Don't we all ;) That's why the support on here is so good - we all fall off from time to time. I've only just got back on plan since the end of July - now time for a push until Christmas!!

Has anyone tried the chick pea dahl loaf? My friend wanted to try it and between us we decided she could try making them into balls like onion bahjis and add onion to the recipe too. She bought them into work and they were sooo lush. she ended up putting them into muffin cases and baking them like that as the mixture was too wet to handle.
They are not exactly onion bahjis obviously but they are Indian snack-ish and will certainly help me have an Indian takeaway without falling off the wagon. We are going to try them again and add a few more spices too.

And did i mention they are free!!!!!!

I admire you lot for sticking to it in your own way. I like a LOT of the SW plan as it really HAS encouraged me to eat new foods that i have previously hated..
An example is fruit...I have SW to thank actually because before starting SW i avoided fresh fruit like the plague , and only ever ate dried fruit. So i startedwith eating apples, frozen grapes, berries etc regularly, over time this has changed from ONLY eating frozen fruit (and apples) to eating a variety of fruit that is FRESH like peaches, satsumas, banana :eek:( i HATED HATED HATED banana with such passion that i convinced myself it was the claggy texture)..OH how wrong was i? After trying it 6 weeks ago i now eat a banana several times a week .. I luffs them :o:heart2:
Other fresh fruit i eat now are all the berries (so raspberries, strawbs, blackberries, blueberries etc) , pineapple, mango, still love my apples..bit on the fence with pears and plums.. BUT BUT BUT i dont want to feel that i "have to" eat fruit every day which is where i fall down .
Another bug bear is the oats so simple PLAIN porridge pot syns - I really really really object to synning them. If they are flavoured then yes fair enough but they are PLAIN oats..

I DO want to give it another shot...I lost loads when i really made an effort..I must sound like a wally:o

RFD - you don't sound like a wally - we all have loves & hates & you are doing amazingly well if you're eating all that fruit when you hated it previously. I don't eat fruit everyday, though on EE it is part of the plan that you have 1/3 plate of fruit/salad or veg with every meal, this is not the case with green or red! I love my banana's too ;)

Give it a go - you've got nothing to lose but weight & we'll support you whatever you choose to do :D

Does porridge HAVE to be Oatso Simple? You could buy a big bag of plain oats for much cheaper & a 35g portion of plain oats is a Healthy Extra B choice - you could mix with a fat free yoghurt the night before you eat it to make 'magic' porridge!

(or Aldi's Mornflakes Oats 2 Go are a HEb choice too ;) )

Thanks skint_catt for not making me feel like an idiot. I do want to give it another go. Realistically i wont be able to go food shopping until the weekend (work in the day, and uni 3 evenings a week :() so i will aim for a definate monday start BUT will make an attempt at partial SW from tomorrow.

ETA - Does anyone know syn values for ainsley harriott wild mushroom bulgar wheat, and the lime/cjhilli quinoa?

@lindens.. I haven't tried the loaf but have made SW onion bhajis a few times before, very nice with a curry.. feels like a naughty takeaway

@rainbowfairydust.. i'm not a big fruit eater.. have a banana every morn with my brekkie (2 Weetabix for HEB) that's about it these days.. I was eating loads of fruit at one stage.. packs of pineapple, blueberries and strawberries.. spent a fortune!.. and its funny that since I went back to just the banana after my hols my weight loss kicked in again.. prior to hol I was maintaining, gaining, small loss here and there then back on!

I bought loads of oatso simple on offer then they changed that they were no longer a HEB!.. still using them every now and then but will go to plain oats once they are gone.. :o
