Thanks claree - i'm sure dd wouldnt turn down a mcdonalds as a bargain, however its all her dad ever feeds her (she stays with him 2 nights a week) so i try to avoid it when she's with me! its a nightmare, but we wont get into that :) Lol. Hope your feeling ok, how many weeks are u now?

    34w

Oh dear - let's not go there indeed! I don't think my mum will be very pleased with the quality of my cooking over the last fortnight while she's been away. Normally I do cook from scratch but I've been so lazy (well, pregnant anyway!) it's been burgers or a pizza more often than a proper meal - oops! Pasta bake tonight though, that can't be that bad right? :D

36 weeks today so I'll be interested to see if anything changes next week or they still want to see how it goes.

Oh - and I mentioned I'm not allowed to drive anymore? I left my car at the doctors yesterday and got a taxi to the hospital, picked up the car last night and someone had hit it and left not as much as an apology nevermind insurance details. It's not a huge dent/scratch but I'll need to get it fixed anyway - better get off kiddicare :rotfl:

We went for the Graco Quattro Tour Deluxe. It was on offer in Toys R Us when we bought it, so got a good deal for £190 as it included foot muff, rain cover and carrycot. It's not for everyone though, for 3 main reasons:
    1) it is big and bulky - some reviews say it's heavy but I don't find it too bad. If space is limited either at home or in the car, it's prob not for you.
    2) No Isofix base available, wasn't an issue for us as the old car didn't have isofix anyway so we got the Graco base that fixes in with the seatbelt. (typically, we sold that car 2 weeks ago and the new one does have isofix, but I'm not changing travel system now!)
    3) Also, it's only parent facing while baby is in the carry cot, once they out grow that it's outward facing.

I think it's back to full price in Toys R Us, but Kiddicare stock it and it's also in Mothercare but called Trenton or something similar, and tend to be around the £200 mark - just watch what extras you'll have to pay for eg rain cover, foot muff.

Aww Claree how rubbish! I found a dent on my car probably weeks after it happened, I'm assuming in a car park as it certainly didn't happen when I was in the vehicle and was so mad when I spotted it!

We went to sort out changing my car to a bigger one at the weekend, so getting my Kia Venga on Thursday night, its got so much more room than my fiesta and Dh managed to get a good deal as he never pays what they say so I got cheaper monthly payments, free servicing for 3 years and half price car mats, sales man really had to work for his money - he even had to let me drive it home to see if I was happy getting it off our drive! (We live at the top of a shared access drive so have to navigate the side of someone's house, 2 cars, 2 fences and a low wall. It's actually easier in the venga than any car I've had before as I'm sitting a lot higher so can see better :)
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A

Yeah I bought a second hand one for my 2 DD's but after 5 years it's now falling apart so I thought it best to get a new one. I like the I love my bear one, but at £289 it's rather expensive!

Jeez, I'm glad we bought it when we did - was just checking Mothercare and their version is back up to £280 as well (though they are offering 15% off at the moment). Kiddisave have it for £200, but no extras. I'm sure Toys R Us have had it reduced a few times, so if your happy to wait a wee while longer to see, I'd do that!
  • Been to the midwife today I'm anemic :( now im on iron tablets and the constipation will only get worse. Would help lots if i could drink fruit juice without being sick. Baby beans heart rate is fine and hes wiggling lots. Head down too :)

Sometimes i like to imagine that im living on the breadline as a single mum with 3 children to feed and clothe, bills to pay and very little time to myself........ then i wake up and realise im a princess with prince charming by my side and a lovely white castle........ oh wait
  • We went for the mothercare trenton deluxe way back in April and locked in at the price of £195. It's now back up to £280.

We had to pay £20 deposit and then were going to pay a bit off each month. However my parents wanted to buy us the pram so told us not to pay anymore towards it.

Well I've had a much better day today than yesterday, caught up with my friend and met her little 7 week old girl. Not too sure I needed to know soooo much information about her c-section though, lol.

Been trying to tell myself that no matter what labour I have, it will be worth it to be a mum.

    Hope everyone is well. x

Try floradix - liquid iron tonic, no constipation. My GP said it's as good as the tablets.

I have a Bugaboo Chameleon, which in retrospect I may have not gone for as it is a bit big and cumbersome for the city. It is a nice travel system though, but hellishly expensive.

So finished up work today and was totally overwhelmed by all the presents I got! I honestly wasn't expecting anything and got loads of stuff for the baby, Clarins bath stuff for me and flowers..and lunch! I felt quite emotional.

Got home to find another gift on my doorstep from my NCT girls from last time - a pregnancy massage at a gorgeous spa near me! So chuffed! :D

I shall make use of that next week when OH's parents come down to help with DS for a few days.

Lucifer - I concur with ang - Floradix tonic is a really good iron supplement.
