L tub cottage cheese carrot batons strawb muller yog
D roast chicken breast with skin on, used my syns! 2 small yorkshire puds loads of carrots sprouts and 6 small new pots and gravy
used my syns for the puds , gravy and chicken skin!
    brainbox!

suky, your plan looks like EE so there's no need to limit the potatoes provided you have at least a third of SFs and you look to be fine with that. Why no HEXs?

A lot better today & have a sugar free jelly to have before bed.

I saw sugar free Jelly in Aldi yesterday. need to check for syns.

MrsR, I must try your carbonara recipe. Sounds like I could make up a portion for lunch very easily. Quick question: I always use Batchelor's savoury rice because it's syn free but you seem to choose Uncle Ben's (3 syns?). Any particular reason?

    Hiya all :)
Sorry for lack of posts - I've been out most of today. And yes sukysue is correct - I do buy the micro one and just pop it in. I usually use the golden veg one which is 2.5, I have some of the Batchelors one but it seems quite difficult to do in the micro so I prefer Uncle Ben's which is much easier - 2.5 mins and hey presto :)

And re the carbonara - yes it is that easy and its yummy! Stick some chopped ham in with the cheese triangles - cook the pasta first and drain it and the hot pasta melts the cheese. I used full fat Dairylea in OH's but you're only allowed three of those for a HEX so I use Laughing Cow Extra Light. Its really quick to make, when I'm doing it for myself it takes me about 20 mins - and I always have a bowl of salad as well. The tip for the carbonara came from my Mum and I promise you it works :) (but make sure you mix it up well to coat the pasta)

The pasta is also really good with light Philadelphia stirred through it :) sweetcorn red onions peppers and ham ;) the Philadelphia is a hexa choice ;)

I have my fingers firmly crossed that the disgustingly synful sandwich I scoffed on tues will be within syn allowance - the sausage roll and the pastry off a pie maybe not. Either way Mondays a new week :)

Had an eep moment before when I realised every week between now n Xmas I have at least one day where a unsw meal is likely to happen :( don't know what to do :s do I try n save syns from the rest of the week? Or do I call a flexi day? Obviously ill try to make to sw choice with meals but some are pre booked pre sw meals I've got ? Two weeks its a roast turkey with trimmings meal at a theme park :(
One week is a trip to Manchester's Christmas market?
My birthday? a child free shopping day with lunch

All very syn heavy potentially :(

Going back to stuff I've posted

Food waste - tbh it tends to be stuff like bread she leaves say 1/4 of a sandwich? Something that can't be cut down on or the other day it was a teacake she left which I'd of previously scoffed? Meal wise she's hit and miss? She generally has what I'm having so to scoff her veg isn't a problem though not often she leaves veg :)

Target weight - I wasn't sure if there was a science behind calling target? A family member has been trying to get her target for at least 6 months and is current 1 on 2 off etc and isn't any nearer what she's saying is her target? I picked 6 stone randomly but obviously I may call target sooner or not then? Quite liked having a club 10 to aim for truthfully - I like having a finish line to aim for with most things :)

Hugs for losers and double hugs for anyone with a toad

Ps today I met two of Father Christmases reindeer actual reindeer!!!

  • Hi Shala and everyone else, hope you are all having a good weekend

Fort the chart I have STS

I deserve this given the amount of cake I scoffed this week, will try to be better next week, am planning to make carrot and coriander soup to put in a flask for work and have with cheese and crackers. Not a good start though as ate 5 buttery biscuits last night!!
    Will start again from tomorrow.

I can see that it works if you're saving time. I suppose I'm obsessed with prioritising my syns :o so couldn't bring myself to 'waste' any on rice.

Which two were they then? Prancer, Dancer or good old Rudolph?:rotfl:

I think if you've got a lot to lose then it's hard to be motivated by a target that's a long way off. Some people set interim targets, so that may help. Personally I was motivated by dropping into the new 'stone' brackets and clothes fitting better/dropping a dress size.

If it's just one a week then I think you'll be able to manage it by saving syns. Within reason, I wouldn't deprive yourself. I remember going to a show in London and then out for supper at a favourite restaurant over New Year. I made wise SW choices and sat there with a plain omelette, JP and salad. The trouble was the salad was no more than a few leaves and tasteless tomato, JP was leathery and omelette overcooked. I resolved then to use saved syns or go flexi for meals out. So if you do gain marginally or STS you won't gain all the weight you've lost just on one meal and weight that goes on quickly tends to come off quickly too.

Today is a day when, fortunately, I'm not going out to eat so more in control. EE plan:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, scrambled eggs
L: YS runner beans with a half syn sausage
D: beef casserole (inc. celery, carrots, mushrooms and onions)with green beans and new potatoes
Syns: squirt of sauce, cornflour and some red wine in casserole, wine syns.:)

The batchelors rice is easy peasy.
Chuck in microwave bowl , add water & stir & then chuck in microwave for 15 mins.
I do occasionally have the Mr Bens but find it quite greasy.

Just made more chicken & sweetcorn soup~I so love this ~

Have had an accident though with my water bottle & washed it in too hot water & it is now a very funny shape & wont stand up :(
& I really don't have money to replace it :(
