They are not electric scales, they are just 'go round the clock' ones. The tadpoles have been jumping on and off on and off one at a time and then together so I think they broke the spring

They wanted to see how mant times they cound get it to go right round so the were holding all sorts of iron from the shed aswell. Brilliant.

Maybe your tadpoles are trying to tell you something :D - seriously though frogga, knowing your relationship with scales in the past maybe not having them in the house will be good for you - as maman said, your first weigh-in at Boots may be a fair bit different but from then on it would be an accurate record of your weight loss and the tempatation to 'hop' on would not be there.

    Morning all,

Oh I hate marzipan - even the smell of it lol

A man just said to me this morning "Do you not think you've lost enough weight now?" and he actually meant it!!!

    Couldn't believe it !!

Trying to drink lots of green tea today and claw back for thurs - but doubting it as had a little stuffing session on the settee last night after a rotten day :)

I hate marzipan too lantanna - disgusting stuff :p

I always find it amazing that even people that don't know you very well seem to think it is OK to comment about your weight - whether it is negative or positive - it really isn't any of their business is it

Have a good day everyone :)

Thanks Shala - I'd love to become a Christmas Cracker!! I know it's ambitious, but could you put me down for 10lbs (you always lose more in the first week). What day do you "weigh" in for this challenge??

So, I have built up the courage once again to step back on the SW journey. After losing 2.7 stone in 2009. This weight has gone back on over the last few years and more....1 and a half stone more. I have been inspired by your weight loss and lifestyle changes. Shala I have read your posts here and MFW board, So feel I have startred to know you.

I have decided that at this time that I will not attend a class (I know my chances of success are less); due to cost etc. This may have to change if things don't work. I have dusted off my old books and notes and know that I can do this again. My starting weight is 14.6 (the heaviest I have been) and at 5'8 and a bit this means I am now wearing size 16/18 clothes. For me the size of my clothing tells the story a lot more than the weight. It is there everytime I try and squeeze into my jeans.

I can feel that I am rambling so will cut this short. Just wanted to know if I can squeeze in to this thread with a view to losing a few lbs with your support?

    Thanks for reading...:)

Welcome Arkers - pull up a chair - no need to squeeze in we have plenty of room for newbies :T. I don't go to group either and have been at target for over a year now. Feel free to ask questions - there is always someone on here that can help. I see you say that your books are from 2009 - do they include the Extra Easy plan? If not then there is a good explanation at the very start of this thread and there are sample menus and recipes on the SW website that are available for anyone (member or not) to view.

Welcome arkers.:) You've come to the right place. you can ramble all you like on here!:rotfl:I'm a target member and have been for more than two years. Your story resonated with me. I'm 5ft 9 and when I started I was almost 14 stone. What pushed me to start losing weight was that I was bursting out of size 16 and I just couldn't let myself move to 18s and beyond..... I'd suggest you start posting menus/food diary on here and we'll chip in with any comments. Your books will help you but there have been changes since 2009 (many positive like a few extra grams on many HEXs). Feel free to ask all the questions you like.

    menu today
    B banana
    L 2 pears and 2 apples
D wedges beans toms 2 sausages gorgeous!
took the sausages as my syns
    hea milk in my tea
heb might have magic porridge for supper if desperate !
Hope everyone getting on ok good luck to us all!

I agree with lindens and I really don't think you're eating enough suky. Perhaps they were 'normal' high syn sausages but your breakfast and lunch are no more than snacks and unless you were driven to desperation you didn't have a HEB.:eek:We have someone like you at our group and she just can't get it out of her head that she's 'dieting' and to her that means she must deprive herself. She has lost weight but that's probably because she just eats far less and fewer calories than she was eating before. Slimming World isn't like that. You can eat loads provided you fill up on healthy foods and put 'bad' things to treat status. I'd suggest you tell us what you really like to eat and we can maybe come up with some SW alternatives.

My DH is feeling better today so meals should return to normal. Do many/any of you cook separate meals for yourself? When I started I got my DH on board and he's more than happy to eat SW.

    My plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: probably soup (HM lentil and vegetable)
D: baked haddock, cauli/broccoli cheese, new potatoes
Syns: squirt of syrup, cheese sauce

Is there anyone who's 5'6" & knows their BMI is around 30? If you'd be so kind please could you let me know your weight - pm me if you don't want to post it on here. This is my aim for some fertility treatment & need a figure in my head to aim for (I know bmi is dependant on muscle etc, but an idea would be good!) thanks :)
