Most of the time I refrain but around Christmas I let the reins go a bit...
Next week i'm only in work for 2 days so I should be ok...
That's one of the hardest things about SW when others are providing the food. SW is easy when you can plan and cook your own meals but life gets in the way!;)
That sounds like one scary experience with the tyre MrsR and I think you did brilliantly to forego the pie and chips.:)
As predicted last night I did eat a load of junk but didn't have any wine syns so not a totally flexi meal.
Today I'm back on plan but have a lamb roast without all visible fat removed:drool: but otherwise loads of veg so reasonably OK.
Miserable weather here too but it is mild so could be worse.:)0 -
Tie - take comfort in the smallest things? You'll suddenly find comfort in some random things but it'll all help the process and although your heart will be forever broken it'll help in the the tissue papering it back together xxx eat what you can when you can, grief is a horrible thing its unpredictable and can come from no where xxx best advice I got when my dad died was just go with the emotion if you want to talk about it talk, just do what's best for you at any given moment, there is no right or wrong way to grief, just do what you find fits?
Rambling now but...
We are all here for you sweetheart xxx anytime night or day xxx
Thank you Mildredd for your kind words [and everyone else :A]
Yesterday was a particularly bad day as it would have been my eldest sons 29th Birthday as well as my Mum & Step Dads wedding anniversary. We had also arrange to sort the funeral without realising what the date was but as both my sister and I were in complete melt down my BIL cancelled the appointment. So we stil have that to deal with.
Just want to say again:A:A:A:A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hi all
Spent the whole day stressing out over my NVQ assignments and thinking if i'm struggling with these how on earth am I going to manage a degree?? I just wanted the standard comfort foods I had when I was at uni - masses of wine and chocolate but then I picture myself walking into the room in my lovely size 16 dress on April 26 and seeing everyone's faces (my rugby club awards ball, which is mainly the reason I'm continuing with SW at the mo, if it weren't for that I would have stopped at my interim target) and asked OH for a cup of coffee insteadI rewarded myself with a small bar of Kinder (3.5 syns) after lunch instead and it tasted all the better!
B: 2 Tesco Wheat Biscuits (HEXB) with HEXA s/s and chopped banana, cherry Mullerlight and cup of coffee with HEXA skimmed (used the last of the s/s on the cereal!)
Snack: Cup of coffee with HEXA milk
L: Chicken minus skin stuffed with onion, a few Aunt Bessies Homestyle Roasties (2.5 syns) Sainsbury's Basics Yorkie pud (2 syns) loads of steamed mixed veg. Pint of NAS cordial, Kinder bar (3.5) banana
T: Jacket sweet potato, a tsp of light spread (1 syn) beans, pint of NAS cordial
Syns: 9
Hope everyone's ok, WI tomorrow. More nervous than usual, I really hope I've lost this week!! Night all xxxx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -

April is months away yet so what makes you think you'll still be a size 16?:D I think you could lose loads more by then if you want to. At less than 1lb a week you could lose more than another stone.
Sorry if you've told us before but you seem to be limited in what you can eat by cooking facilities. Any chance of that changing anytime soon?0 -
Possibly but the type of dress I want from the shop I want it from is a small size. Their 16 is more like a 14 so a 16 should be a decent fit
and sadly no chance of the cooking facilities changing. I'm going to drop to half pay and lose my SSP very soon so money will be even tighter than it is currently
I'm hoping to get PIP but I'm not holding my breath
I couldn't use a cooker anyway even if we had a functioning one so the microwave is still my only hope

A new week begins. :j I'm not exactly thrilled to see Monday but hey ho, this time next week and I'll be counting down the hours to finishing for xmas. I feel sad as I'm moving departments at work and this week is my last full week
A bittersweet moment.
I think my syns ended up on the high side yesterday but I tried to be somewhat good and I'm hoping to still see a loss at weigh in. I'll post details later including my menu for today.0 -
Having another EE day today. Have had to change my planned evening meal as there is no LO roast pork as had DD & DGD for dinner yesterday which I didn't know about when I done my menu at the beginning of the month!
B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - Tri-colour pepper soup
D - Fish, chips, peas & green beans
HEA - Milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread for toast
Snacks - Mullerlight
Have run out of fruit! so a bit light on SF today which is why I've decided on HM pepper soup as I can use up some of the soft veg in the fridge! Although not in my recipe I will add some celery, garlic and anything else I can find in the fridge to up the SF.
Glad it's market day tomorrow so I can get some more fruit - only need enough until the end of the week as will be going away for a couple of weeks after that and will buy some more when we get there.

Morning,
Mrs R - just keep that vision of you in your dress in your head!
It will keep you going.
Had a lovely wee day to myself yesterday, went out for a big walk (though I did get caught in the rain) - but it didn't damper my spirits. Had a lovely bath, got caught up on some much needed housework. Have a bag of size 20/18's for the charity shop & one ready to go on Ebay - not sure when best to put these on though??? My gut is telling me to wait until Feb when people are feeling more flush - Mrs R, your an ebay girl - what do you think?
Had a few with G& T's & watched the X factor last night - was glad Sam won and how stunning is she! Well done to her too for loosing weight!
Made myself a lovely dinner of roasted Butternut Squash, Parsnip, courgette, red onion, peppers a few roast potatoes and a pork chop - was truly delicious !
Have been fairly good this week so far and intending to be so hoping for a wee loss on the scales on Thursday - but as usual who knows!!
Dare I ask - are we having a New Year's challenge? I'd so be up for one !!0 -
Hi lantanna
I would say look at what you have to sell and gauge it from there. If you have any winter clothes (for example I sold a lovely heavy hooded cardie a little while ago) or anything smart (for example I've recently sold an unworn dress and shrug and a lovely chiffon top) bung them on now as this is the cold/winter season. Jeans I've found sell well any time of the year (mine are an unusual size as although I'm 5'6 I have short legs so I have to get a slightly shorter length which are rare in some places) but anything else I would leave a little longer as I find clothes do sell in season if you see what I mean.
Hope that helps youx
