Magic, updated you... Don't be sad at half a pound, it'll come off in no time at all - how about next week? :D

I have a question if you please - you lot seem to eat a lot of soup, but what do you have with it? I always have a ton of bread, which is a really hard habit to break so I steer of soup on SW :( firstly, how do I break the habit and secondly, what would you substitute it with?

    Thanks...

Welcome back Blowden, I think that's a very healthy attitude to have to regarding weight. It's what "normal" people do.

I'm currently sat in my bed drinking tea, like a lady of leisure, it's so nice not to have the pressure of getting up for the day :rotfl: enjoy your day wherever you are xx

Shala_moo - When I have soup I either eat it on it's own or sometimes I'll have a single slice of bread (0.5 HEB) and have something else for the other 0.5 HEB. Another way I have it is poured over mashed potato which thickens it enough not to need bread with it.

  • Morning All,

A friend of mine sent me the basic break down of the slimming world plan last year and I've finally decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. I'm goin to spend the next few weeks trying to get my head round the plan and then make the big leap and join a class.

I've been reading the forum for the last few days so thought I should hi to you all! I'm on day 2 of the plan and all seems to be going pretty well considering I haven't done a specific shop for the plan as I only decided to start it on Mon morning.

  • well as on week 4 of sw diet and lost 12 pound in 3 weeks feeling very positive. I find this diet really fills me up and surprised what I can eat. like last night I made sw chips had mushy peas and beans and a poached egg. felt like I had, had a chippy tea lol. Was completely stuffed. love also the cooked veggy breakfast I can eat, so filling. I eat 2 jacket pot with beans and this really fills me up. i have set my target, but thinking I can go a lot further if I carry on like this. Lost nealy 2 stone in total from first dieting and 9 inch off my waste.
sw start date 23/09/2013 4 st 8 pounds to go....as of 21/10/13 not 3 stone 7 to go for first target. updated 18/11/13 now 2 stone 10lbs to go to first target.

Good to see you back Blodwen. Hope you felt justifiably slim and gorgeous on your holidays. Just one thing about not weighing: I've found it a good idea to weigh perhaps every 3/4 weeks, that keeps you as a current target member and gives access to website for syn values. In between I'm happy to rely on my jeans to tell me how I'm doing. Just a thought.

Good luck piglet. Good idea to work from the food you have before starting SW proper, no point paying when you know you don't have the ingredients in yet to stick to the plan 100%. When you join, you'll get a set of books, access to the website and an introductory talk. Meantime, just ask on here if there's anything you want to know plus there's an explanation in the first post on the board.

EE for ma as usual today:
B: NAS squash, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
    L: Bubble & Squeak
    D: SW Bolognese
Syns: bit of parmesan and maybe squirt of sauce/Branston with lunch

    Hi all,

Struggling with this diet! I have found the extra easy books now - but they are not EE they are actually called mix 2 match. So this is different as it's green or red for each meal mixed up through the day. At the moment I am just trying to follow the EE from the 1st page here but it's hard as my amounts for HEA and HEB are slightly different. Anyway I'm just struggling to stick to it with 2 kids to look after. I know loads of you have kids as well but mine seem to be at very demanding stages where I can barely leave the room without them screaming. So cooking - which I love - is not high on my priority list. I find I grab the wrong thing because I'm in a rush.
    Today:
    B - nothing unfortunately
L - wholemeal bap HEB with ham and pickle, apple
D - beef casserole with mash and loads of veg
    HEA - milk for drinks
    HEB - bread as above
What is LO veg that I see some of you write - lots of?? I don't know some of the abbreviations.
hope you're all doing much better than me!! x

I avoid soup as soup for me is white bread or toast with either chips or crisps in - very healthy no wonder I'm a porker

Struggling today due to the mornings events n I'm resisting eating a binge as I know ill regret it - have bacon in the fridge so going to have bacon fried egg and beans maybe a slice of toast in the hope ill be convinced its enough junk for me :(
    Hate some people :'(
