I am really cheesed off :( it was supposed to be weigh in this morning. The woman running my group never told me the times etc- there is just a notice on the board saying 9am onwards and that's all it says on line. The last 2 weeks ( my first 2 weeks) I arrived about twenty past, but weighing was going on until well after 10 am. I was tere until 11.30 last week as she didn't start talking until 10.30, but someone was still weighing people for her. I arrived just after 10 today however to find her talk in full flight, the room full, and she refused to let me weigh in, saying weighing is strictly between 9-9.30. I told her she never told me the hours and I was surprised given how long weighing went in last week, but she asked me go back after she finished but I couldn't because I was due at my sons school for a performance. The lady who weighs was still sitting at the scales! I am going to try and go to another one a bit further out this evening, but if my daughter isn't home early enough I really don't want to drag my youngest with me ( he is on the autism spectrum

Can anyone tell me whether I am allowed to weigh in tomorrow if I have weighed in Thursday the first two weeks, or do you have to be within the 7 days? I will be blowed if I am expected to go next week and pay 2 weeks ( and I am so annoyed I don'treally want to go back to my original group anyway- she shouted ' byee' really sarcastically when I said I couldn't get back after she finished talking!

ETA:I can't find any Friday groups anywhere around here at all,so if I can't go tonight I won't be able together weighed until next week. So annoyed! I will weigh myself at the gym in the morning, but of course I have no idea how those scales compare to slimming world!

I do the weighing in our class and to be fair, if our leader is already doing the talk and is using the PDA (go through everyone's WI results etc) then it isn't possible to weigh anyone until the end as we need that to put the card into to use the scales. However, saying that she should definitely have told you the times, and if she was doing it later last week it's just going to cause confusion. She also sounds like a bit of a nightmare! I know you said you couldn't find a Friday class but if you do manage to I think it's ok to be out of the 7 days; if you find one you'd rather go to though I would ring that consultant of the new class and just check that you won't have to pay anything if you change and it misses a week out (or else try and take it as a holiday). Sounds like both you and your friend would benefit from a different leader! Good luck :)

Not free on Red days - it's got beans in it! You can use some beans as HEX B but quite honestly it just isn't worth it on Red days.

As I said before only Free on EE and Green days.

I meant Green lol, I am colour blind :rotfl:

I really need to be more organised with my lunches. ended up in marks again and got a fuller for longer spanish chicken and butterbean salad - 6.5 syns!
and along with my frusli breakfast bar thats most of my days syns gone already. - i have loads of these bars to use up as I stocked up when on offer recently. Can anyone reccomend a good value cereal bar for when I run out??

I find the Alpen lights expensive & only buy when on offer @ 2 for £3, I now buy Aldi Harvest Morn Benefit Bars, 6 in a pack for £1.29, you get Summer Fruits, Chocolate & Orange & Apple & something, if you get these make sure its a white box & will say 70 calories on the front, I made the mistake of getting the ordinary ones & they were something like 6 syns each
You can have 2 of the Benefit bars as you HEXB x

I had a wee packet of wotsits last night taking my syns to a total of 7.5.

Saving some for wine at the weekend.

    EE Today :-

    B - Melon, Pineapple, strawberries
L - HM Lentil Soup, Melon, Pineapple, strawberries
D - Smash Pizza HEA for cheese with peppers & chicken
    S - Banana, toffee muller
HEB - 2 x Benefit bars or nutri grain biscuits
Syns so far - 2 for skimmed milk

I am entertaining tomorrow so will be busy getting food organised for the bbq, still plan on being SW friendly, I will make burgers for myself, everyone else will have normal ones.

I also changed the battery in the scales, DH weighed himself with clothes on & said he was 3lb lighter, I said I would wait until Wednesday as normal as I had just eaten dinner :rotfl:& would have been down in the dumps if it hadn't changed.

    Enjoy the lovely weekend everyone.

    Hi macpep
If you want to save yourself some work, these burgers from Sainsbury's are just 1 syn each. Our consultant says they're yummy.

