Bank:alliance and leicester
Amount claimed:£745.81
Amount received: £745.81
I started the court thing with alliance and Leicester on 10th may 2207, now have court date for August 17th, but went to court on 26th July 2007 to enter a judgement, because they haven't filed their papers within the 21 days require. So hopefully that means we win by default. A & L are pretty quick at doing paper work, up until now!
Well I got Judgement even though it was after the Stay of the test case, called wraggle and Co this week and they said the money should be in the account in next 7 days.....I got the full amount £745.81, which included £617 in charges, interest and court fee......Reclaimed thanks to this site: £2596.71

Bank: Abbey
Amount Claimed: £2,440
Amount Received: £1,225
From the very first letter requesting statements sent on 3rd May, I received payments into my account on 30th July totalling £1,225 and received a letter from Abbey the next day informing me of their offer. I then faxed them a letter back stating that although I had received their offer/payment, I still felt that this amount was not enough and requested a further £600 (obviously 'WITHOUT PREJUDICE'). 3 days later I received the standard letter which was sent out to all current claimants regarding the test case and that this would now be on hold pending the outcome of that. OK I have half of the amount back but still feel they are taking liberties so will hold out for at least the extra £600 now.
Thanks to all at this site for their encouraging stories and advice. I would never have done it without you.
Also - I have now signed the No 10 petition0 -
Bank: LLoydsTSB
Amount Reclaimed: originally asked for £450
Amount they paid: £623
The story: Sent off both of Martins templates asking for £450 of bank charges to be refunded and received the obvious replies as per everyone elses stories on here. Went to MCOL and the bank acknowledged the claim. I was waiting for them to defend as I received a letter from their solicitors saying they would defend and I was'nt getting a penny (this was on a Friday). This was also after the announcement that the test case was going ahead and all claims were going to be suspended pending the outcome of the test case. I had thought that I was not going to get anything but then on Tuesday the following week I had an offer of £623 (interest, MCOL charge). Signed the enclosed papers and got paid today (3 weeks after returning the paperwork).
Martin, thanks very much !0 -
Yes I won:beer: :j :T :rotfl:
I was due in Court this Monday 20th against Clydesdale Financial Services for the sum including costs and interest of 610.62- the solicitor rang and offered full settlement today
On the same day I was claiming against First national tricity finance, for the sum of 420.00 including costs and interest- they rang and settled yesterday( after I origionally refused their first offer of settlement without interest on Monday)
so in 14 days I will be better off to the sum of 1030.62.
Thank you so much martin. (by the way Bradford and Bingley are also refunding a meaf payment in the next coule of weeks.

Another success story.
Bank; Lloyds TSB
Amount claimed: £850
Amount won: £750
Started process in April. Received a letter in May saying they are looking into it and would respond shortly. Another letter from Lloyds 4 weeks later saying they are still investigating. Heard nothing for a month so I sent a letter in July asking what is happening and a week or so later, I received an offer of £750 which I accepted and was transferred into my account 10 days later.
Easiest £750 I ever "earned"
Thanks to moneysavingexpert.com! Couldn't (or wouldn't) have done it without you! Pls keep up the excellent work!

Bank: MBNA
Amount requested: £703
Amount paid: £703
I represented my wife whose credit card this was and who continually paid late over the years, bless her! When I got the list of fees from the bank it added up to £494 in charges over the last 6 years, plus £129 in interest. MBNA offered £210 which I refused. I wrote, saying I would accept £494 rather than going to court, but would seek the full amount, including interest and fees if it did get to court. No response fom the bank so I went through MoneyClaim Online and started legal proceedings which cost another £80. 2 weeks later MBNA offered, very nicely it must be said, to pay the full amount.
Thankyou so much, this was a really great result. Follow Martin's advice and stick to your guns!0
