Hi, please can I join you? I have been lurking and reading your posts for the last few weeks since starting SW and have really appreciated the hints and tips. I've lost 5lb so far and am really hoping to lose another 2 this week (WI Wed) to hit my first 1/2 stone - however I've definitely found it more difficult this week. A couple of times whenIhaventhad control overs what was available to eat, plus getting a bit bored with eating the same things, so need to find some new recipes. (Over to you lot for ideas please). Oh and a few glasses of red wine!
    Here's my menu for today
B soaked porridge oats (Heb), vanilla muller light, peach slices ( tinned so syns)
1/2 Hea skimmed milk for drinks
    Snack -banana
    L m&s lentil rice and aubergine salad (41/2 syns),Apple
    Snack grapes
T- pasta with mushroom and bacon sauce, 20g reduced fat cheddar, (1/2 Hea) choc dessert (5.5 syns)

I'm off now to try the lentil and orange soup from the website which should be good for lunch later in the week. Will put together an egg salad for lunch tomorrow at the same time. (I'm full of good intentions!) :)
    thanks for reading this

Evening all, mum got scan results today - has 3 clots on her lung 😟 not sure what will happen now. Had specialist lung nurse in today and on a wider oxygen tube with water so it's less dry for her. Still a very poorly woman, makes me cry to see her 💦
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Sorry to hear about your mum tie but it's good that she's got a diagnosis at last.

Welcome eleanorf and good for you coming out of lurkdom. I'm another that adapts my existing recipes to SW, amazing what a bit of Frylight can do. The magazines are good for recipes although they generally show up on the website too.Or just try googling.

It's going to be tight for me to get to a group this week so may not be able to WI.

I think you did amazingly well at the supermarket frogga, do hope you kept thinking positive and didn't cave in later. You're doing so well and you must but all thoughts of bingeing behind you. You don't want to a fat Christmas fairy, do you?;)

Sending Hugs and thoughts TIE :A

Welcome to the newbys, hop on board the Wagon

I made it through the night with no Binge, phew, and I feel SO MUCH BETTER for it today. It's amazing we don't remember the feelings of relief or despair BEFORE we stuff :o

So, another day. I'm thinking of applying for another job. I used to work in the Library Service before I went into schools. I really really loved it, it was my perfect job. A possition has come up but it is much further to travel, and so I'd have to get a car again as there is no way I push biking 22 miles! I'd also have to factor in the petrol, but I would take home about £150 more each month so I wouldn't be worse off. I'll have to make a list of fors and againsts. My heart says go for it, my head says don't. Mr Frog said go for it and he's always right. He chose me ;)

Have a good day people. You all get me through

Seem to be having lots of stew type meals at the moment. Think it's probably because it is getting colder.

Today is going to be another Red day:

B - scrambled eggs on toast; 20g reduced fat cheese
L - ham and cheese salad with 50g of cooked taboule (that's bulgar wheat with veggies, if you didn't know) 2 syns
D - beef stifado (World of Flavours SW book); jacket potato

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
HEA2 - 40g reduced fat cheese (split between breakfast & lunch)
    HEB1 - 2 slices WM bread
    HEB2 - jacket potato
    Snacks - grapes, banana, melon

    Syns - 50g cooked taboule 2
    red wine in stifado 1.5

Bought some pink 'n' whites yesterday and had one last night (2.5 syns); may have one this evening as well - if I do my syn total will be 6.

    Denise
