:TMrO Have a good holiday. It's hard to avoid oil when eating out. I try to avoid bread (otherwise I can't stop) and tell myself that the oil can count as a HEX.
I'd just go and enjoy yourself. Try to make sensible choices whenever possible and then get straight back on the wagon when you get back.
I've had a really good SW day so far:
B: HEB Shreddies and strawberries, HEA milk and NAS Ribena
L: ham and egg salad with new potatoes
We're out for a meal this evening. There's a pretty varied menu so I'll wait to see what I fancy. tie, I save most of my syns for the weekend so I can relax a bit but I'm more likely to go off plan just for one meal than for the whole day. Generally it's supper unless we go out for lunch.0 -
Hi folks, please can I re-join you? I just got fed up with it all and became totally confused about what I was doing. Anyway, I have just signed up to SW online and with your help hope to re-inspire myself! Was a little disappointed that they have no online food tracker, just have to download and print out good old-fashioned diary sheets. I've been using MyFitnessPal recently, and kind of though SW online would be like that. Hope I don't regret spending my money, but I really need all the help I can get right now.0

I always think our saving grace in the main is that we dont have a lot to loose to get to where we need to be TIE if you see what I mean?
The success for me is more of less staying within my target range.I would like to be nearer the bottom but hey ho.
When I did Sc Slimmers a few years ago & got to target loosing a similar amount I put it all back on very quickly.
This time I have been at target a year this month, helped by being on the social team & having made that commitment to go each week.
This is kind of my issue here too, although I'm not at target
At 13st I more than happy, in fact I'm happy at 13st 7lb. At that weight I'm a curvy size 12 and I've often said I could cope with just staying that weight. In the last year I've hopped up to 14st 7lb and down again to 13st 7lb continually.
What I need to do is actually get to my target weight (10st 12lb) and then hop about abit up and down. In the past I have lost loads, then put loads straight back on. This time I have managed to stay at the bottom end of 'Fat' for quite a while. I have managed to reign myself in before I get too bad again. I've managed to go for weeks on plan and then go a bit mad for a while, but then control myself again.
Last year when my friends came down, they said I looked great at 13st 7lb and should have been happy to stay there. They said I didn't look anything like 13stThey said who cares what 'The Book' says? As I said, I was happy at 13st, but as a 5ft 5in high Frog, in reality I was 3 st overweight
I always wish I was 13st when I'm chubbier, but when I get there, I want to lose moreI'm never happy
I just need to have a clear run of being good and getting to a sensible weight, and then I can have the odd weekend, or friends visit, where I can have goodies and enjoy them. Menu for the day to follow...

Hi all
I have realised that I have put weight on, only due to getting my summer clothes out and none of them fitting
After this, I got on the scale and have somehow managed to sneak 1.5stone on - since knowing this, I look at myself now and think how disgusting I look!
Anyway, I have never done slimming world, but my mum has given me some of her books and told me to try it to see if i like it before I enrol.
I've only done it for a few days and have resisted weighing myself, I am feeling really quite good- cut out sugar out of my tea, etc. I am eating when hungry with the free foods and super free, however I don't understand how I can eat and still lose weight. I have put what I ate yesterday into my fitness pal and had eaten 1800 calories (all healthy bar 7 syns). I worked out that I need roughly 1800 to stay the same. I know there is a science behind it, but will I lose it because they are heathy calories instead of greasy burger calories?
I know it must work as I'm losing my sugar and I have just cut the batter off my baked fish.... Has anyone else ever thought it was too good to be true? I am seriously considering enrolling but I'm just a little confused.
I have read through this post and there is so much support and people losing weight that it is a great encouragement so I am really quite excited to carry on :-)Savings target: £10,000 by December 2015!Total so far: £3470.00 = 34.7%

Hello all - Maman, TIE - hoping you remember me :j I have been back with SW officially for about 6 weeks now having tried to do it alone once I reached target and finally admitting I was heading for a one-stone increase
. I now have a fabulous consultant, young chap called Alan, and because I decided to retire I can attend a daytime group that is a ten minute walk from me. It's a morning group so I take breakfast in with me for after weigh in. However, cos I only have a few pounds to get rid of I am !!!!!!ing about, sts lose sts gain lose sts etc etc. I am determined to eventually get those pounds off, and I tell Alan I am being kind to him cos once I'm at target he'll get no dosh from me. Cuts no ice with him :rotfl: Anyway, hoping to get some tips from you all & I've been lurking for a week and spotted people mentioning using 5 scanbrans a day for a week, so I'm trying that. Certainly gets the wotsits going doesn't it? I've found mixing a couple of scanbrans with sf squash, mashing, then adding lots of fresh fruit and a yoghurt is one way to get rid of two of the five. Another two I mix with warm water til they get mushy then add 1 tablespoon of golden syrup & a sprinkling of cinnamon, that's my version of crunchie for 2.5 syns! Is it legal?
