Well done to all the losers :Tand keep going to all the gainers / sts.
I had lost 1lb at WI yesterday, and I am happy with that as I have been nibbling and after 7 hrs gardening said "sod it - chippy it is!":rotfl:
Been back to zumba, joined body balance class - but l am more wobble and fall over than balance. Also going back to kettlebells next week with support for the tennis elbow.Jane 21120 -

today:
mushroom omelette, bbq beans (they are really tasty and a nice change)
thai sweet chili rice (with added sweetcorn, tomato, peppers)
salmon, big salad
strawberries, apples
milk in coffee, taking 2 alpen light bars with me (HEb), got to take friends to the Edinburgh tattoo tonight. Usually going on a road trip like that I would nibble on the journey, sweets chocolate, but for once don't want to go off plan just because I am not at home. Going to the pictures while friends are at the tattoo, but not planning on buying any sweets etc. I have a bag of crisps with me.
I saw someone on tv today, the man was 76 and vegan and very fit (American) the interviewer was asking about his eating habit etc and he said: "If I eat something that is bad for my body, how can it be a treat?" I thought that was quite good. Going to remember that,;)
Really nervous for driving into the Edinburgh town centre, the roadworks for the tram line, the festival and the tattoo are all going on, wish me luck.0 -
Hi all,
Great news from all the losers!!
B - banana on 2 slices of w/meal, 0.5 for milk and 1 for sugar
D - Greek salad, HEA of feta, 1 for 0.5tsp of EOO on the salad (I used a measuring spoon, just enough for a good drizzle)
S - apricots
Got a box of fruit salad in the fridge for snacking this evening. Since I've been such a good girl I may indulge in a glass of wine once I've picked OH up from the station this evening
Tomorrow will be:
B - magic oats, grated apple, berries
L - ?
D - grilled hoisin chicken from the Taste of Asia book, boiled rice, pak choi and broccoli woked with soy sauce, perhaps a bit of garlic
Saturday is a reenactment day, so I'm still thinking, but so far:
B - SW quiche, no cheese (will be eaten before we're live so its ok)
L - 2 x w/meal roll [HEB+6], 30g cheddar [HEA], 50g reduced fat feta [4], spring onions, lettuce, carrot, apple
D - probably half a chicken chow mein [3.5] with the OH, and some prawn crackers [1.5 for 5]. I usually get mushrooms in gravy, not sure how many syns half of that would be. It'll take me over the 15, but I've been really low syn the rest of the week.
My fab discovery has been the lean bacon steaks from Sainsbury's, so much leaner than gammon steaks, and although smaller they're thicker. So where a gammon steak would be thin but the size of two hands together, these are as thick as my thumb but the size of my hand IYSWIM. Delicious, next to nothing to trim off them, and really handy cos of the long date. Just thought I'd share

I am going to gunwharf keys saturday shopping and will go out to lunch so want to minimise the damage as desperately want to lose a couple of pounds this week and get myself well on way for stone in 4 weigh ins for holiday0 -
It's funny to read 'already planning my lunch' Magic. As soon as I've finished one meal I feel bereft, then I pick myself up by thinking about the next! I'm TOTALLY obsessed by food
Will have a tricky few days ahead. It's our Wedding Anniversary today and I've bought Mr Frog some Roses chocolates. I've told him I don't want any of them already so should be able to resist if I'm strong.
I have some friends visiting from Manchester from Sunday to Wednesday. They are my oldest friends and I'm really really looking forward to it. They visit every year and we have 4 days on non stop talking, and once they've gone I always think of other things I wish I'd have had time to tell themI plan the meals as they stay with me so I can be in control of the food as much as I want to. The only difficulty is that I like to make them nice pies, and yummy food as a treat, and I like to do nice puds. But I'll not be serving myself any.
It is embarrassing. Like I said they visit every year. Sometimes I'm fatter, sometimes I'm thinner. Sometimes I'm 'eating', sometimes I'm 'being good'. Just feel embarrassed that I still haven't got a hold on it. I'm 'on a diet' again! And even if I say it's not a diet it's a 'healthy lifestyle change', most people would be able to have a few treats with their oldest pals for a few days. The trouble is, I know I can't. If I have few puds and pies while they are here, I'll keep going after they've left, and it would all have been for nothing. I cannot do moderation. I wish I could. But I know I can't. So I'm sticking to my guns.
Luckily for me, they know me very very well. They do not judge and are extremely supportive, so it will not be a problem to them at all. Just to me. I wish I could tell them I was curedSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Frogga - no reason why you can't serve yummy SW food to your friends with SW puds as well. Have a look at the website for ideas. If you don't have access try Googling "slimmingeats" and/or "minimims" - both have brilliant recipes on. I'm sure you'll be able to find some things that your friends will also enjoy.
As for me, well, it's another Green day for me today:
B - fried up LO potatoes, fried egg, mushrooms, maybe a few beans.
L - jacket potato & beans, cheese (HEA)
D - SW burgers from butcher (1 syn each), 2 wholemeal rolls (HEB x 2)
HEA2 - milk in tea throughout the day.
Syns: burgers 2; 2 x G&T 5; (may also have a lolly 3) = 7 (10) syns
Snacks: raspberries, strawberries, melon, banana

Morning
Frogga, I so know where you are coming from. I don't do moderation either but working on it. Good that your friends are real friends and understand how you feel. Try and concentrate on the fun with them and less on the food, easier said than done eh?
Trip to Edinburgh was good, although extremely stressful, with the roadworks, all the crowds and traffic. I managed not to binge or think sod it and buy lots of food at the cinema. Good thing I hate paying for food at the cinema anyway. But sat through the film with packet of crisps and a very small bottle of diet Pepsi. Was hungry though when we got home at 2am and usually that would have been my trigger to pig out but had some crackers with my cheese allowance for HEa and quickly went to bed
That is one thing I want to work on, drink less diet drinks and more water/tea. I love fizz but I am going to dust off my soda stream and have fizzy water with lemon or a splash of squash.
Last night's salmon was lovely, not sure who posted it about putting soya sauce mixed with a tiny bit of honey and chilli on it but it was delicious, will do that again. Had it with a big salad
I feel so much better when I eat well, physically and mentally, I have to remember that when I want to binge on rubbish cause I am stressed.:(
Have a great day everyone :j0
