for it!
  • Good news claree. Not too much longer to wait now!

Very true! Asked my Mum to come get me today because OH was struggling for time off - thought about 9.45 would be reasonable (9am appointment) and I'm still here. Wouldn't feel so bad but she's brought my 3 year old niece with her who I'd imagine is getting somewhat impatient. Bit annoyed as well as it means I'm sitting on my own with kids not being allowed in this dept :(
  • Just read back through the thread, i think i'm defo one of the 'children having children' club, im 22! though do feel like i'm 70, woke up 3 times last night, took an hour to get back to sleep one time... and now my back is killing me ):
Really wanted to go to hobbycraft and have a look st cross stitch kits, since after my hobby posts (about 10 pages ago!) I've decided cross stitch might be for me... but don't think i'll survive the walk round the store!

Good look everyone today who are still waiting! xx

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining you :) I am 24 weeks today and the time is flying by. I am expecting baby #2 who is a girl (if the scan is correct!). I already have a 3 year old son who is lovely (but very demanding and knows EVERYTHING!)

I haven't fully caught up yet but I am also v anxious about having a toddler and a newborn. My son has been very demanding since birth so I am worried if I will be able to divide my attention. My DH also works away most of the time so I will be on my own (no support from family really).

With my son I searched all over for the most reasonable muslin squares thinking we wouldn't really use them but they were a godsend and my son still uses them now to comfort himself. He had a variety of designs so I've bought these slightly un MSE muslins http://www.amazon.co.uk/Faye-Lou-Rainbow-Muslins-Pack/dp/B005KLEGFY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376044175&sr=8-1&keywords=faye+and+lou as they are completely different to my sons so hopefully he wont keep nabbing his sisters!

Looking forward to getting to know you all xx