Be Good to Yourself British Quarter Pounder Beef Burgers, 4 pack, frozen, 113g each

I'm having burgers tonight. HM that I had in the freezer. I'm doing them with a tray of roast Mediterranean veg and wedges. Really looking forward to it as I've only had some Shreddies and a load of raspberries today so far. All syn free so that leaves plenty left for Pimms in the garden later!:rotfl:

Sorry skintcatt, I've never eaten quinoa. I've always imagined it might be like couscous. Hopefully someone will know.

Evening all. need to catch up with posts but first, I thought I would post this as its something I've been thinking about and would welcome views....

I struggle with breakfast choices - a combination of not really fancying anything to eat when I get up and lack of time. Then I'm on the bus to work and suddenly I'm ravenous. I buy the Nature Valley choc chip bars for my OH to eat and I've usually got one of them in my bag so its opened and munched before I've had time to consider that I'm eating my day's syns in a few mouthfuls.

I need to plan better so my first question is what do you have for breakfast, and my second question is - the nature valley bar is 10 syns (5 syns per piece) which is crazy ! but I was thinking of treating the Nature Valley Bar as my Healthy Extra B (most HEB options are 6 syns) and then adding 4 syns. I know this isn't strictly following the rules - the Nature Valley Bar isn't on the Healthy Extra list but I wondered if anyone else did this?

ETA - in some respects, I know this is cheating. But I was thinking of something along the lines of - if I don't have a HEB - I'm saving 6 syns which I could put towards the nature valley bar and only count 4 syns for it. I know it wouldn't be sensible to do this long term but perhaps once or twice a week??

Just started C25K tonight - that's the most I've sweated for 20 years, but an amazing sense of achievement! This week's training is 5 min warm-up walk then 60 sec running, 90 sec walking, 60 sec running etc for 20 mins! 8 minutes running in total! I'm amazed at myself - can't you tell? :D:D:D

This is how she made me feel- stupid, even though she had never told me the times. Luckily I met up with someone I used to work with in the group last week, and she called in to me on her way back from group- she lives round the corner from me. She is on the point of quitting too, because she feels this consultant takes the mickey out of her and is forever saying things like ' that's cheating- you know all about that, don't you carol !' ( I changed her name, lol)

She has considered making a complaint about her, but it's the only group she can get to. I have offered to take her with me if I find another group however I am considering 'going it alone' instead. There are two ladies at the gym doing slimimg world alone and i think I might suggest to them a regular weigh in together and supporting one another. I wouldn't have been staying for the talk at the group I joined anyway- the woman has a very high pitched voice which goes all through me and I can't afford 2.5 hrs a week listening to ' Mary came to the group today ladies etc etc etc,'. Isn't it blindingly obvious that Mary came to group of she is sitting there, lol? Can you tell I am in a vile mood, lol ! ;)

I am going to weigh at the gym tomorrow. Luckily I was weighed when I joined so I have something to reference back to, plus their scales are extremely accurate and calibrated frequently.

I'm annoyed at how your consultant was. I'd be tempted to complain !

Catching up late from yesterday! I only had half a pound loss last week, despite sticking religiously to plan. Is it possible to over-eat free foods, I wonder? Anyway, half a pound is better than no loss or gain, so I will take it! I am surprised that I still feel so positive.

' nothing tastes as good as skinny feels' is my new mantra! :D

I am putting what would have been my class payments away into a separate purse to treat myself at some stage.

I had a great body pump session today, put some of my weights up and unusually, didn't feel hungry when I got home, so Friday's intake was really low. My daughter came to gym with me twice this last week and it makes such a difference!

I have looked up lots of free recipes for next week. I am aware that my membership is going to lapse shortly and I will be unable to go onto the website members only area, so I have been looking up lots of stuff, syns etc ;)

Have a great slimming weekend everyone!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

Half a pound is fab - it's slow and steady in the right direction.:j

Just a thought - if you are going to the gym and doing a few weights in your classes you could be gaining a bit of muscle and that's heavier than fat....

Same...breakfast is a nightmare for me too for the same reason.

I am allowed to eat at my desk...can you eat at work? I have fruit and mullerlite or sometimes some porridge. Otherwise i have been resorting to a ham and mustard sandwich on the train!
