Thank you for the warm welcome
Well my weight was higher than I expected by a whopping 9lbs  so I have more to lose than I thought. However the meeting was fine and the people very welcoming.
I have spent the last few hours reading all the info and this months magazine and planning our meals for the week so I feel ready to get started. My shop arrives tomorrow so I am going to make do with the healthier food I have here today and will start properly tomorrow.
Going to spend a while later reading through the thread to pick up meal ideas and other useful hints and tipsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Still here, lost my mojo completely, but just reading, sorting out my head and - trying to find my way back on plan.
Glad to see you are all so focused, regardless of what the scales say.
Swiper, don't let a brief fall off the wagon put you off. Guilt can be very persuasive and damaging.I have had a couple of naughty days, but I just keep telling myself that I can get straight back on plan anytime- I don't have to wait until next morning! Once I think like that I don't feel guilty or desperate but just excited to get back on plan.
Take each day at a time and keep posting here so we can support you! Keep telling yourself that 'nothing tastes so good as slim feels'! Find something to do with your hands, start a project like organising or cleaning, take a walk, do something / anything to distract you from eating! You CAN do it!
Rummer, good luck on your new journey! I am only a few weeks into this myself, but this group has been so helpful. I only went to a couple of meetings - the consultant refused to weigh me on my third visit as I was a little late ( she never explained the times to me and my first two meetings, weighing went on far later than the time I arrived and was refused.)she drive me crazy anyway and the meetings dragged on for over two hours - who has time for that?! I am glad I went however as I had never tried EE and needed the books.
I now save myself the fiver and weigh at the gym. I am finding, with the info and support here that is enough for me ( at least at the moment ). By my scales today I am 9.5lbs down, even though I am unable to eat as much SF as I would like ( have no colon).
Have a great weekend everyone!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -
WI this morning and back in the 9's so a loss of 3lb :j still obsessed with the size of my tummy after the darling 5yr olds comment. Will have to be extra careful in the coming weeks as break up for summer on Wednesday.
Bit dull and overcast here today so fluid consumption is down ( a lot !) as in no water except glass with meds.
Food so far
B - weetabix, milk, 2x coffee, water
L - carrot, red onion, sugar snap peas, lentil soup with handful of pasta.
S - coffee & Special K cracker crisps 5?
The rest of the menu not thought out yet,
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Mom's just done a salad buffet at hers, but why do I feel guilty even though I was reasonably good? I avoided the alcohol, coleslaw, pasta salads, samosas & only had a few pieces of garlic baguette ( 2 more than I planned to have! Though normally I would have eaten loads more - garlic bread is my weakness!) with my salad & ham & cold turkey but feel so guilty!0

any room on the wagon for a fat green one again?
Evening people,
I've been a really greedy pig. I've put on at least 100 stone, well, maybe slightly less than that, but it will be a lot. Can't bring myself to weigh. Possibly I'd break the scales any way
It's going to be day 1 on Monday. Myself and Tadpole 2 are going to be really really good all of the Summer Holidays as we're off school for 6 weeks!!
Our plan is ~
1. Stop stuffing and eat properly
2. Long dog walk every day
3. Bike ride every day around the block (2.5 miles) once in week one, twice in week 2 etc etc building up to six times round in week 6 _pale_
Also going to do a HUGE house clean up, drink lots of water etc. Stop spending, start paying off credit card. Got so many plans and I'nm going to stick to it!
I've put on so much weight that I can't get into any clothes. Iam wearing a big fleece to cover up. SO it's safe to say I'm a little hot. Why do I get myself in such a state?
I'm still bingeing at the moment. I'd eaten a whole Toblerone before 8am this morningbut it was rather nice
I'll get it together. Last day tomorrow. New start on Monday. Will post daily to keep me on track if I may.

Mr Helpfull thank God you're posting on here! I've found your posts so very helpfull and informative
All this time, there was I thinking I was putting on weight because of the vast amounts of sweets and chocolate I'd been eating, and then I find it's not that at all, it's the bloody low fat yogurt that I've had once a day  If only I'd have known earlier :T Please please empart more of your wisdom on us all.
I know it may have sounded like others on here were thinking you were an interfering idiot who had nothing better to do with your time than wind up people who were happily minding their own business on a support thread full of others who just wanted to help, but no, we're all really grateful for your impressive knowledge on the perrils of artificial sweeteners.
