Welcome Amyjay - I too am relatively new on here - although I have fallen off the weight loss wagon more times that I care to mention.:rotfl: Dont worry too much you will get lots of advice on here. I find it easiest to plan a weeks menu in advance, b'fast, lunch and dinner plus snacks - all written out and then do a shopping list to cover everything. Dont forget your syns - they are there to be used.

MrO dont beat yourself up, we all have days when we think, oh! didnt think there were that many syns in that! Use the syns bank system, start the week with 105 and deduct as you go along.

I work in the NHS and we often have 'do's' e.g. doctors leaving etc and they are always in an italian, indian etc and to be honest I have what I fancy on the day:beer: and worry it about later. I just cut back on syns leading up to and for a couple of days after.

I didn't have a particular goal date/event to be working towards but dear OH has just suggested weekend away at August Bank Holiday so better get motivated:kisses2:

Pink & whites are like marshmallowy wafer biscuit things I think.

Off on holiday to the furthest north of the UK I've ever been. I've been very bad since Tuesday (that's what 3 weeks until next weigh in gets you) so hopefully, now we're off & hubby will be with me 24/7 he will keep me on track while we're away. Self-catering so no excuse really! Service stations might be an issue though. Got to lose AT LEAST 3LBS - preferably 7 - when I get back to get my 1.5 stone award & hopefully my club 10 too :D

Wish me luck. I don' think I'll have any t'interweb access while I'm away  - how will I survive???!!

(Oh & you remember my consultant doesn't 'do' certificates? She found me some so they're up on my kitchen wall - though I'm not to tell the rest of the class :rotfl: )

Fourth week finished and another 2.5 lbs gone bringing me to just over half a stone lost so far.

I'm really pleased as I came home with my half stone certificate and also my 'slimmer of the week' certificate, goodies and basket of fruit. :j:j:j

  • Evening all!

2.5lbs off last night at first WI, added to the 4 pre-joining is 6.5lbs in 2 weeks! I'm a very happy PG!

Had friends over after WI last night and the meal was entirely free or superfree, the syns came from some fermented grape juice... ;)

I ate the leftovers for a late lunch, and its so muggy here all I've wanted for tea was a box of strawberries and some raspberries, washed down with a bit more grape juice ;)

Hope we have a good storm overnight to clear the air a little and tomorrow can be a better "proper food" day.

Tesco have the multipacks of Mullers on half price, or 5 for £3 on the individual ones. They also have 50p off a big tub of Total 0%, though the deal on Liberte in Sainsbury's beats that as its half price. We're going through a litre of 0% a week at the moment, so I'm happy to shop about!

I'm going to drag OH to the Grainger Market on Saturday and stock up on fruit and veg for a lot less :)

Welcome AmyJay and other rejoiners :) Such a nice crowd on here, it's really helping me keep focussed

MrO - you made the best choices you could in the circumstances. That's all anyone can ask of you. Contrast what you ate against what you may have picked the last time and be satisfied that you've at least changed the way you think about it, even if the meal wasn't 100% as you would have liked. You've taken control of what you can, no-one can ask for more.

Flip me whats with the 2.5 lbs this week lol!!

That's great you three! I would love 2.5lb off this week - but doubtful as haven't done half the walking I did last week.

So off out tonight to a seafood restaurant for a meal. Don't think I will be too bad but will allow myself something nice as at the end of the day its only one meal and a little treat every week will keeps me sane and on track the rest of the time.

Looking forward to watching BB and Mistresses that I recorded last night with a few G & T's later too.

    Hooray for Friday :)

Going for an EE day today:

B - LO boiled pots sliced and frylighted in a pan with LO brocolli, egg & beans. Meant to do some mushrooms but forgot until it was too late!
L - Crabstick, smoked salmon & prawns with salad
D - Butchers chicken burgers (made completely with breast meat mixed with egg as filler so only 0.5 syn each) with onions. Fruit for pud with FF natural yoghurt.

For anyone who eats puddings got a great idea from our consultant's manager (who was at group yesterday) - Snack-a-Jack caramel base, sliced banana on top and smothered with a Mullerlight toffee yoghurt. Had it yesterday and it was really filling and only 2.5 syns for the lot.
