Wiz, I do the same as Maman and keep my syns light during the week (usually 4-5 per day) and save most of them for my weekend wine :o. I know this is not strictly recommended but it has worked for me and I have been at target for about a year now :).

If you cut out your syns you may end up feeling deprived and then give up as you are denying yourself treats (whether they are sweet, savoury or alcholic ;)).
  • Today has been pretty good, I've eaten mainly fruit,

    B. Ham (picked straight out of the fridge :o)2 extra light laughing cow (1/3 HEXA) and a banana.
    L. Muller light, fresh melon and some mango
    D. Steak, chips and mushroom, with a side salad.

NAS Ribena, and some tea/coffee (milk from rest HEXA )

Chips will need to be synned because I'll use the actifry, instead of slimming world, I will workout tonight if it's worth the syns! either 3 or 6 depending on the amount of oil.

Tonight I will have a couple of Hi Fi Lights HEXB, and maybe a packet of Walkers baked stars(think they are 5).

I might make some "syn free" hummus, I love it so if this is nice it will be a real bonus for me.

    Afternoon all :)
Maman, I'm clinging to those joggers as long as I can!! I'm still wearing a pair of my size 24 yoga pants by pulling them in as far as they'll go and tying them very tightly so I'll do the same with the joggers ;)
Mum came back off holiday yesterday and gave me some money as she couldn't bring a present back for me so I had a lovely lunch today. I got very excited when I found a beautiful dress in the littlewoods outlet shop but it was blue and my mate pointed out she's wearing the same colour :( back to the drawing board then...
Ladies, cats and frogs, I have a couple of impending problems. First of all- my consultant has said that when we do the miss slinky thing in a couple of weeks she wants us all to wear an outfit that makes us feel a million dollars. Now my problem is- I have bog all. All I have is the dress I wore to my birthday and anniversary but it requires a lot of hard work (and shape wear) to make it look half decent. It's a very plain black skater dress but without the hard work and shape wear it looks boring, dowdy and a bit unflattering. I only have a few smart tops left, most of which are pretty unremarkable. So to be honest I'm slightly stumped! Anyone any suggestions?!
Second is my rugby club's ladies day in 2 weeks- dreading is not the word. It's like a sit down meal and there's always wine and cupcakes. Wearing pink is mandatory but luckily I have a smart new navy and pink jumper which I will wear with dark blue jeans so that's not the issue but temptation is (and that's before the lads start taking off their shirts for the auction but that's another story ;))*panic setting in*
    Menu for today:
B: 2 x HiFi Light Rocky Road (HEXB) banana, cup of coffee with HEXA s/s milk
L: medium salad from morrison's fresh salad bar- salad tomatoes, lettuce, beetroot, mixed onions, mixed peppers, 3 boiled eggs, Uncle Bens Golden Vegetable Rice (2.5 syns) A mixed bowl of strawberries and raspberries with vanilla Mullerlight, pint of NAS cordial with mineral water
T: Jacket potato with a bit of Flora Light (1.5 syns) spaghetti and broccoli. Apple, pint of NAS cordial with mineral water
S: 2 Pink n Whites (5 syns) cup of Options Wicked White Choc (2 syns)
    Total syns: 10.5
    Body magic: 3 mile walk
    Hope everyone is ok xx

You could use oil but it's 6 syns for a tbsp. (2 for tsp) or use as a HEB. 1 syn for light mayo, 1.5 syns for sweet chilli sauce. I only have noodles with a stir-fry so then I've got liquid anyway. perhaps a noodle expert will be along soon;). Apologies, but I didn't realise you were having a salad. That improves the SF count.:)

wiz, syns are built into the programme so you should have them for lots of reasons. One school of thought is have the full 15 a day until you get to a point where weightloss is plateauing out then you have leeway to cut back a bit. Some go for 10 only to allow for any careless measuring. Personally I start the week with a bank of 105 and subtract from it as I go, saving most for weekends.
    MAMAN
I have been knowingly having 8 to 10 occasionally going to 15 and just over. I don't indulge with wine or sweets. my downfall if any is BREAD and POTATOES. i have tried having glasses of water and syns but my weight does not move much it keeps fluctuating lose 2 gain 2 ad so on. I am the same today as I was last January. Good maintenance if nothing else

    Hi losers :p

Apologies in advance for any mistakes! The laptop has died so am using my tablet and it loves to make words up!!

Today has been really good for me! I feel different to other times I've done the diet, maybe because now I understand it a bit more and don't feel so overwhelmed with information :o

    Today's menu:
B: Scrambled eggs & beans on toast (HEB), banana
L: 2 mini corn cobs, mug shot (Mediterranean style, so free), mandarin, apple, Muller light
D: Chilli (EL mince, onion, mushrooms, pepper, chilli, tinned tomatoes, kidney beans) & rice
Just about to tuck into some strawberries and raspberries with some fat free fromage frais and sweetener.
Later I'll have my daily choc fix - dairy milk little bar (5.5syns).
    HEA - milk.

I'm really looking forward to that chocolate, I've seen the 5 remaining (from my 6 pack) bars sitting in my fridge on a couple of occasions today and REALLY wanted to gobble them all! I haven't though, there are still 5 bars :j

I know a few of you have your WI's tomorrow so good luck!!

Well I've finished my cupcakes for work, i'd like to say that I haven't touched anything but I've probably had a whole cupcake with the bits and pieces I've "tried".

Disappointed in myself, and feel a bit sick now too! :o

never mind - my food was all to pot anyway today as I've not been feeling the best. I've got really bad toothache and I've been taking quite strong painkillers which made me feel a bit icky..

Actual menu - supposedly a red day, not actually sure what it was :rotfl:

    B - 2 x toast (heb)
    L - 5 pieces of ham, 2 cheese triangles, pom bears (4)
T - meatballs, instant mash, carrots, gravy (2)
    S - cupcake bits (1000000 syns) 1/2 a cracker because I felt a bit sick

ah well, back on it tomorrow, it could have been so much worse as they all had chips from the chippy at lunch and I didn't touch one :A

Hope everyone else has had a good day xx off to catch up now!
