Hovis Best of Both definitely isn't a Healthy Extra.
Have you tried Hovis Nimble the new Wholemeal one? Its lovely and your HE!
Just occurred to me how since I've started SW I barely eat bread at all now. I've half a loaf sitting in the house going stale from last week will be going to the ducks.
I made a fried rice dish last night for my dinner and brought the leftovers in was lunch - was lovely hot and cold.
Here's the recipe should you like to try it and I'm sure you could add chicken, prawns & whatever veg you fancy. The below was just my take on it.
Boil 20g of Brown Rice (One Person Serving)
Spray frying pan with fry light
Add a chopped garlic glove
Into the pan add chopped spring onion, chopped pepper, chopped courgette & sautee until soft
Add soy sauce to taste
Add chopped ham & stir fry until all ingredients all heated and coated in soy sauce etc to taste
Add in a sprinkling of Chinese Five Spice
Whisk together two eggs and put in the microwave until scrambled.
Add the rice to the pan - mixing all the ingredients well
Add your scrambled egg and break up to mix through well
Add more soy sauce if you like and serve
I swear it is delicious and even better SF!!0 -
Oh dear, just been invited out for a fish and chip supper later. I know I could take all the batter of the fish, leave the chips and just have mushy peas BUT.......0

Go for a smaller portion of chips - with larger portion of fish - plenty of salt & vinegar (it is a must!)
Last but not least - enjoy (but don't tell me how nice they are - i'm seriously craving some chips but know my gallstones would give me grieve if i gave in!)0 -
What bread do people tend to use for heb?
The best brand I have found is allinson.
Wholemeal batch is nice and healthy tasting but if you want naughty white toast their white high fibre is lovely. It is meant to have all the fibre of a whoelmeal loaf but doesnt look or taste any different to normal white bread.0 -
Maman lol:rotfl:
Go for it - enjoy it but be reasonably sensible and back on track first thing in the morning. I was out for dinner last Saturday night and enjoyed every mouthful.
Think the more fish less chips ratio is a good idea.
I wouldn't have the will power to take the batter off once its there in front of me!! lol0 -

Syns - from an 800g loaf, 1 thick slice is 5.5 syns and 1 medium slice is 4.5 syns.

Didn't think it would be, was worth a try. Syns aren't bad though. Thanks everyone :A
Usually I just have a wm roll when I have bread, usually when on lunch duty at school for convenience. Am on hols and son fancied toast so bought hovis as it looked whole meal even though I knew was best of both. Oh well tastes niceIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Evening all!
Just back from WI - 4.5lbs off!!! That's my half stone awardand I got slimmer of the week. I'm a very, very happy PG!!
I have been constructing a series of rewards for each mini-milestone, and as such I have just earned myself a full-body hot stones massage (for the half stone) and a pair of shoes (slimmer of the week, Kurt Geiger, reduced on eBay).
B - banana on 2 small slices of w/meal (HEB)
D - lean bacon steak, roasted veg in 1tbsp of oil (6)
HEA was milk, and the usual 3 syns of sugar in hot drinks.
Its going really well, and I'm fired up and enjoying it, although it is early days. I do think they're right about staying to group being important, I got a real buzz out of the congratulations and suggestions for my impending reenactment weekend.
Hope WIs are going well for everyone, well done to the losers.
Maman, enjoy the fish and chips, savour every mouthful, and then don't feel guilty. Take all the pleasure from the treat, and then get back on plan first thing tomorrow.

Hello, can I join you please? My motivation has gone, I found a great group but there's a terribly loud person in it who dominates all conversations and I find myself inwardly rolling my eyes and wanting to strangle them.....so I've stopped staying to group when I really need to

h007: 1 slice of Allinson white high fibre is now classed as an hexa so can still have that white bread0 -
