I'm trying really hard to be good today and not let the temptation of having been bad all week (having been on holiday) get the better of me and continue the trend of too many syns prior to weigh in tomorrow.

Today I decided to start using my fitness pal to record my food choices but to be honest, I don't find it very user friendly and the adverts are annoying.

Today's menu has been a fruit pot from m&s (160g) (nectarine, blueberry, raspberry) for breakfast followed by mid morning snack of 1 piece of the nature valley choc chip bar (5 syns).

Lunch was m&s Teriyaki Beef Salad bites in Mooli ribbons (2 syns) and if I'm hungry this afternoon, I have more raspberries in the fridge.

Dinner is probably going to be jackets, beans and cheese.

Drink wise - plenty from the water cooler and just one cup of tea this morning.

I suppose you could call today an extra easy day although the superfree element is somewhat lacking as I need to go shopping !

I'm thinking I might keep track of my food choices on here or in the sw diary. I don't think I can face the headache of my fitness pal - why do they have to give you so many choices when you just want to enter a bit of fruit?

Evening all I am here to get a collective boot up the jacksie. I have lost my mojo and have been steadily gaining for weeks. Am now at my original target from when I went to club which is 5lb above MY target which I chose when I couldn't stop losing (not sure that makes sense). Anyway here I am back on the wagon :o

    Food today: Green
B - weetabix, milk, 2x coffee, glass of water
    S - 3x tomatoes
L - cous cous, savoury rice, lettuce, cue, toms, s/onion, s/corn, n/spuds, beans, beetroot. Baby bel light. Fruit salad (apple, mango, satsuma, pineapple) with vanilla activia ff. Go ahead cherry choc thin 3.5 syns.
    S - coffee
T - 3 egg omelette with mushrooms, onions, toms, sliced babybel light, new pots, beans, spoon olive oil, squirt BBQ sauce 1 syn
    Syns - 4.5
HEA milk & babybel (not sure how many are a HE)
    HEB weetabix & olive oil

Drinks - 1.5 litres water, 3x coffee, 1 glass water for meds

Am impressed with myself for drinking that much water, must keep it up.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

so i joined up and am ready and rearing to go, need to go shopping tomorrow, get some staples for food cupboard but i have looked and searched and even asked at group

if i freeze a banana and then blend it what is the syn?
and are frozen grapes free? or syned too

banana tastes like ice-cream and grapes taste like sorbet so if i can carry on eating them in this hot weather it would be helpful

Frozen fruit or veg is free but if you blend/mash or puree it then it's not - Banana, fresh, pureed/cooked without sugar, 100g = 5 syns.

You don't need to blend a banana for it to taste like icecream - just freeze it, then eat with a spoon then it's syn free! You can also pop a Muller Light yoghurt in the freezer for a few hours & that makes good 'ice-cream'.

thank you now that makes more sense, just need to slice it up to make it easier, i had been just putting them in whole so had to either blend it or wait for it to defrost, the grapes i just ate as they was

My consultant puts them in whole I think overnight & it doesn't freeze too hard - I haven't tried it yet as I keep forgetting!
If you blend something you can consume a lot more before it starts filling you up than if you ate the individual bits - SW aims to get you to fill up on fruit/salad/veg (especially on Extra Easy) - which is why they say it's free as long as it's 'Whole from the Bowl' (or thereabouts ;) )

Does anyone know if you can still buy frozen melon?
Sometimes find it hard to chop & it is getting way to expensive to buy ready done. The one I used to buy in Asda has gone up from £1 to £1.50!!!

That's a great loss DD.:j Have a great holiday and then jump back on the wagon.

Strangely tie, I was wondering why we hadn't heard from you lately, assumed it was end of term madness! Well done for pulling yourself back to the plan. In the time honoured SW soundtrack 'Is there anything to stop you [in the next six weeks]?;)

I had my flexi meal last night (yummy fish in batter and wine) so back to SW today.

I've had an egg on HEB toast and Ribena so far. I've got baked haddock, cauli cheese and new potatoes planned for supper. In between I'm not sure. Probably just snack on fruit, or apple & cottage cheese. It's too hot for proper meals. Only syns will be my squirt of sauce and my share of the cheese sauce although some of it might count as HEA. Not a perfect day but reasonably healthy.
