Morning all - so after my lovely excited to be going shopping post yesterday, I ended up in the hospital - AGAIN. 4 hours later I was allowed home but I'm not allowed to drive anymore (boo!) and I have another appointment on Thursday. Who knew that having most of the symptoms of pre-eclampsia doesn't mean you actually have pre-eclampsia?
Don't get me wrong, I don't WANT to have it but at least it'd be an answer if I did!

Thanks all. Have spoken to DH and we've decided to ask his Dad to look after them from Saturday til whenever baby arrives - they live a couple of hours away but DH will drive the dogs over (unless FIL is very kind and offers to collect them!) and then when FIL and his OH bring them back they'll be able to see the little one too.
It's such a tricky time of year to get pet sitters etc because most are busy due to school holidays, and although we have friends who would be happy to pop in, there's no one really within a 30 min drive, and asking them to do it multiple times is a bit much really. My family are overseas, so that's also very difficult, and I think I'd rather they wait and come over when the baby has (hopefully) safely arrived than have them over beforehand.
Having said that I'm still hoping that we can go with plan A and that I will spontaneously labour between now and Sunday morning! However it's really good to hear other people's stories about shortish, manageable labours following induction - very comforting to know not everyone has a nightmare time!

@trina we were meant to move a month ago but the purchase of our house was delayed. Would rather not be doing it now but the other option is rent plus mortgage so not exactly :money: and as I have started my mat leave my salary has decreased so we are trying to get everything done. Thankfully we have some very nice friends who are assisting:) I am just hoping to be in before the baby comes at this point!
@noangel but hugs for the insensitive comment from your friend, some people don't think before the say anything!
@ MV enjoy your last day at work
@clare hugs for having to spend 4 hours in hospital, it is hard when you don't know what is causing the problem, hope things resolve for you soon.
AFM busy with house stuff, I need to go collect our travel system and get the car seat fitted. MIL wants me to meet her for coffee and go buy stuff for the baby but with all the house stuff I really just can't face it and I don't have the energy!!
Hope all are well, labour vibes to those who need it0 -
Well after trying the car seat in both cars last night we have decided to take the ISOFIX base back to Argos today. If we decide we need it we can always get it again, but for the moment that's £40 to put towards something else.
Last 4 days in work for me and then 3 weeks holiday before my mat leave kicks in. I can't wait. I'm pretty sure I won't be bored until I go overdue as I have loads of jobs saved up.
Not sleeping well here. Last night I was awake every 40 minutes and rolling over is now a mammoth task.
Congratulations to the two new arrivals and hope the overdue babies make an appearance soon!

I took DS (22 months) and it was a big mistake as she was running late and he got really fed up and impatient!
But at 8 years old im sure your DD will be a lot more tolerant. I dont see why there should be any problem on their part for you taking her.Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hey all, interesting time here at our house. My Pug has a lady friend over but does he know what to do? Does he heck... Stupid animals.
I went to the midwife today. Everythings all looking good. Had my bloods taken, didn't seem to phased that I said no to whooping cough and booked an appointment for 34 weeks. I love having had children before as you don't get as many appointments. lol.
She did mention about leaving a birthing pack at our house just in case it's a quick birth. Not looking forward to telling OH that later tonight as he's a. dead against a home birth and b. going to freak "delivering the baby alone" even though he might not have to but we all know how men can be:rotfl:

Aw bless your little pug nene
28 weeks now - feel officially pregnant and not just fat lol! Looking forward to going cotbed shopping soon with the in-laws and painting and decorating the spare rooms with OH. Gonna be a busy few weekends coming up!
Got my gtt on weds - really hoping for a good result. Got my ipod charged and a good book to read for the 2 hours in the waiting room lol!
Just had a call from my cousin who's baby is turning 1 next month offering me loads of second hand stuff - a bouncy chair, baby bath, books, breastpump (she didn't get on with it so it's basically brand new) etc. Yay:money:0 -
Congrats on the new babies
I've taken at least one of my kids sometimes both to all my appointments midwife/consultant/scans and they were fine
Poor Clare in hospital againjust think it'll all be worth it in the end
Well I'm feeling a little better than I did in the middle of the night, ds2 got up at 5 and is now having a nap so at least I can have a bit of peace and quiet, can't go to sleep though cause I'm waiting for OHs new phone to be delivered, hope it comes soon need to get out for a bit xx***** on the road to debt freedom *****
