    Hi Folks,

Sorry I've not been about in a while, I've had a very very sad couple of weeks. I lost my best friend my little dog on Wednesday morning after a short illness.

RIP Sweetheart, Til we meet again xx

    Anyway I hope time heals.

Unfortunately the first week of my loss for the challenge is purely down to stress and not something I feel like time celebrating.

However it was 1st Week - 5.5 lbs

Hugs to all that need them at the minute. xx

Ah Lantana I'm so sorry, I know it's so hard. I lost my 16 year old whippet in February and my 13 year old in March. It's just auful. I was more upset then when I lost human family members. The order in this house goes Kids, Dogs, Mr Frog. And sometimes that's negotiable ;)Who cares about weight loss hey?

I've been dreadful foodwise. Really dreadful. I've felt sick for 2 days now because of the crap I've eaten. I usually eat so well, and feel so bright, and when I eat rubbish, I look and feel like carp.

Found lots on new leaves in the pond so going to turn them all over...

  • Sorry to hear that Lantanna. Sending a hug!

Today is going to be an 'on plan' day for me! I'm off to work at lunchtime so I've just had porridge (B) and got everything laid out ready to take to work with me. It feels good to take control of my eating, but I can never get it to last very long! However, I really do want to do well in my target for this mini challenge and get to Christmas feeling good!

OMG  they are still in the pigging book she gave me when I joined a week ago, it's bad enough that they are foul but 1 1/2syns each . No kit kat for me tonight then. Definitely sticking to my Dark Rye Ryvita from now on, that'll learn me :(

I saw on the website that they're no longer HEB although my consultant did say that if they are 3g of fibre per 100g then they are old stock and still OK - it's only if they are lower than that they're not! I've only ever had them once absolutely foul so never bought them again!

Had a very small piece of the pumpkin pie I made and worked it out at 5 syns yesterday but that was all the syns I had so fine with that.

    Today's plan is EE again:

    B - bacon, scrambled eggs & mushrooms
L - red pepper & orange soup (again), bread (HEB)
D - not sure yet but something with minced beef, possibly chilli with lots of added SF veg & rice or shepherds pie

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
Syns - small piece of pumpkin pie 5; glass of red 6 - total 11

So sorry for your loss lantanna - I lost my little cat over 3 years ago now and I still miss him a lot - I know TIE mentioned 'rainbow bridge' and it is a lovely poem - it sums up exactly where you want them to be waiting for you until you meet again.

You are definitely in the most need of hugs at the moment so here they are :grouphug: xxx
  • Lantanna I'm so sorry to hear of your loss :( Big hugs!

I went to my first meeting last night and was horrified by what the scales told me. But as the consultant said, at least I had made the decision to be there. The lady who weighed me has just become a target member after losing 3st 11lbs in just under 6 months, if that isn't motivation then I don't know what is!

Happy Friday all, be good! x

Starting afresh today! Have put on 1.5 lbs this week and its been a pound or so gain for weeks now and it has got to stop!!

It can only be little bits that are all adding up because I don't ever eat bread, biscuits, crisps, I don't drink alcohol, I don't take sugar and I only drink skimmed milk. I eat loads of fruit and veg, lean meats, fish etc and I never eat fried foods.

I plateaued out some time ago (despite sticking to plan) and it just went on and on and I got fed up with it and started having maybe a bit of cheese or a hot chocolate drink - that really is the limit of my "badness" (if that's the right word).

I walk briskly for 30 mins every day and once a week I do a longer brisk walk with a group. I also do yoga once a week. Exercise makes no difference whatsoever to my weight except I do feel better for doing it.

I still need to lose a couple of stones so it definitely isn't because I'm close to target.
