    Morning All

Mum of Two, I have only driven to Edinburgh once, was 8 months pregnant & when sat nav told me I had reached my destination, I pulled over next to a fancy hotel (was round corner from Train Station) very fancy hotel with doorman who was drawing me daggers . I got out the car, totally milked the pregnant waddle, got DD's bag out the boot & took her into the front with me, he felt sorry for me after that & never asked me to move :rotfl:. I only done it as DH could not get another train home that night for hours :D.

Joedenise - Your weight sounds like mine, I had a lot of STS or only small losses, then gains, most I lost was just over a stone but now I am back to just a loss of 6.5 lb so am determined to get back up over a stone again :(

Showed ah-mazing willpower last night, after collecting DH from the station, him & DS got a fish supper, I drove home with the smells wafting in my car, & made my salad & SW quiche, not even one wee chip passed my lips :A.
So EE Plan for me today :-

    B - Melon, Strawbs, pineapple
L - 1/2 tin salmon (1 syn for tomato sauce), salad, 0.5 syns for dressing. melon, pineapple, strawbs
D - Salad followed by SW butter chicken, melon

HEA & HEB - 3 x SS Ryvita with LCL

Trying to keep syns low, DH came home last night & had a bottle of wine for me :D. I am still under the allowance but only just, keeping syns for chow mein & wine tomorrow night :D

Have a good day everyone x

Had a sneaky jump on the scales last night and was annoyed that I haven't lost anything from Monday.

Still sticking to the plan and within my syns but last nights dinner was a bit carboholic! I made chips out of a Jacket potato, beans, fried eggs and then 2 slices of nimble! Pretty bold as carbs don't like me but felt the need................. Still all free and bread as HE.

So today's menu looks like this

    B: Watermelon & Yogurt
    L: 2 Slices Nimble & Heinz 5 Beans
    D: Bacon & Cabbage

Syns - Gin & Diet Tonic - Have friends coming over tonight.

Hoping I still manage to get a loss on Monday  or I'll be pretty annoyed.

Frogga - no reason why you can't serve yummy SW food to your friends with SW puds as well. Have a look at the website for ideas.

You are right I know and it sounds like I'm making pathetic whinging noises but I don't find it that simple

My first thought when they say they are coming is about the food I'll make them. I'll do lunches and dinners and puds each time. I'll make or buy lots of nice breads to have with each meal. If I were to have things with syns in them, 10 wouldn't go far enough. And if I'm totally honest, if I made a pud that had a few syns in, it would set me off bingeing. I just can't have a little taste of sweet, and then stop.

I'm planning on serving them cheesecake one day. I know I could make a SW version. But it would set me off on a binge. I'll do lots of food that I can eat with them, like chilli and jacket pot and salad etc, but it's the extras that I can't have.

Last year I was 13st 7lb when they came down. I'd lost 7st since the year before. I was really good the whole time they were here, and I 'missed out' on loads of goodies when we went out like ice creams etc, then the minute they left, something upset me (I forget what) and I started bingeing. And it felt like such a waste of time missing out when they were here because I was then stuffing anyway :o

I'm already embarrassed as I'm now 14st 7lb so I'm a stone heavier than last year. I remember thinking last year how I wanted to be at target when they came back again. I expect to be back up to 20st next year :o

Macpep1 that is some willpower girl! oh the smell of vinegar on chips, lovely....

frogga, so recognise what you are saying about not having the food with your friends and then binging afterwards, I have done that so many times as well and I bump into people who I haven't seen for a while, my first inner thought is: Yes, I am still fat, or fatter. The things we do to ourselves eh? I don't know the solution, just try and be kind to yourself. Your friends are there for you, not to see how much weight you have lost/gained. Good luck hun,

Frogga, do take the opportunity to plan for your friends on SW lines. Denise is right, there's so much out there that you can have and carry on having when they're gone.

When I was getting to target, visitors had SW friendly meals even though they didn't know that!:rotfl:

What's wrong with serving Shepherd's/cottage pie rather than ones with pastry? Casseroles are so much easier when you have friends round. Roasts are always acceptable. What about barbecues? Frittata is as enjoyable as quiche for picnics/light lunches. Omelettes and jackets are great for quick meals. Start every day with full English. There are plenty of low syn puds around but at this time of the year I just go for huge bowls of strawberries and raspberries and either have Greek yogurt or pass on the cream.

I don't know if you're all veggies but if not then you must be used to not eating exactly what everyone else has.

I know it's a big challenge but it's so worth it. Get going on that meal plan. If you don't buy synful stuff then you can't eat it. It's so much easier that you're in charge of the menu. You're in control.

    Go girl!:)

He He it's nice to know I'm not alone

They are really lovely people, and I'm so looking forward to seeing them. They know all about my eating troubles, they've known me fat, and they've known me thin. We've been friends since we were 4 years old so they know the lot :D They are a huge help and really understand totally.

We go out for a pub lunch, usually do on the last day of their visit. My mum and sister will come too. Some years I'll be 'eating' and some years I'll be 'being good'. It's just so embarrrassing. I won't pick something from the menu like everyone else, I'll have to ask for something special 'with no sauce/ without dressing etc' and it draws attention to the situation.

I'd just like to be thin, and be able to eat what everyone else does, without having to make a fuss and be the center of attention about it :o

Thanks Maman  You talk alot of sense.

I'm the only veggie but I'll only cook veggie meals for them and they love the treat of that, so all is good. They always comment on the lovely veggie food I make. I'll do the SW meals and funnily enough I was planning on veggie shep pie :D It's just the extras and the pub lunch I guess, and the ice cream and donuts on the beach that everyone else will be having.

They are all slim. They'll be greedy piggies while they are down here with me becasue the rest of the year they can control themselves. Unlike me ;)

Frogga, I was where you were three years ago. In fact, you've done better than me because you have already managed to lose loads. I took the best part of a year to get to target and have kept it off ever since.

I'm now one of the slim, greedy piggies. When I'm on holiday or going out for a meal I go flexi then I come back on here and jump back on the SW wagon. The holiday thing I did when I was getting to target too.

You could enjoy the time with your friends: be as SW as possible at home but enjoy doughnuts and pub lunches. THEN promise yourself (and us;)) that you'll go back to your regime of the exercise, water and healthy eating as soon as they go home. It'll take a bit longer to lose but maybe stop you bingeing.

Happy anniversary Frogga and no you will not be up to 20 stone by next year :-)

I know you say you put back 2 but to lose 5 stone incredible

My friend has lost 6 I reckon she has another 8 to go and she was getting disconcerted as it was staying even I said to her imagine 38 bags of sugar and that's how much less you are carrying around now sometimes when it goes a bit up or a bit down its so easy to forget how much you have already achieved

I'll make you all laugh I found a new exercise regime. I WFH on a Friday and was on a conference call with a really important client when the biggest flying insect I ever saw flew in the conservatory

Without any thought for decorum I roared jaaaaaaaaaaaaasus in my irish accent and ran

I have worked out a new exercise regime put me on a room with anything that flies and stings

Today weetabix and banana for breakfast and kiwi in between

Large pitta I know it's sins but.... And tin of tuna with pepper whole red one and an onion mixed with a it of Hellmann lighter tha light mayo

Tonight salmon with bit of teriyaki on top and stir fry veg
