Wasn't good last weekend and tried to rein it in a bit since then. Had a lb gain but not unexpected.

oh I was just having a really down day is all. According to their menus the slice of pizza should have been 125cals (or about). So I thought I was safe having a slice but really shocked when the book told me 12 syns!

But I stayed on tracked and had all my normal food inc my HEA & HEB & even my hot choc (2) at night.

I was just feeling crappy because I seem not to be losing (tho I haven't weighed myself in a while because I get obsessive about it). My clothes don't feel any looser.

And then there is a friend of mine on it - last night she posted on FB that she has lost over half stone in 2 weeks on SW & it just got to me a little.

oh well, every day is a step in the right direction & at least I seem not to be putting on weight at the mo either.

Our consultant is always reminding us that we are all different and that we should never compare our weight loss journeys with others. There are lots of factors that influence/hinder weight loss and different things work for different people. one of my friends who was doing SW was distraught at her colleague's fab weight losses with SW then found out that her colleague had been taking slimming pills alongside doing the plan.....

It is interesting to see mention of my fitness pal, a friend of mine got me signed up but I didn't stick with it too long as I found it all so much of a faff but I know of another friend who has been using it alongside her sw planning and she is finding it beneficial so I might have to log on again and find out.

Please don't feel guilty about having your slice of pizza. i am very much in the camp of if I go out, I have what I want but then its back on track. (from the next meal) Have you heard of flexi syns?

Second WI and I'm a little disappointed with my loss this week - just 1.5 lbs. I know, it's still a loss but I had hoped to do better!
And I did a few walks this week... :(
And I'm sick of salad... :o

Hi Stef (and everyone) :hello:

Great news that you're still doing well - how much have you lost in total now? Sorry to hear your son is disheartened but it does sound like it's the scales; if he can keep it together until next WI I'm sure it'll show :)

Have edited Sig to show amount lost with SW, i lost 9lbs prior to joining a group following the online meal plans too so coming up for 4 stone :)

If your sick of salad im guessing you are doing this with the mentality that you are on a diet and you can only lose weight eating rabbit food? Have you used your online membership to look through the SW site and the meal plans to see how your best to utilise your 1/3rd superfree?

I realise there is more to diets than rabbit food. I have cooked some of the lovely recipes but DH likes to live off salads in the summer so I usually make a large bowl to last a few days. Finding time to do something different for lunch is hard so usually just grab a tub of salad to take to work too. So salad for lunch and salad for tea... I just don't think I'm organised enough yet :o

So far I have found the whole thing very expensive. For example, a Syn free Mullerlight yoghurt is more expensive than the Tesco version, but that isn't Syn free. I have spent more in the last two weeks than my normal monthly food budget.

I dont buy mullerlights i buy the fat free natural yogurt from aldi at 55p a pot or if i want a flavoured one activia are currently 8 for £2, weight watchers and shape 0% are 4 for £1.
Would your OH not have something like roasted veg with couscous or pasta as an alternative as they can be eaten hot or cold?

There is a chart in your pack which gives a height/weight guide so that might help. It looks like something like this:

So for you, it suggests somewhere between 9 and 10 st. Personally I dragged a figure from the back of my mind that I'd been before I started putting on weight. You don't have to have a final target if you don't want. Some people have a dress size in mind and call target when they get there. Others set mini goals, say a stone at a time, until they feel happy.

Ended up with a busy evening and DH suggested the chippy. Amazingly, I refused and dug a SW curry from the freezer.:)
