Amount claimed £3900
Amount refunded £2700
I first wrote in March 07, used money claim online, Nationwide acknowledge then put in a defence. I recieved a copy of the defence last week, then this morning a letter saying they had put £2700 in my account, I phoned them and told them this was not enough, they informed me I had miscalculated, I checked, they were right. Full refund plus interest and all charges. Thank you Martin.0 -

Abbey

spoke to a lovely guy there his first sentence was " I know you'll win hands down in court but we'd like to settle out of court "
Still got two accounts with Halifax total £6000 plus 2 accounts with Capital one £1250 they are being really stubborn so I think its down the court road for them.
Once again thanks for the help and information could'nt have done it without this site.

I hit Barclays for £780 (that was including interest.....without it was £600) They offered £555 after i sent 2 letters and gave them till june 13th like they asked. I sent the acceptance letter yesterday and the amount is showing as "uncleared funds" in the account already.
I was already to go to court too !!!!! Can i take them to court for cheating me out of my chance to take them to court???0 -
Thanks Martin for all the invaluable advice on this fantastic web site.
I had 14 days to go on my claim via MCOL against the Halifax after they had acknowledged. On checking my bank account yesterday I found the full amount refunded including the court costs, in fact it was £2.60 more than it should have been - £626.60 better off - YIPPEE X0 -

Contacted bank on behalf of husband(fool-he said i get to keep whatever i get, ha!) in April, received the usual letters back, sent the application to court. Had the letter to say they were defending it, which to be honest after someone else had lost then started to look scary. But yeah, had a letter today offering £2071 to settle.:T So one happy wife as i get to keep it all. Thanks Martin:money: :j0
