Oh I love cockles - and mussels in jars - great snack to have in the cupboard, but even better to get them fresh at Swansea market with a drop of vinegar
Hubby has taken DD away to FIL's to give me a much needed break - so I've had a naughty Singapore Chow Mein from the takeaway - lots of gorgeousness & no cooking for 8.5 syns. Unfortunately, I also couldn't resist the sesame prawn toasts (7 syns for 2  ) - not too bad as I expected 4 pieces max - unfortunately there's at least 8 in the bag
I've got 30 syns to use though I suppose as I didn't have any yesterday, but we've got a lot of friends coming over for a bbq tomorrow & it's going to test my willpower to avoid the alcohol & all the naughty bits! I'm planning to just have a cheese burger (HEa & HEb), a lot of salad, jacket pot & corn on the cob & some chicken/lamb kebabs that hubby's made, but I'm not very good at resisting the dessert, alcohol or potato salad!Pray for me!!

Oh cockles from Swansea Market!!! I adore them. I hadn't connected with the idea that they'd be ideal SW fare. I'll be there sometime in the school holidays so I'll have a big portion with vinegar and I like loads of pepper too!:D
Do you suppose laverbread might be syn free too?;)
Good EE day for me:
B: HEB Shreddies with strawberries and HEA milk, NAS Ribena
L: mashed potato base quiche with saladchicken jumbalaya
Syns: had a squirt of low calorie mayo with lunch and used a splash of oil for the jumbalaya other than that it's my usual (saved) wine syns.
Cheese and milk in quiche will be extra HEXs (allowed at target)but very large quiche and 75g cheese and quarter pint of SS milk spread over several meals and shared with DH is good.0 -
Well dried & cooked (wihtout fat) seaweed is free but I'm not that sure how they prepare it - might be worth asking0

Anyone who goes to class - which weights do you get certificates for? I only got a sticker for my half stone - will I get a certificate for my stone award? I'd like to put them up in the kitchen so I can see them & keep me on the straight & narrow!!0

No certificates in our class for stones/half stones.

Every member who reaches a recognised milestone should receive both a sticker and a certificate same with SOTW & SOTM. My consultant is too lazy to do a SOTM unless its inspection time
Thanks - she just replied on facebook saying they're not a company requirement & she doesn't buy themWould rather a certificate than a sticker so I can look at it more often. Might have to see if I've still got my ones from 10 years ago & reuse

To be fair, she's one of the better ones I've had over the years but I would have thought the stickers & certificates would have been supplied togather (whether the consultant pays for them or not). Ah well!0

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!!
Todays food should go like this:-
Milk in tea as HEA
B - magic porridge (HEB) with ff yog (1 syn) and mixed berries
L - sausage omelet, have bought the BGTY cumberland ones that people have spoken about to try, will have 2 of them so (1 syn)
T - chicken fried rice (or chicken noodle stir fry) with peas, mixed peppers, onions and mushrooms
S - planning on a smoothie lolly (4 syns), cherries, pineapple, apple, nectarine
