    Congrats Anderson and Sam

Hope everyone is well, I have finished work pretty much just a few bits to finish up from home over the next day or so

Feeling pretty relieved tbh, we are trying to get our new house ready to move into so I haven't been in line in a while. Still a lot to do but hoping to move next weekend all going well!

    Congratulations Sam and Anderson!!

We had a quick drink with some friends at the weekend and someone made a comment that my kids will be scared of me because of the way I speak to people (DH I suppose) and that they'll end up doing anything I ask as they'll be terrified of me. Nice. Tbh a lot of whatis said with DH in front of others is both of us joking around. I'm really stung by the comment, I really love children, I work with them and they're certainly not scared of me. I felt really uncomfortable and it doesn't feel like the sort of comment a friend would say to someone heavily pregnant!

    Big congrats Anderson!

Into my last 2 days at work now and I am SO BORED.

My maternity cover has basically taken over most of my work now, and it's pretty quiet today anyway. Think sitting here till 4pm and then tomorrow is going to be somewhat painful!

  • Big congrats to Anderson8! Sadly my sweep didn't work (MW couldn't reach my cervix - I've also tried and I couldn't reach it either!!) and baby's head is only 4/5 engaged so I'm booked for an induction on Sunday. Trying to stay positive but feeling pretty fragile still - sleep is very hard to come by as I'm in a lot of hip, pelvis and back pain now, and of course there's always the possibility they'll have to delay the induction for a couple of days - and it's unlikely I'll get the water birth I'd hoped for.

I also have to work out what to do with the real Oscar and our other dog as the MW said that in my area they tend to keep you in for a few days after an induction: we had a few people lined up who could have them for a day, but asking them to have them for what might end up being a week or more (especially those who work or who have their own plans) is a bit trickier. Have asked DH to solve that dilemma!

That's a !!!!!! thing for someone to say - sorry you had to her that from a friend :(

Feeling a good bit better than on Friday. OH brought me home a fan - which is my new best friend - and I've managed to sleep through 'till nearly 11 yesterday and today! I could have slept longer yesterday but I'd told OH at 7am when I woke up that I was hungry so he didn't want me to miss out on lunch, bless him :rotfl:

Got my re-arranged MW appointment today (as there was no use in being in twice last week) and I'm really concerned they're gonna wanna take me in again 'cause I've had a headache since Tuesday and it doesn't seem to be shifting. Swelling is about a million times better than it was though so fingers crossed BP will be okay as well and I'll just be told to rest. Dropping foster brother with my inlaws today so I don't have to drag him with me - and then I'm going to do some shopping :j

OH & I built the baby furniture at the weekend (SO cute!) so I want to get a few bits for her nursary and a few bits for our bedroom...I'm actually really excited about being let out on my own for a few hours - I'll post pics when the nursary is done :D

Am I missing something here? Whats wrong with DH looking after them I belive he is only allowed in during visiting hours after baby is born anyway so you'd only be looking at labour + abit time after.
People don't know what they want until you show them.
