  • Does anyone else have baby like the movement of the car??

Noticed that last night and tonight my baby goes crazy with movements once I am in the car. Thankfully I have been the passenger as on more than one occasion the past 2 evenings movements have been so obvious that it's like it's kicking me in the bladder cos I suddenly have a baby movement followed by the urge to need the toilet, which then goes away and I definitely don't need the toilet.

It's a very odd feeling as don't want to have an accident, lol.

Just got my moses basket and its in fab condition, so very very pleased.

Re the whopping cough injection, my arm started to ache a few hours afterwards and I ended up with a bruise. Other than that, I was fine.

You dont sound overweight to start with. I would never have spoken to you like that - it is dreadful!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Evening :)

Continualdiamond - fab news about the moses basket. They do get used for such a short time so its worth getting second hand and buying a new mattress. I iwll be reusing DDs for this baby, but it is a very girly pink basket, so poor baby if he/she is a boy. Oh well, I'm sure he won't mind :)

TTC40 - Hey twinny! Pleased that your growth scan went well and how nice that your mum and dad got to see too. I'm sure they were happy.

lobey - Non bio is recommended for little ones. We use Fairy Non-Bio for everything now. We also use Comfort Pure fabric conditioner. But you shouldn't use fabric conditioner for washable nappies as it affects the absorbency. Apparently.

fluffysox - Sorry to hear about your SIL. How awful :(

MV - Fab bump as always! Why do you have to go into hospital when contractions are 20 min apart? Do they think you'll go quite quick?

Claree - Great bump pic! Hope you are feeling better today.

Courgette - Fingers crossed baby makes an appearance on time for you! I've never looked into home births so don't jknow the ins and outs, but what happens if you go 2 weeks over and don't get induced? Do they still allow a home birth?

That's as far as I can scroll back! I hope everyone and bumps are well.

Afm, the second trimester energy has definitely left the building! I'm feeling so tired and lethargic lately, but had my bloods done on Monday and iron levels were all fine. DD is keeping me busy but still sleeping like a champ until about 8.30am most days so at least I'm getting a bit of a lie in. Really need to sort out DDs baby clothes and find the neutral newborn stuff. It's all boxed up so will have to get hubby to find it. The highlight of my day was choosing a new kitchen floor. Guy is coming on Saturday to measure up and quote so me and hubby need to agree.

Anyways, time for bed I think. Wonder how many times I will be up tonight to pee?!

    28+1

    Hi girls...

Some midwives suck...I'd be gutted to be told I'm too fat but I never ever get weighed. No idea how much I've put on! I look a porker though now and people aren't backwards in telling me so. I had a lovely midwife today (keep getting different ones as mine is off). My own midwife just annoys me..not really for any reason other than she's so flippant about everything. My appointments now consist of random measuring (on Monday I went for a growth scan and measured 27cm. Today, suddenly I measure 31cm?? 2 days later and I'm above my growth chart!!!), am I breastfeeding and do I suffer domestic violence. I wish they'd change the record!! But then I am pregnant and easily irritated so there is a good chance I'm the one with the problem!

Had a nice day today and felt so much more awake and capable!! My mum took me shopping and we picked new carpets for our home which she has paid for because she's far far too bloody generous. She's paid for lunch, coffee, a baby rocker, nappies, bird lamp and scented drawer liners from Laura Ashley and then wants to get us a new wardrobe. I feel so bad and so grateful for having such an awesome mum!

Also picked up some baby bedding from Mothercare that I ordered online and I just don't like it! So I'm taking it back and starting again...

My partner has been ace this week too...so thoughtful and lovely!

So for now I'm in a good mood! Let's see how I am tomorrow when I'm back to 10hr shifts at god damn work!!!

Lol I was excited to go to Boots after midwife yesterday and buy some pads for inside bra. I bought a couple of different brands last time and had various free samples but I liked the Boots ones best (generous size).
Anyway got to the till and the lady said they're on 3 for 2. (in case anyone else is packing their bag)
I already have a pack of maternity towels from last time. Also will look for some old style sanitary towels (pad type) for the second/ third day, then just normal Always ultra will be fine til bleeding stops. For me last time, first day there was lots of blood but after 48 hours it was just like a heavy period, all finished within 7/8 days. I know some friends have bled for weeks but I can always send mum for more ;)
Need to buy some new nighties but not seen any maternity ones. Anyone seen any? I will try to look at those M&P ones someone spotted when I get a chance. Also got out two thin dressing gowns ready. Hospital is roasting but you need something to cover up when guests visit.
Bangton your Mum sounds very excited about her new grandchild- that's lovely, let her spoil you especially when baby arrives, cooked meals, cups of tea and time spent cuddling baby while you rest are the gifts you'll want from her when baby arrives , make sure she knows she's welcome to come and spend time with you all ;) My mum was worried she'd be intruding, but we were both agreed that she could spend ad much time as she wanted with us as she was a great help and supported us both.

Miffy - my MW seems to think that second, and subsequent baby's come very much quicker!

She said your cervix 'knows what it is doing' and opens much faster, so to be safe I should start heading off when contractions are about 20 mins apart as by the time I get to the hospital they could have increased to 5 mins apart!

    Hooray for big, comfy knickers!!!

I am FULL TERM today! :D:beer:

    37 weeks.
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
