GTT - nothing but water after 10.00pm tonight. My test was in the morning. I got a leaflet about the test put in my maternity notes.0

Hmm, it definitely says on the leaflet fast for1 hour before lucozade, doesn't say overnight, and midwife has written 'breakfast' on the leaflet. Wish I was paying more attention at my last app 12 weeks ago!0

Feeling sorry for myself today, bump has been sore most of the day, I'm guessing winegum has grown a lot the last few days and I'm just feeling the effects.
And after months of everyone at work commenting how huge my bump is (even though its not!), I was then told today I'm waddling already (fair enough I know I am a bit I'm not uncomfortable ATM), and that's far to early to be waddling (I'm 25+3). Well if I'm as ginormous as you reckon it's a wonder I can move at all! Good job I've been by myself since 5pm else I think I'd take my bad mood out on everyoneAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Wow re the glucose test. I had to fast from 8:30 pm the night before and was only allowed plain water to drink. I made sure I had tea at like 7 pm and then enjoyed a cuppa and some biscuits as near to 8:30 pm as possible, lol.
I had my bloods taken at 8:30 am the following morning, then was given my lucozade to drink within 10 mins and then had to sit for 2 hours before having my bloods taken again.
So was finally able to eat something at like 10:45 am.
I got the all clear, had a result of 4.4 but only found out the result at my midwife appt like 5 days later as the hospital told me that if no one rang me within 48 hours it would mean I was okay. However my midwife rang as she wanted to know the actual reading.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -

OK Kiddicare - you snooze, you lose! Still waiting for the 10% off voucher (£325 at Kiddicare) & found it here for £257 (includes named day delivery & I signed up to a Which trial to save £15). Was prepared to pay a little more to have it from somewhere it was easy to take back to if any problems - but decided to risk it with this place. Should be with me on Thursday.
I am going near the place on Sunday so I'll open it & check all OK so I can take it back quickly if any problems. The showroom is only a mile away from the Mamas & Papas factory shop so think we'll call there as well.0 -
Thanks for the info guys, still not really sure what to do but the blood test defo comes after the lucozade as I'm supposed to have that at home. Might just see how hungry I am tomorrow morning as I have low blood sugar at the best of times and going without food will make me pretty faint!0

You must be having a different type of test to me & CD.
We had bloods taken, then the drink, then wait 2 hours (in the hospital), then bloods taken again.
You only seem to be having 1 set of bloods?0 -
Re: GTT, my test was the same at ttc40 & continual diamond. Nothing but water from 8:30pm, bloods 8:40am, GTT drink then bloods 2hrs later.
Anyone else panicking a bit? We have 2 girls (16 & 9yrs) and I am the Fest of 4 girls. We're having a boy this time. I already feel like we're starting again for the third time as took 7yrs to conceive this one but now I'm panicking on how I wash him etc. told midwife and she laughed but I'm serious! I know you point it down but that's about it.

I'm the opposite. I have a little boy already and am thinking how different a little girl's bits are going to be (although I keep reminding myself they're nothing I haven't got myself so should know what to do!)
Have a rare and blissful day to myself today. Taken the day off work and OH about to take DS to the childminder. I intend to do precisely b*gger all today..wonderful!
