The only person I know who's been induced spent 60 hours in hospital before having an emergency section, so I guess I'm trying to plan for the worst, but hope for the best IYSWIM. I wouldn't want to go through that without DH, so we do need to think of an alternative...0 -
Sorry if I seemed abit short just wasn't sure how else to word it!
I guess I didn't see bigger picture as I was in and out in less then 12 hours but was a normal labourPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Hey everyone
Congrats to Sam and Anderson, nice big babies for you hope you're settling in well. I can't believe I'm no 5 on the list now! It's getting scarily close but I just want her out now haha
I've been on maternity leave since Wednesday and already I'm bored. What do u all do to fill your time? I can't really go far on my own, especially as its been so hot, so I kind of feel like a prisoner in my own home whilst dh is at work! I guess I'm just not used to all this time to myself lol
Been having some period type backaches in the evenings and very strong braxton hicks the last couple of nights so hopefully I won't have too long to wait, I always think ooohh hopefully this is it but I go to bed and the next morning the pains are gone so I'm not sure what's going on. I know she's fully engaged so have been bouncing on my ball but is there anything else I can do to encourage these pains to turn into labour?
Hope everyone else is well
Baleb

Oscar, could you try calling up some babysitters in the area and see if they would walk your dog in the morning and evening for you? You never know, they might be dog people.Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I am bored too baleb. I have been off over a month now, and only just started to get bored though (think this is because I am trying not to fill my time by going shopping).
I've bought some box sets off amazon to watch.
I also have a 2 year old who keeps me busy (but trying to stop him being bored, rather than myself becomes the problem)0 -

Boots have it for £86, also bought car seat adaptor for the buggy we have at £30. £22 off this weekend if you spend over £100 on baby stuff, code for 10% off over £60 (JULY60 if anyones interested), 6% quidco and £11.50 of boots points as a member of baby club
ended up paying £84 for both, so chuffed!

Thanks for the tip (although I forgot the july 60 code, never mind) just got the easi peasi in splash. I had one of these for my son and still use it but after 2 years the stuffing is coming out of the fabric on the top. I think they come with a 4 year guarantee but you have to register it when you get it, we didn't, so can't use the guarantee. Also got some muslin squares and a swaddle robe - which lowered the price from £86 to £83 so it was like getting them for free really. Loads of the boots stuff which was supposed to be in this offer didn't seem to work when I added to basket, loads of stuff was sold out too, but I can't complain I love a freebie.0 -

Partners and children are allowed to stay 8am-8pm at my hopsital. The hours were 8am-10pm in the hospital I had DS in!
Thats on the post-natal ward. If you are waiting on an antenatal ward to be induced, Partners can also stay 8-8 and labour ward is, obviously, 24 hours. No children there though14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Hello again. My due date is the 27th Oct, so it is all starting to become real
Currently I am a bit stressed about our car that we will definitely have to have for the first 3/4 months at least. We only have a 3 door Yaris and hope to be able to buy a 5 door soon-ish, but everyone (well mainly in-laws) keeps telling me how awful it is to get a car seat in/ out with a 3 door. Is it really that bad? We don't actually have an option at the moment anyway so it's a bit of a moot point but it has got me a bit panicked!
As we should be moving house when I should be 34 weeks-ish I am trying to get super organised. I think nesting is starting to kick in but I have nowhere to nest at the moment!0 -

Hubby won't be able to stay with you for the whole Induction though, he'll only be allowed in during visiting hours unless your birth is progressing and they move you to labour ward. If it's not progressing, he'll be sent home until something happens. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
