Possibly but the type of dress I want from the shop I want it from is a small size. Their 16 is more like a 14 so a 16 should be a decent fit
I know exactly what you mean MrsR. My plan when I joined SW was to get into a good quality 12 or a cheapo 14, dress sizes can vary so much. I'm not suggesting you're planning a cheapo dress but some styles are cut very narrow. I think it's better to go for a larger size than look as if you're poured into something too small.
Sounds like you had a good and productive weekend lantanna. Great feeling getting rid of big clothes.Dare I ask - are we having a New Year's challenge? I'd so be up for one !!
I'll certainly be here in the New Year and I expect we'll have lots of new virtual friends join us.;) Perhaps eric would be kind enough to start a new thread.
So far I've just had a light breakfast (Shreddies) and I really don't feel like eating at all. I think I'm feeling jaded after having rubbish over the weekend and wine syns yesterday. I've got a big pot of vegetable soup I made yesterday to have for lunch if I fancy it. SW burgers planned for supper.
It's my last dance class tonight and we'll be having nibbles (again:eek:). Then it's normal eating until Thursday when I'm out for a Christmas meal.
Dreadfully wet and windy here.:(0 -
Morning all
SHALA - I am a STS this week
apologies for being missing all last week.I had a very hectic week trying to write essays, go to work and attending the works christmas party :A. I got up at 5am this morning in order to finish my essay so i am extremely tired today. The last few days havent been the best (although i wouldn't say a total write off).
Everyone at work wanted a curry for the xmas party so thats what we had - i just had one plateful (some people got up & had 3/4 plates worth of food ). I chose tikka masala, plain rice, half a plain nan bread with half a poppadom. That filled me up nicely. As for alcohol i drank 3 x skittles vodka with diet lemonade (OMG SO GOOD
:D), and 2 x tins of crabbies along with a lot of diet coke (and an appletise i think) . I am pretty pleased with myself as i exercised some self control on the food & booze front (IMO anyway)
I am so glad that i only have 4 more sleeps til we break for xmas..I desperatley need to "unwind", and catch up on my sleep. I am overjoyed about the fact i have no more essays left to think about or any other uni projects until next year (my last lesson is Thursday :T) and then no more uni until Feb 2014 :T:T:T
anyway i am having a green day today :-
B - one peice of toast (Heb) with marmite & low fat spread (2)
L - Jacket potato with spag hoops
D - Quorn chicken with onions, mushrooms, sweetcorn & peas cooked in low fat cream cheese ( split into 2 portions) - will say 2 hex a's for the cream cheese
snacks - bowl of golden grahams & milk for cereal & tea (will say 15 to be on safe side) , & an apple plus 2 x alpen light (hex b)
am hoping the spud will fill me at lunch so no afternoon munchies , and by the time i get home it will be too late to thinking about eating.
ETA - Just remembered i have a cherry muller in the fridge so may have that too if i am peckish this afternoon.
Happy monday all

Me too!!! I have 3 weddings to go next year and I want to look my best (and possibly wear a dress if I feel comfortable enough)
I'll volunteer for admin duties again, but I'm no good at thinking of a good challenge name
I imagine come January that this thread is going to be swamped with new peeps...
Right I'm off to go shoppingnot the most favourite pastime! I'm hoping it won't be too busy on a Monday morning *fingers crossed*

Morning all,
Not sure how I managed it but -2lbs this week please Shala - that actually takes me below my target range but at least it gives me a bit of leeway for the upcoming festivities.
I would definitely be up for another challenge in the New Year - frogga is always good for thinking up an interesting name.
Have a good day everyone0 -
