  • Thanks everyone for the clothes advice, looks like I'm going on a wee shopping spree again!

Another lovely hot day here, though I can't be bothered doing much. Had a busy weekend visiting the in-laws, thankfully won't be back there before baby arrives. MIL is lovely, but drives me insane! I got some strange looks because I plan to breastfeed and because I'm considering a water birth. DH got a lecture because he's not going to antenatal classes with me (he would if he could but his shifts change every week). I know she means well but it doesn't stop her grating on me!

Re not being hungry, I wish!! I've done nothing but stuff my face for the past three days, and I get grumpy and feel awful if I don't eat! I need to go get some healthy snacks in, as all we have just now is crisps and chocolate.

Apart from that, been keeping ok. I think I had a few braxton hicks over the weekend, but having never been pregnant before, I don't really know what they feel like!
  • No news here - just trying to keep on top of the housework and pottering around. Lucky Kate to be going into labour - originally we had the same due date but at our scan they decided I was a week behind, so I'm feeling a tad jealous of her. I'm not in pain, but feel a bit uncomfortable and am officially bored of being at home with very little to do, and with the incessant calls/texts/FB messages asking if there's any progress...

I keep telling the girls that the baby is coming this week but I don't think its actually sunk in for me yet! I know he needs to come out and I really want him to come out but the thought of going back to a new baby is scaring the life out of me. DH said its too late for me to change my mind now and he's coming whether I want him to or not.

I think that's my biggest worry now. Both DD's can pretty much look after themselves, sleep through the night, entertain themselves and now I'm about to do it all again! What have we let ourselves in for :rotfl:

I'm into my last few work days too. Meant to be finishing up next Weds (I work Monday-Weds), but as I have 2 days of holiday still to take, I decided to take this Weds and next Weds off, so only 3 more days after today. Sitting at a desk all day is now getting really tedious. The base of my spine aches, and I'm feeling really exhausted.

I'm having to do a handover with my replacement, which is a ball ache too as it means I can't just get on with my work as my manager wants me to sit with her and let her get on with it..everything is taking ages, and she's a bit of a gobby pain so the sooner I'm outta here, the better!

Into the final stretch though, although remembering the first few weeks of life with a newborn, I'm trying not to wish the time away too much!

See, mine are 10 and 7!!! I'm long past the sleepless nights and dirty nappies stage, but I keep being told that they're going to be so much help for me (I'm not holding my breath!)

    Afternoon all :)

BF I won't be attempting I tried with first baby didnt work out I had no milk and he lost so much weight, don't think I'd have stuck to it anyway it really isn't for me, I wouldn't feel comfortable in feeding in front of people that is my opinion and my choice midwives have been fine with that whe. I said its not for me end of story :)

So hot and bothered and in pain, also bumped the side of my belly on the stair gate, it's bruised, grazed and sore :( xx

TTC - No, that is the cheapest price it has ever been on Amazon as far as I'm aware. I've also never seen Mothercare pricematch on their website, meaning other discounts can be applied. Usual price is around £100, but Amazon sometimes hovering around £90 for 1 or 2 colours.

I got one from Halfords a couple of years ago for £80 odd - may be worth checking them out now and then. Luckily it's still in decent nick so I don't need to buy another one this time.

    Hi all!

Had a couple of rest days(ish) since my night in hospital seems to have made OH realise I am actually quite pregnant and do need looking after :rotfl: Still a little concerned about my blood pressure and stuff - it's a bit scary to realise they can tell me my blood pressure is high but I don't feel any different, so how do I know if something is wrong? I'm getting checked out tomorrow anyway but it just nags me sometimes.

Had our "labour" antinatal class this morning, what a gigantic waste of time that was! I sat through the whole thing (hour long) with what were either Braxton Hicks or just generally horrible cramps - did think of the irony of going into labour during a class about labour, thankfully it didn't happen!

Must be honest, so glad it's not happening today, imagine having the same birthday as the "Royal Baby"? I'm not big on the royals to say the least, so it's definitely something I could do without :D

With regards to eating - I don't want meals anymore. I'm happy to pick and stuff but I can't face a full meal.
