Thanks for explaining about the chilli MrsR. One tip I've heard is to pour of as much fat as you can when you've browned the mince, so maybe if you did that it wasn't quite so synful.;) I'm always looking for ways to cut costs, mainly because I see it as a challenge not to be ripped off. I'll post tips whenever I can. I struck lucky with todays lamb shanks as they were YS when I went into Tesco to use a voucher I'd been sent. Aldi's ready made ones are only 3.5yns though. I'll be cooking mine with loads of Aldi veg, except for my favourite Farmfoods frozen leeks. Can't wait!
:wave:gien, the pudding challenge is the next little project planned on here. After a week off, the next aim is NOT to look as round as a pudding by Christmas. So during the week the lovely shala will be asking for targets of how much you think you can lose by 20th December. I think it'll be a good idea to give us focus during the party season.0 -

hi to Easy123 and Fire ember x
Well done Shelly for meeting your target :T Maman, well done for remaining in target. And Becks I know you kind of didn't do the challenge for a bit but you still lost 4.5lbs in the 6 weeks!
Thanks for all the messages guys, big hugs x
Next week if you can put your challenge targets so I can easily spot them then that would be great.. BIG writing and colourful if you like! It is (nearly) Christmas after all!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Hi everyone haven't posted since May but am an avid follower of your lovely thread and am inspired by your recent losses on your challenge. Please can I join your next? ideally I would love to lose half a stone to reach my first target. I have lost very slowly 2 stone since Xmas whilst attending group but would love to be part of this very supportive online group of very knowledgable people + frogs.0

Hi all, getting back into it I think!!
B; slept through it
L; ff yoghurt - didn't feel like eating
D; chicken thighs with sw roasties, courgette in garlic, peas & sweetcorn
Just made another batch of syn free tomato soup, so that will be my lunches this week. £ are tight here now as 8 days until the account is refilled again & only £4.11 left after dd's birthday/party/christening & our holiday spends. I'm sure we'll manage, but whether it'll be very synful remains to be seen after WI on Tuesday!
Please can I join the pudding challenge? If it's 8 weeks I'll go for 10lbs please - I need this motivation to not be 'so' fat for this Christmas!!

Well the christening wasnt too syn ful and Im glad I scoffed a pack of ryvita minis between church and the party x just had two little sausage rolls was too busy trying to negotiate the baby away from the sweet Buffet and to eat some actual food xxx so come home and scoffed some more grapes
Shala - 1 stone buddy's definitely x
I'm going to ask the consultant in the morning to clarify the body magic awards (I want the sticker lol) but it looks straight forward enough I'm just going to build in a walk every day with the pram lol xxx just a bit of a hater of walking in the rain lol xxxStarted sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb
New Year New You Challenge - /6lb0 -
Welcome Gran  2 st in a year is excellent. They say if it comes off gradually it stays off so flipping well done.
Not sure that I'll be aiming for a whole stone in the 'Will you be a Christmas Pudding or a Christmas Cracker?' challenge (such a catchy title
) but I think I'll wait to see how much I lost in total this challenge and then decide. Tomorrow's weigh in awaits... Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D
