I've done something to my back & in a lot of pain (not helpful with a toddler to look after!) & just don't feel like eating :( Had a couple of glasses of sf squash to wash down some painkillers, but have no appetite at all.
I've lost a bit of my motivation too - not that I want to fall off the wagon & eat junk, but I just can't think of anything interesting to cook half the time - I'm blaming the sun ;)
Hope everyone has a good day xx

Sorry to hear about your back. It must be hell with a toddler to manage. When I have a problem, best solution is anti-depressants which act as muscle relaxants BUT I end up totally out of it so no good to you with LO to watch.

Sun is a problem for eating but planning has to be the answer. I've been eating very light at lunchtime (snacking on fruit mid afternoon) and then there's the danger of getting too hungry and grabbing the wrong thing. Keep drinking plenty as that fills you up and dehydration is more of a worry in the heat than starving!;) Plan a good SW meal for supper and maybe eat it later than usual if that's possible.

WI this morning and I lost 1.5lbs:jso I'm exactly at target and only a pound heavier than when I went on holiday. I'm going to keep trying to stick exactly to plan as then any small lapses will just help me STS (does that make sense?).

    Today's EE:
B: baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, NAS Ribena
L: probably apple and cottage cheese but also have melon available
D: SW burgers, wedges, mushrooms, tomato and either courgettes or peas

Syns: may use a bit of marg to saut! courgettes. I don't have a griddle. Would grilling/baking them sprayed with frylight and sprinkled with herbs work?

Advice about the courgettes would be very welcome. I took a bag to WI this morning for people to help themselves. Did a little sign saying 'Superfree, please help yourself!' and then realised that was full of excellent double meaning.:)

Thanks all - maman, I'm already on anti-depressants due to Post Natal Depression, but am guessing they're not strong enough as they're not working on my back ;)
A hot water bottle is helping a tad, though am trying to get a cool breeze in the window at the same time!!
Have planned lunch, so when dd goes for her nap, I'll eat something then. Must think about dinner too, but can't decide!

I'm feeling for you.:) know medical advice isn't allowed but just sharing experience. My GP prescribed amitriptyline as I have some sort of intermittent disc problem. I take those with co-codamol type stuff when needed. I believe that alternate hot and cold can help. So perhaps try an ice pack. I use the ones you put in cool bags so less messy. Got to be better than a hottie in today's weather!

Thanks - a friend suggested the alternate hot & cold so I'll go & find an ice pack in a minute! I also have co-codomol to hand as I was prescribed it when I got a bad back after the birth of my daughter. Thanks x
Put my pasta on, I'm starving now so much looking forward to it!

Just back from WI and shopping. Have bought loads of fruit - even more than usual so no excuses not to snack on it!

Lost a lb this week but have been yo-yo'ing with that lb for nearly 2 months now. I'm just hoping I can keep losing a lb a week as I'm not far out of target - just need to lose another 3lb and I'll be back at top end of target.

Having said that I'm not having a SW dinner tonight! DH wanted Bratwurst in rolls last night but no way was that happening with WI this morning, so that's what we're having tonight. I've worked out that they are 4 syns each so I'll have 2 in small wholemeal rolls (HEB). DH will BBQ them so he can also BBQ some onions, peppers, courgettes etc so I get plenty of superfrees as well:D

Having a Red day today so have have salady bits, a LO chicken thigh (no skin) a few crabsticks and a pile of grapes and strawberrries after.

Am drinking diet tonic at the moment and will probably have some NAS lemon squash later on (I find other flavours far too sweet).

Will probably have a lolly later on this evening so that'll be another 3.5 syns (need to check as they are lollies I've not had before but they are 70 cals each).

    Hello lovely people!

My first group last night was great :) I'd lost 4lbs over the week I'd been doing it myself at home :D My consultant is really nice, and the group was really friendly.

Although I'm still feeling under the weather I challenged myself to walk there, about a 10-15 minute amble, and felt very pleased with myself as a result. The walk back was thirsty, and I very nearly succumbed to the call of a tin of cider, but I resisted!

Today has been a lazy day, had a bad night again, but keeping well to plan. I'm going to go shopping this evening, once it cools down.

B - SW quiche, 1/2 HEA cheese in recipe.
L - fruit salad, too hot for anything else
D - undecided, ham salad or beans on toast I think. Something light and simple not requiring the oven!

Syns will again be milk and sugar. We don't seem to be using very many, but I suppose that's no bad thing, and they're there for when we do make choices which are less low calorie so I'm not going to get hung up on it. Its not like I'm feeling deprived and deliberately keeping them low. I think I'll start using olive oil in cooking again and syning it though.
