6 Week Awesome in Autumn Challenge Day 39 Week 6
Thursday 17th October

Did you really post at 1.58 in the morning Frogga? If so, yes its waaaay too early to hoover, LOL.
I'm feeling a bit better today - I think my gut must be finally settling down a bit. I've only had tea for breakfast but lunch is at a workshop today so I will have to see what is available.
I'm fed up of not being able to eat properly and the scales this morning didn't show any loss at all, so that's a bit of a downer too.Trying to keep in budget.

Morning everyone! So my first meeting was yesterday, got my pack and raring to go!
B: M/L vanilla yoghurt, 35g shreddies, banana, berries, tea with milk & sweetner
L: SW recipe butternut squash soup with potato skins, hifi rocky road
D:golden veg rice with spicy tiger prawns and veggies
snacks: M/L toffee yoghurt, peach, berries, dairy milk oreo (4 squares)
drinks: tea with milk from HE allowance, no added sugar squash/flavoured water
I make that 9 syns (rocky road and dairy milk). Trying to stay under 10 syns for the first few weeks.
Haven't read the pack from cover to cover yet so thats what i'm doing in my lunch hour. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

I have a question if you please - you lot seem to eat a lot of soup, but what do you have with it? I always have a ton of bread, which is a really hard habit to break so I steer of soup on SWfirstly, how do I break the habit and secondly, what would you substitute it with?

I made the potato skins from the SW website - and they were yummy I could eat them like crisps. Its just cook a jacket potato as normal - wait for it to cool as you have to handle it. Cut in to quarters, scoop out most of the flesh leaving about 2mm. lay the skins potato side up (skin side down) on a baking tray and cook in the oven for a furher 15 mins. I have them today to go with my butternut squash soup. I put the spare potato flesh in the freezer to mash or make bubble and squeak with. You're not your * could have not of * Debt not dept *0 -

I haven't seen that recipe but I did something similar last week. When I was making mash I generously peeled the potatoes with a knife (rather than peeler) and cooked the peelings in the oven, sprayed with Frylight and sprinkled with paprika. Mmmm!
No idea what I'm eating for the rest of the day. I've had my breakfast porage with a squirt of synned syrup. Maybe bangers and mash for supper. I'm going to be out through the middle of the day. Perhaps buy something out. Very disorganised today.:o
Didn't manage WI today so it'll be next week before I can genuinely complete challenge. To date I'm 1lb up, not too bad for maintaining I suppose.:)0 -
Morning,Good to see you back Blodwen. Hope you felt justifiably slim and gorgeous on your holidays. Just one thing about not weighing: I've found it a good idea to weigh perhaps every 3/4 weeks, that keeps you as a current target member and gives access to website for syn values. In between I'm happy to rely on my jeans to tell me how I'm doing. Just a thought.
Thanks - I felt slim-ish (at least for the first few days!) - it's funny though because although there were lots of svelte bronzed young things in bikinis, there were more... let's say rotund, advancing in years, lobster-hued ladies also in bikinis so I was somewhere in the middle in age, colour and weight, although I didn't wear a bikini! I see what you're saying about staying as a member and it makes sense, but seeing as I don't really follow it properly any more I don't need access to syn values etc and I mainly follow the basic guidelines without referring to anything now. It's partly because I don't want to have to pay again as well- I know this is an incentive to a lot of people but I don't need another incentive, wanting to be slim is enough but I'd rather keep my money at the same time!Massive thank you to Frogga for the baby card & gorgeous baby cardy - did you make it yourself?
I will post a pic of Rebecca in it later when she wakes up x
I obviously missed your good news, congratulations! :jthere is nothing I like better than kicking a Cat,
OI! Although to be fair there probably isn't much my cats would like better than devouring (or maybe just 'playing with') a frog! :rotfl:
Re. soup - I tend to not have bread with it much anymore which is fine if it's a thick, filling soup but thin ones need something. Sometimes have a couple of ryvita with it although have mushroom soup today and have got a slice of nimble WM with it which i'm going to toast and have a blue cheese laughing cow triangle on - can't wait!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Well I'm pleased I haven't succumbed to any rubbish today.:) When I was out I went to Cafe Giadino and had a tuna jacket. I noticed they had the usual tuna mayo mix but also one that was plain tuna with chopped onions and tomatoes in (designed for putting in a Panini with cheese). So I had that, syn free except for a pat of butter.0
