Didn't buy the Maxi Cosi cabriofix seat on Friday as I was waiting to choose a travel system. Now I want one they are not available at Mothercare or Amazon at the sub £70 price they were. :(

Has anyone been monitoring prices? Have they been available before around that price? With 3 months to go I don't need to rush - and if I did need it sooner OH can just go & buy.

TTC - No, that is the cheapest price it has ever been on Amazon as far as I'm aware. I've also never seen Mothercare pricematch on their website, meaning other discounts can be applied. Usual price is around £100, but Amazon sometimes hovering around £90 for 1 or 2 colours.

27 Weeks today. Time is going by soooo quickly. :(

I've decided on the new cotbed mattress that Bubs will be getting and also the Pushchair. Plus the DD's bunkbeds are all decided :) ...now I just need to wait for MA to start before I can buy things.

Morning all - I had pains a lot yesterday and was convinced I was away but harumph, no I'm still here. Had a thick show last night too, not blood stained though so I think I was getting excited about nowt!

I've just been watching the news and see that Kate has gone into labour though and I am ridiculously weepy - WHY??? Mind you, the MSE-er in me wants the free coin that's going to be given to every baby born the same day as the royal addition :rotfl:

My poofy feet have barely gone down overnight .. I went to bed last night because they were so swollen I couldn't think straight with the pain..

I have 5 more squares of my blanket to knit so I am hoping to do those today :D

OH still in bed but I am up.. dealt with several poops.. none were mine.. and dropped a toddler off my lap while changing a nappy.. actually I was scrubbing poo off her foot and she squirmed and fell off.. good job I had hold of her leg tightly!! I have about 4 inches of lap.. not quite enough to change a nappy on.. but I can't reach the floor.. it is too low! lol..

LOADS of vacuuming in the cards today.. ALL the house that has visible carpet is getting sucked!

Morning all. Penultimate day at work woo hoo!

Kept getting really bad braxton hicks last night that kept waking me up. So annoying.

In terms of clothes, we have about 15 vests and sleepsuits in newborn and about the same in 0-3 months to start with. Along with socks hats etc. most of them we got on offer or clearance though so we thought for the sake of a few pounds its better to be safe than sorry. If we don't use them all I won't be too upset.

I'm so hot today, come on rain I really don't want to be in labour in this heat!

    Hope everyone's well

Wow, how did I get to 15th on the list and what happened to the massive gap until the next people on the list were due? That's now tomorrow.

I've woken up with swolen ankles this morning too. I struggled to get my flip flops on. I don't know what i'm going to wear on my feet to work tomorrow when we are forcast rain. Any ideas?

Our nursery furniture arrived on Saturday so we had a fun weekend building that. I also got all my washing done. I hope to put the curtains up tonight (which my lovely friend has sewn blackout lining into) and put the bedding on the cot (which my lovely Mum has washed and ironed for me). I will post a picture tomorrow if I can work out how.

Only two weeks left in work for me. I honestly don't know how i'm going to get everything done. I keep getting called to meetings to discuss handover for various things when i'm away, but this keeps putting me back further.

My OH is being brilliant around the house, fetching and carrying for me when i can't roll off the sofa and cooking me tea every night. But I think he does struggle to understand how sore and uncomfortable i'm feeling. He doesn't really understand how even my fingers can be aching and how the back of my ribs are agony down one side as bubs is still lying diagonally and i'm having to pull against the weight dragging me diagonally forwards so I don't topple over!!

As for bedding/clothing we are going to use a moses basket and try a grobag swaddle for the first few weeks. I have a couple of cellular blankets too on standby and for the pram/daytime etc. We will then try a thin sleeping bag once it moves into the cot (maybe 8-10 weeks ish?)

My small clothing list is as follows:

    6 x vests
    7 x longsleeved vests
    5 x babygrows/sleepsuits
4 x daytime outfits (white dungarees and vest, babygrow, trousers and tops)
    Socks
    Hats
    Mittens

Also i have some muslin squares and a couple of bibs. I am banking on getting clothes off people when the baby is born. If not I will have to take my Mum and her credit card on a shopping spree!! lol.

Oh Baleb, I cannot believe you are still in work! I've finished my 4 weeks annual leave and ML officially starts today but I don't think I could have coped in work with that heat (air con and hospital wards do not mix!) Enjoy your last day!

KandFsmam - I'll admit Kate was called a few names in my house this morning! I'm definitely at the stage where I develop an irrational hatred for people delivering before me. I found out I was pregnant on the day Kate's pregnancy was announced so I know she is further along than I am but rationality has gone out the window. With my youngest I wept because a giraffe in the local zoo gave birth before me!!! Stupid hormones!

Ah well, 3 more sleeps until induction! 38 weeks today.

Oh girlzmum not long for you now! I'm so jealous lol.

I also found out I was pregnant on the day hers was announced but her going into labour just made me realise how scarily close I am to the end now!

I'm pretty sure it still hasn't sunk in that an actual baby is going to come out of me. It still feels like planning for a distant dream that deep down you think will never actually happen you know? Anyone else feel like that?

I'm sure I will be hit with the reality soon enough lol :-D
