I'd have either cried at her or slapped her. :rotfl: but I'm feeling in a "don't f*ck with me" mood today.
I moved house 6 weeks ago, have spent the last 6 weeks commuting 200 miles each week for 2 days of work whilst unpacking at new house, building flat place furniture, baby shopping, dog walking and catching up with anybody and everybody before the baby comes!! Never been as busy! Obviously I've had some lazy days too but didn't think I was doing too badly for 35 weeks pregnant!!0 -
Morning ladies.
Pfft to the MW who was complaining about your weight! I weighed 89kg at 6 weeks and 104kg this week at 38 weeks but I'm not worried about it - the weight will come off again; my MW wasn't concerned either. I lost over 4st before I fell pregnant following Slimming World so I will start back there a month after baby arrives. When I fell pregnant with DS I was 102kg!!
Anyway, I am resigning myself to the fact that despite all of my previous inklings and twinges, this baby will likely be late the same as it's brother & sister. It's a shame cos I am more than ready for an arrival now! I'm off to do a cross border raid for 25% off wine at Tesco this afternoon to get stocked up for when baby arrives and my 40th - both of which will occur within the next month... God I am looking forward to a very large glass of red wine!
Take care everyone.

I would have said that to her and watched her face drop. Or said something like "yeah but when baby's born I'll loose it straight away, you on the other hand....."and you're allowed to say that as you're "hormonal"

What an unpleasant thing to say noangel! Honestly nice midwives are like gold dust. I have met so many really narky ones, you wonder why they ever bothered and they'd be happier working in an abbitoir or something!
Just back from my mw appt (she is lovely thankfully). Baby measuring spot on for dates, excellent heartbeat and 3/5 engaged.
She doesn't think I am going to go another 3 weeks, and I should be ready from now for an early arrival

Lobey I have brought a mixture of used & new reusables - there was a deal on fluffheaven.co.uk for 10 little lamb OSFA for £35 (not sure if still on - but the company baba me has a 20% discount using GEORGE for royal baby until Sunday)
My used reusables were in really good condition & brought 2 different lots - 2 different style - i got 29 nappies for £50 (includes p&p)
WRT travel systems - we've gone for the babystyle oyster - but defo not near £200 - we were lucky that my mum & stepdad wanted to buy it!
Finally got our carpet fitted for beans room yesterday - looking good! Just waiting for FIL to box in the boiler & put up the rest of the wardrobes & then bring cotbed round & put that up - now got to look at finishing touches - already decided to go with Lollipop lane tiddlywink safari - PIL will buy the bedding - i will look on eBay for other bits & pieces - although i reckon i will have to get some different curtains as the window is huge
What are others doing with window dressings? Just curtains or blinds or ???
Been sick a few times recently with pain under my ribs - but pee is normal & BP is actually lower than the rest of pregnancy! It wasn't my usual gallstone pain so unsure what it was
Anyone else got gallstones during pregnancy?
5 weeks & 2 days left at work

I hope you told her that! If my midwife dared to say something like that to me at the minute she wouldn't know what had hit her :rotfl:
We have just moved last week (although only 26 weeks at the mo!) and have a toddler to run around after as well as working part time.
Everyone is entitled to their lazy days as well - whether you are pregnant or not.
Would someone be able to add me to the list please EDD 5th November, if I do it I am bound to mess it upBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

With DS we had blinds, but this time we will be having curtains. Simply because they were already in the house we have just moved in to, they are neutral so match all the bedding etc we have and they are in great condition (in fact they look brand new!) so very :money: of us!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
noangel, your midwife sounds a delight! I feel very lucky that mine is absolutely lovely after hearing some of the stories on here.
Finding it hard to get a good nights sleep just now, can't get comfy which wakes me up, then i realise i need to pee. Cycle continues throughout the night... Only 11 weeks or so of (even more) uncomfortable sleep to go!

Hehe, I'm not going to take it too personally, my 13kg weight gain doesn't seem too drastic, and I'd lost a lot of weight just before getting pregnant for my wedding and after having appendicitis a few weeks before getting pregnant too.
MV, how exciting that little one may arrive sooner than expected, hope all goes well over the next few weeks.
Off to go get some ice-cream and attempt to eat it whilst lounging on the sofa and not moving(just kidding)

Noangel - thats such a horrible thing for her to say! I have a midwife appointment tomorrow and need to tell her some of my worries, and I'm convinced she'll totally dismiss them as unimportant and I'll feel worried even after leaving. They seriously need a talking to!!
I've put on 2 stone 3lb? Whats that in kilos? Lol. I'm not worried in the slightest thoughIt'll go... Plus dd was 8lb1oz, so I'm not expectig a 5 pounder!
My worries are when i had dd, she was breach and had the cord under her feet, now i know the chances are slim or anything similar happening thos time, but it wasnt picked up on until i was 39 + 3, and had i gone into labour i would have needed an emergency c-section, which obviously i wouldnt have known if id have gone slightly early, and the chances are by the time i got to hospital things may not have been good. Sorry if u dont want me to post this....:-/. Anyway, like i said the chances of this are slim but had i not seen a different midwife the last week of my pregnacy god knows what would have happened. I really want to tell her i'm worried about it, and want them to somehow reassure me that it wont happen again! Ive even considered booking in for a section at 39 weeks so i know i'll be ok?Still here..... but working on that!0
