    Hi all,

Am also suffering from rock hard bump syndrome and think baby has moved from head down to lying painfully across. Not sure how I will get through another 7 weeks of work at this rate!

Found a really good deal on some reusable nappies on preloved, but I can't decide if second hand reusables is just going too far to be MSE... What do you guys think? Obviously they will have been washed hundreds of times but maybe I should be splashing out on new this once, especially as all being well we hope to have more than one bubba in the future!

Lola, because I have various pre-eclampsia type symptoms I think they're worried about visual disturbances which obviously wouldn't be ideal half way down the motorway!

I've finished up work now anyway so it's not too bad :)
  • I've ordered some nursing nighties from mamas & papas for my hospital bag, and comfort for my sore boobs now. There's free delivery for some reason - it may apply to all sale stuff. £10 for a pack of two or £8 for one in the sale. They've not arrived yet but I'll let you know how good they are. http://www.mamasandpapas.com/search/?query=nightie

    Morning all

    Nice bump pic MV :)

Lobey - I think second hand reusables would be fine surely they must be in good condition for someone to sell them on? Just ask to look at them before you take them if your not happy at that point just leave them.

Well a bit better sleep here ds2 was still up in the night so ended up in bed with us then at 4am I took him down cause he was kicking OH and tossing and turning he went back to sleep on settee til about 830 so can't complain really.

Keep getting little pains (Braxton hicks??) they only last maybe 5 seconds or so but they come and go quite close together then stop altogether, think OH was getting a little worried last night lol

Have a good day all xx

Well I spoke to OH last night about a home birth and what the midwife had said. His face was a picture. Was so funny. :rotfl: He said the mess didn't bother him (I thought it did) but just the thought of being the only person there to help me deliver. I guess we'll see though. Anything could happen I suppose :)

AAARRRGH!!! Finding a good travel system that around the £200 is impossible!!

    What's everyone going for?
We went for the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe. It was on offer in Toys R Us when we bought it, so got a good deal for £190 as it included foot muff, rain cover and carrycot.

I fell in love with the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe, but when i went to see it I just found it too heavy. In the end we went for the Chicco Today Travel System which comes in Grey or red. It's £199 on Amazon and a similar price on BHS direct, but Argos and Boots stock it and about every 8 weeks they reduce it to the same price.

I've obviously not had too much of a chance to try it out yet, but I love it. It is quite a lit lighter, has a carrycot, footmuff, raincover and changing bag.

Bangton - I think you can change the dates of your mat leave with 28days notice so if you're not leaving until the end of Sept there is time for you to put in a request to start them earlier. Hope you're feeling better today.

Okay I think I've found a bargain so I'm going to share, but please feel free to correct me if you know better Lily / PP :rotfl:

For those who are wanting to express - the Medela Swing is currently back in stock at boots.com with £30 off making it £99.99 - if you then add something else baby related to your basket (nappy bags are only 50p) then you can use code BABY20 to get an additional £20 off so you're getting it for £80. Cashback is also available through TCB/Quidco and if you've registered with Boots baby club then you should also get 10 advantage card points per £1.

I've not seen it cheaper, but I'm very happy to be corrected.

MV - That bump is gorgeous! I hope mine looks that neat

lobey - I think buying used reusables is probably fine, but agree that you should take the opportunity to have a good look at them before you buy if possible. My friend bought loads of used ones on eBay, and they were absolutely fine - they get washed so often and on such a high heat anyway.

    GL to all the boldies!

    Morning all.

Lovely pic MV, very neat bump.

Saw MW today, she weighed me and said I've put on too much weight :( Apparently average increase is 12kg, I weighed 61kg at start and now I'm 74. And baby has moved and is now back to back, she said this happens when people don't exercise enough and spend all day in front of the TV!! So obviously feeling great after that!!

Otherwise just feeling very tired, last day at work on Friday, cannot wait!!

    35+2 and exhausted!!

Have you been spending all day infront of the TV or is this just because you're pregnant? Some MW's really need to sort their personalities out before becoming a midwife!

I'd have either cried at her or slapped her. :rotfl: but I'm feeling in a "don't f*ck with me" mood today.
