Just want to say a BIG thank you for all your kind words. I'm taking great comfort from the fact Mum was where she wanted to be, in her own bed at home and not in hospital. My sister was with her holding her hand when she passed so that comforts me too especially when I beat myself up for not staying too (I was going to do the early shift while my sister went home). Mum is at peace now but I'm heartbroken.

Managed a wi for Shala - 2lb loss I know that's a grief loss as when I do eat it's carp.

Thanks again everyone :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

My menu did change today but has still been relatively good :j

I ended up having brunch of 2 fried eggs, bacon medallions and mushrooms.

Lunch was blueberries

Afternoon snack was 2 boiled eggs

and tea is stuffed peppers with a few sw chips and some feta cheese (HEA option).

Syns today included a sugar in my coffee at the hairdressers and may be some alcohol syns later although will try to stick to diet coke. I'll also probably have some sweet chilli sauce with my sw chips

thank you for your kind comments Maman :)

Hi all
Mare of a day today. We'd just left the house when OH discovered we had a flat tyre. We had to try and drive across the city to Kwik Fit and we were just round the corner when the tyre blew totally. Luckily OH managed to manoeuvre the car safely to the side of the road and park it somewhere safe until the AA turned up and put on the spare wheel to take us round the corner to the garage. I forgot to take my anti-depressants this morning so I had a panic attack when it happened bit OH who has severe mental health problems, managed to stay amazingly cool and calm and call the AA on my mobile. I weighed myself on Boots scales and even before I take into account my jeans and the fact I needed the loo :D I've had a good loss but we shall see :D last night was a test- I went to the rugby and craved a pie and chips but I stuck to the MugShot in my flask, banana, 3 Ryvitas and a bottle of Diet Coke :D

Yesterday's menu:
Scrambled eggs, melon, cup of coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Tesco light choices mushroom stroganoff with rice (5 syns) steamed mixed veg, HiFi Rocky Road (3 syns) pint of NAS cordial
T: packet of chicken chunks, banana, MugShot, 3 Ryvita Hint of Chilli (HEXB) SW cheese scone, bottle of Diet Pepsi
S: Ham and pease pudding 'rolls' (pease pudding rolled up in slices of ham) NAS cordial
Syns: 9

Saturday
B: Bacon sandwich (bacon with rind removed, 1 slice HEXB bread, 5 syns for other slice and scraping of spread)cup of coffee with 0.5 syns for dash of milk
L: breakfast was late so just a cup of coffee with 0.5 syns for milk
T: SW carbonara with HEXA laughing cow, ham and chicken chunks, 2x baby corn on the cob, a bit of OH's garlic flatbread (a quarter is 7.5 syns and I had a half of a quarter so about 4) cherry Mullerlight, banana, NAS cordial
Syns so far:10
Going to do some body magic when I've digested my tea :)
Hope everyone's ok x

Was good last night and didn't have the planned glass of red but did have a Ryvita with a scrape of butter so 2.5 syns instead of 6 it would have been for the wine.

Today is an EE day:

B - bacon, mushrooms & scrambled eggs
S - salmon & cucumber sushi - 1.5 syns whilst out shopping
L - beans on toast
D - HM chicken curry & rice. May also make some onion bharjis.

Will definitely be some wine syns this evening as we have friends coming over.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
Syns - 1.5 sushi; onion bharjis (HM) 0.5 syn each; wine - not sure yet how many

Denise

Hi Denise, do you have a recipe pls for the onion bhajis as I've never made them before... :)

So sorry to hear your sad news TIE, my thoughts are with you. Bit late catching up as usual, but hugs to all those that need them.

Last week +0.5 so trying hard this week for a 3lb loss then I'll be 2 under target (which I'll get then too).

I've been going for green days and making lots of soup so that should help.

It's from the SW website.

Makes 12 @ 0.5 syn each all plans ingredients
200g onions, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
50g gram flour
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tbsp coriander seeds, crushed
1 tsp deseeded and chopped fresh green chilli
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves
¼ tsp baking powder
Salt
Low calorie cooking spray
To serve
A pinch of paprika
method
1. Place the onions, gram flour, lemon juice, cumin, coriander seeds, green chilli, chopped coriander and baking powder in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and add a few tablespoons of water to form a thick batter that coats the onion. Leave to rest for 15 minutes and then, using your fingers, mix again to combine thoroughly.
2. Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C Fan/Gas 7. Line a baking sheet with baking parchment and using your fingers or a dessert spoon, drop small mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet to give you 12 bhajis.
3. Spray with low calorie cooking spray and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden. Remove from the oven and serve immediately sprinkled with the paprika.

I don't bother with the sprinkled paprika when serving - don't think you really need it.

Haven't sorted out menu for today yet so will pop back later once I've decided.

The weather is very dismal here today so I think my menu today will have to reflect this.

I have had breakfast - fruit platter from $ainsbu&& (melon/pineapple) and 1 piece of a nature valley choc chip bar (5 syns). My syns ended up low yesterday so I thought it would be ok to waste a few syns. (I stuck to diet coke on our night out :) )

Lunch today can only be SW chips :j

and tea is meant to be steak and jackets but might end up being just jackets with perhaps the Look What we Found Chilli and a HEA of cheese.

Have a good day all and stay warm and safe x
