    Congratulations to the new Mums!!

I was induced with DS - had to be in for 8am and DH could stay with me all of the time. Had the wee fella just after 8pm and was out by 10am the next day.

As for this pregnancy, I'm Still having pains but not coming to anything - wish baby would make an appearance soon!

    Congratulations to the new mummies!

Just dropping back in to catch up and see how everyone is doing, I can't believe that baby Henry is over 2 weeks old now, it has been amazing but also hard work with him having colic and being really unsettled in the evenings but other than that we are both doing well.

I ended up needing a blood transfusion due to severe blood loss and also had stitches and an infection so I haven't been feeling the best myself but my OH has been fantastic.

Anyway, good luck to those of you about to pop!

    X

    Congrats Anderson!

WRT cars, we've got a three door, I often have to transport babies and kids and getting the seats in and out is fine. If anything, I prefer a 3 door as it means they can't escape!

At our local hospital the dad can be there as long as he likes. Only rule is they stay off the bed. We had a dog when I had DS so DH would come for a few hours at a time and my mum took dog out for a few walks too. During labour (had to really think to remember what we did here lol) I got DH to ring his brother who also had a key and our dog knew well to go to our house and let dog out for a bit in the evening. Then DH went home next morning when DS was born to let dog out and have a sleep. This time we've got no dog but DS to arrange care for. Would really like both mum and DH at birth again (unless it ends up being planned section as then only DH allowed in anyway) so will have to ask around the family. Of course they will allow DS to visit me (unlike the dog lol) but how long he'll cope in a little room where he has to share mummy for the first time who knows. I am planning to pack a bag for him with some toys and books- some as presents from his baby brother. Got some bits from his birthday which were put away cos he had too much. Also car boot sales will help

  • Snap on the being bored part and I'm only on 6 weeks holidays, lol.

Mines been a bit more of having too much time to think about things really, so been focusing on the fact that I've been at home on my own all day today and then the knowing of I can't just go and visit my family (I'm from Australia). Having the TV on or radio didn't help, I ended up having silence and doing cleaning, kept wanting to find something else to do but gave in thinking well it has to be done so might as well.

Got a bit teary if I thought about being so far away from everyone too much. Doesn't help that my parents & sister were visiting these summer holidays but they didn't want to visit before I had the baby so have put it off until beginning of next year.

Think it was just one of those days as once hubby was home and we'd had tea I got dressed (don't think that helped being in pjs all day, sometimes that just makes you feel worse) and he took some pictures of me being 32 weeks today.

I looked awful with no make up on, so yep just for a photo I put make up on, hahaha. But it instantly made me feel better, we then took the dog for a nice long walk, bit slower pace that I'm used too but have no choice having to walk slower now as I can get uncomfortable quite quickly.

Catching up with a friend tomorrow and meeting her 7 week old little girl for the 1st time, so at least tomorrow should be a better day.

  • Oscar - induction can sometimes be rather quick too! I got a propess at 10:45am and little man was here by 15:05 the same day. Once they know they're gonna be evicted then sometimes they do just decide to get on with it!! :) Anyhoo you've got a few days before any of that may happen so fingers crossed!!

Me, well I've hit a lovely hormonal patch and I'm crying at everything, will be nice to have the small person here, I'm totally ready now!!

Congratulations to all the new mams, hope you're enjoying those squishes x

What are views on whether a cot is better drop sided or not?

I like this cot & drawers, but not sure if bending in will be annoying?

We haven't got a drop side, but the cotbed has 3 levels so they've just been dropped as and when needed. When we had to lower it to the lowest level he was already pulling himself up so makes lifting a lot easier (although not at the minute, what with being a whale and all that!!;) ) Saying that he always goes in there awake, couldn't imagine trying to get him in asleep without a freefall final few inches haha :rotfl:
