Hello all!
Just catching up on here, its been a while again sorry guys!
Sending big hugs to Shala and Beanie on their sad news, puts everything into perspective really. I gave my DD's an extra hug tonight, I am blessed and need to remember that sometimes. Take care of yourselves xx
Well I got my big !!!! back in the game and lost 6.5lbs at WI on Thursday. I stuck to plan and cut out all the rubbish I had been eating. My head is still in it thank goodness, have had a good day syn wise, and am about to sit down and munch some grapes.
I want to say a huge congratulations to those that stuck to the 6 week plan, to lose over 6 stone as a group is fantastic. Be proud people! I would love to commit to the next challenge. There will be a lot of family and friends I will be seeing at Christmas, so this is my motivation to keep going with being on plan.
Welcome to all of the newbies! You're in the right place for motivation and encouragement, this thread is fab! Hope everyone is doing ok, I've missed you all and won't stay away so long next time.0 -
Hi to everyone, I'm another newbie to the Forum but not to Slimming World. Briefly, I've done SW online twice before so I have some idea about what I'm doing, but things have changed a bit since the last time I did it!
This time I'm unable to afford the £60 to join online as I had to give up my job in early 2012 when my partner suddenly fell ill without warning and since then I have been his full-time carer and we didn't have an income for the first year and lived off savings. I try to supplement our income with making and selling jewellery online and have had a few sales but not enough to pay the gas bill yet!
I've been weighty for at least 25 years but really packed the weight on since he fell ill as I've been virtually housebound with him until recently. Now I'm trying to get things under control as my health is suffering with the excess weight. I haven't set a target but ideally I should be 5.5 stones lighter although I'm not sure that's realistic. I'd just like to get back into a comfortable size 16 as my first goal.
I've been lurking on this thread reading for the last couple of weeks and as you all seem friendly and supportive I thought I'd join in.
I've only been slimming for two weeks. My first week's weight loss was 3.75lbs and I shall find out what I've lost this week when I weigh in tomorrow (although I have the excuse of it being a Star Week ;-)
I've been mostly doing Extra Easy but have had a couple of Green days as I felt a bit rough and didn't want to eat as much and couldn't face the mountain of veg and fruit on EE.
That would seem to be about it, I think! I'm looking forward to being a part of the group x0 -
Great loss Becks :j

Easyas123 - how about keeping a bag of ready washed salad and some low fat dressing in the fridge at work? You could take in hard boiled eggs, cooked chicken, tinned tuna, ham and have different salads. Or take in homemade soup and reheat. Or have a bowl of cereal.
Get yourself a big refillable water bottle and keep it on your desk. And well done on your loss so far!

Hi again..
I've just found a product that I quite fancy trying - Kerry Low Low snack packs. Basically some cheese, multigrain toast and chutney.
I couldn't find the syns online but worked it out at 8 using the syns calculator. could I take some syns off for the cheese as a HEA?
Anyone had them mentioned in class?Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
